Blunami and Lady Guava
Katy S.

I've driven by The Spot so many times, today we decided to drop in for a smoothie. The Spot is honestly so chill. The customer service deserves a 10/10, everyone working here was so nice. The cafe itself is really cute and I love how open it feels when you walk in. As for the smoothies, they were pretty good. We tried the Blunami and Lady Guava. The Blunami was probably our favorite! If you're in the area, definitely give The Spot a try!

Stopped by on Sunday, 02/02/25 during lunch time. Ordered the following to-go: - 1 Chick a Bowl = $12 - 1 Basil Chicken = $12 (free since I received a T-Mobile BOGO coupon) SUBTOTAL = $12 TAX = $1.14 OVERALL TOTAL = $13.14 I placed another order: - 1 vegan avocado wrap = $12 - 1 baseline smoothie = $4.50 (with oat milk = 1.50, regular size = $2.45) - 1 lady guava smoothie = $4.50 (with oat milk = 1.50, regular size = $2.45) SUBTOTAL = $28.90 10% off coupon = -$2.89 TAX = $1.03 TOTAL = $27.04 This place is super healthy and menu is pretty extensive. Located near Trader Joes!!!!

Pitzer Switzer

My favorite juice/smoothie shop in Claremont! I've really loving their hulk shake recently, but their smoothies are my usual (Lady Guava or Baseline). The Pitzer Switzer panini is always my go-to panini. Service is quick and I love how the place always smells like a fresh panini LOL. I am a forever customer!

I was really excited to try out this place given that they have so many healthy options for food and have many accommodations for specific food diets. However, I ordered an oven roasted turkey rice bowl and found a bug in my rice. My boyfriend went back to the register to let the staff know and they offered to make a new bowl to mkeup for it, which he declined and they did not offer a refund.

Came here for a quick lunch with my date and it was a little weird. The workers here are so unfriendly it's funny. The two ladies that were working were so pessimistic. Their menu is pretty big but the portion sizes for each item is so small for how much you pay. If you're trying to get a sandwhich you might as well go to the nearby sprouts one which will have more stuff on it for half the price. I got the cilantro chicken salad which was decent but didn't have anything special about it. My date got their turkey pesto and was upset because the cheese wasn't melted. It was rock solid. You would think for a panini, the cheese would be melted?

Spicy Tuna Wrap

The SPOT as you know, I said is Fire but today I tried their spicy tuna wrap, which is actually, if your wanting that kick of spice in your mouth then you need to try this!!!!!

****UPDATE*****: Came back for the quinoa bowl and stayed a bit to work. I'd say the current Yelp rating of 3.5 is more accurate than my 4 stars. Staying a bit, I noticed that this place needs a really good deep clean. Also, the kale in my quinoa bowl was yellowed...not appetizing. Also, the menu didn't list that it has cheese and also, I think the Tandoori potatoes are sweet potatoes, so that was a surprise, since I was expecting regular potatoes. On the upside, the bowl is DELICIOUS, despite the yellowed kale. I've never had tandoori anything and the potatoes were yummy, despite my expecting regular potatoes. I'd just say make these minor tweaks and you could potentially be 5 star. But really, if you're gonna use old kale in my bowl, at least trim the yellow off so that I don't know it. ****ORIGINAL POST**** Don't know if the other folks came in on an off day, but my workers and customer service were fine. The smoothies are still as good as I remember, and I appreciate them allowing me to modify due to my food intolerances. The only thing is I do wish that they would offer a child size in that healthy smoothie / shake section of their menu because sometimes I'm not that hungry. Hoping to come back and try the quinoa bowl!

Back again switched it up a bit on the bagel today nonetheless it was a 10/10 presentation wasn't but that don't matter lol , the drink was a 7/10 I changed it up a bit to see if I'd like it but it's okay I got the healthiest smoothie with pineapple added minus the banana and almond milk made with orange juice instead . Service 10/10 as usual and it was relaxing inside today it's never noisy they got good music always playing nice to just enjoy yourself for 15/30 minutes while you eat !

The Antioxidant

Hidden gem next to Trader Joe's, I love coming here for one thing and one thing only. The salads! I've been obsessed for years. If you haven't tried the antioxidant salad or the crazy good honey goat cheese salad then you are missing out. These salads are well made paired with the salad dressing makes these salads not only delicious, but a joy to eat. I wish they sold the honey goat salad dressing by the bottle. If you ever do, please add this option to Postmates. This is such a great salad dressing. I typically order a large and split it into two meals. Highly recommend ordering these salads for catering or events. Always a hit and never any leftovers. Also recommend the chocolate chip cookies. They are really good paired with an ice cold cup of milk. Highly recommend trying this spot out. Staff and service is always on point.

I picked this up for a good two day cleanse! 32 oz. Super Flush Lemon Water $8.50...Lemon, cayenne pepper, strawberries, agave and purified water. Great price and tastes pretty good! Nice lady that helped me. Definitely suggest if needed! Love this safe and beautiful location. Be back soon!!!

Pitaya Power
Vicky L.

