I'm a UCLA student so I have a bit of a bias here. I love the sandwiches, pizzas and salads at the study. However, I will say the coffee and drinks are pretty terrible :/ Great place to study, though. This is one of my top places to come and really really get work done. There's this room we students call "the fishbowl" where its quiet and all the seats are super comfy. There are also some private study rooms, but you have to reserve them, otherwise you'll probably get kicked out. Overall, I like coming here. The one thing that really sucks though is the wait to get food can be super long if you come for dinner. Like 30 minutes sometimes if it's really busy.

My comfort and go to choice on campus. Although it did mix up my order once (they put cucumber in my sandwich instead of tomato which was what I ordered), the sandwich is just so good, especially when I had prosciutto with the roasted chicken breast together--it was legit.

So I went to go visit a friend at UCLA since it had been a while that I'd seen her. We decided to eat but it was late at night and there aren't that many places open on campus, so we went to The Study at Hedrick. We ordered online and they had some pretty good options I'm not going to lie. Once our order was ready we headed over to go pick up our sandwiches. When we finally sat down I opened my sandwich and it smelled really good but unfortunately they did mess up my order and they also messed up my friends order. It was a little disappointing but I can't complain cuz I didn't pay for it. I think what really topped it off was when some guy sat in between me and my friend and was listening to our conversation, and then got up and left when it was starting to get boring. I honestly enjoyed the experience and would definitely go back!

The Study - UCLA 10/10 Review: bro another UCLA W. Like this place is another meal swipe next to the dorms. The sandwich here is fire and it's a build your own. u needa make sure u have some Food IQ to build a bussin sandwich so make sure to know ur combos. Salads are also a big W. The first time i had this place it just changed my life. i realized i was in college and i was like dang, i can come here everyday. sandwich is so big and they pack that thing massively with love. Thank you UCLA!!!! Zot Zot

The made to order pizza is so fresh and delicious. Absolutely love the study at Hedrick. It's so worth the walk up stairs.

Pictured: the worst nitro coffee, the very last thing you should ever order here

Just stopping by real quick to say that this establishment is home to the worst nitro cold brew I've ever had lolol. Every sip had me gagging, and I like black coffee usually. Also the almond croissant it came with, though pretty, was basically a tough brioche like the ones at kerchkoff when unheated. If you're looking for a cold refreshing coffee, get *any other iced coffee drink on the menu* than the nitro ( also note: doesn't come with ice by default!) Otherwise, great well maintained space! Can get crowded but plenty of seats and outlets and a variety of study environments depending on your mood. Plus, a nice man named Saul let me replace the nitro with an iced americano.

Sourdough bagel (bread) with smoked salmon (protein), plain cream cheese (spread), and red onions and capers (two toppings) for one swipe.

Do they take reservations for study areas or is it a first come, first serve sort of thing?

The tables outside or for anyone, it's first come first serve basically. You just get in line then wait for your order standing

Hi, is this exclusively for ucla students or can outsiders come in too?

Is it only for ucla students?

No, customers have the option of paying with card. You have to order in the market station

Their mozzarella sandwich is a masterpiece with Fresh Ovoline Mozzarella, Avocado, Alfalfa Sprouts, Pickled Red Onion and a delicious Za'atar Spread. What makes it stand out as one of the best sandwiches in LA is the bread. They make their own focaccia several times a day and it is divine. Probably the only other place that can dare to match their creations is La Zucca at the Beverly Hills Cheese Store. Some of our other favorites is the tuna sandwich. Service is always on point and the sandwich travels well for consuming it at home. There isn't a ton of space to sit, but there is some counter style seating. Tip: Their menu is limited by choice. Check their Daily specials (Sandwich of the Day) for inspiration. They have 3 kids sandwiches (all are meat based). Tip: The biggest challenge is parking, sometimes metered parking is available. Otherwise, park for free in neighborhood streets away from Montana. It's a pleasant walk.

The bread was crunchy, arugula fresh, and the pesto mayonnaise was great. However, it almost felt a little....underseasoned? I wish it had a bit more of a punch to it. You do get a good amount of food for what you're paying for, but personally, I'd rather go to All'Antico Vinaio in Venice and get a