It's been a few years since I've last come to The Spot, and I'm really happy I revisited this place!! I used to come here a lot during med school before the pandemic for their acai bowls. Today after my Trader Joe run, I decided to swing thru and try out a smoothie. I got their Pitaya Power and man, if you could put OB&J into a smoothie, this would be it! I wasn't expecting it to taste like PB&J, but honestly I really enjoyed it. My husband also wouldn't give it back to me after trying it lol. The worker was friendly and was prompt with my order. Overall a casual place that you can get smoothies, acai bowls, sandwiches and other snacks. I remember why I loved them so much in the past and can't wait for the next time!

The Spot..ain't the spot.

Ambiance/Environment: They have a large space with plenty of indoor seating. They have two rooms - one for studying and the other for social. It's very clean inside. Great spot to get some work done or even chill. They also sell their own beans! All merchandise are located in the main room! Service: The cashier that assisted us was nice and personable. Throughput was quick after ordering. Drinks: I decided to try their seasonal drinks for the summer, and my sister decided to try their stable drinks. 1) Bonfire Mocha - This mocha contains house made marshmallow syrup, cocoa powder, crush honey graham crackers, milk, and topped with a marshmallow cream top. It's definitely sweet with rich chocolate and marshmallow flavors. You can definitely taste all the ingredients described. I prefer the marshmallow cream top to be a bit thicker, considering it is marshmallow after all. 2) Chai Latte - My sister thought her drink was okay. Mind you, this is her first time trying chai lol. I took a sip of her drink, and the cinnamon and cardamom flavors were strong. It's a bit sweeter than I prefer, but it can always be adjusted. Pricing: A bit more than average. They offer rewards through Cash App. I'd visit once in a while to try their other drinks and pastries.

Coworker's Paradise in North Pomona! (sorry if it sounds like I'm writing a Zillow listing, but I'm…read morejust trying to get this to show up in search results if anyone else is curious LOL) OUTLETS: Plenty of outlets!!! There's a set of steps with pillows on each step with a block of about six outlets beside them, and a really comfy, sinky couch (plus an ottoman and two comfy looking armchairs and a big table in the middle) with a set of two outlets on the wall and a star shaped power strip sticking out of the ground with six outlets coming out of it. There are also regular tables and it seems like there are outlets beside them as well. WIFI: The wifi is open (no password necessary), even though they have a password listed where you pick up your food (it's just Sanctuary Coffee). I tried to use one of the locked ones (the only one that made sense), but the wifi password didn't work, so I'm not sure why they have one listed. Regardless, albeit not the fastest wifi I've ever used, it's incredibly doable. I have been working remote here for 1.5 hrs and had almost no issues. MENU: For LA, relatively cheap. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so I got the peach Italian soda, which was yummy. I believe it was about $4.89, which is not bad at all. I went to And Destroy in the Highland Park-ish area, and I believe an Italian soda with cream (cream is free here) was maybe $7-8. I'm used to paying more for drinks because the specialty (non coffee and tea) drinks are usually pricey, but this was one of the cheapest things on the menu. Also, you can claim a free pastry with your email and first name on their website (it sends you a voucher, just show the email). I got the banana bread, which was fine. I would've gotten zucchini, but it wasn't chocolate chip zucchini. ATMOSPHERE: Not too loud, the music is nice and chill and not very loud. There's cute art on the walls and homey looking lamps. It's the quintessential living room coffee shop, perhaps even rivaling Republik Coffee in Burbank in comfiness, noise level, aesthetic, and price (which is a bummer, because I likely will never be back - we just happened to be in North Pomona today, and I have no idea when we'd ever elect to drive this far again LOL). PARKING: It's in a little strip mall, so there's an actual aboveground lot with plenty of free parking (at least I think it's free, I got dropped off so I didn't pay much attention). Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking to cowork in a cozy atmosphere for relatively cheap in the North Pomona area. It checks all of my boxes except distance from home. I hope this review helps someone, because I always try to find this information on Yelp about new places to visit and it can be very difficult to find! BATHROOM: I believe there are two single person bathrooms like not stalls just one bathroom. Cute art and aesthetic inside, there are hooks on the walls for your stuff. The air dryer was not very strong and there were no paper towels or seat covers, but other than that there was a nice faucet and cute nice soap like homey soap you'd see in someone's house, and the lock worked fine.

There are a few different seating options (communal table, couch, smaller tables, on the stage...and more) and it is a great place to socialize, work, or just relax. My all time favorite drink is the bowl of soul with coconut creme tea (hot). It originally comes with Earl grey (I think) but the coconut tea adds a sweet flavor that I personally enjoy. The tea steeps in hot soy milk and is flavored with honey and cinnamon. Drinking it truly feels like "a bowl of soul". It's great on a cold or rainy day and it always lightens my mood. Highly recommend! In the summer, I really like the get the "make your own smoothie". It is especially good with granola and honey! Tastes like a blended fruit bowl! It's amazing. A crowd favorite is also the matcha cha cha which is just a matcha latte (hot or cold). You can also tell them to add different flavors to it! I've heard the white chocolate syrup is good with that. Another yummy treat to try is their bagels (+cream cheese)!! I don't know what it is, but the bagels at the motley are delicious. You can toast them up yourself on the counter to the right of the cashier. I personally like the cinnamon raisin or blueberry but they have many many sweet and savory flavors. They also have a student bake-off every semester where the winners get to sell their goods in store. These are often very very good so definitely worth a try if you see it in the display case!
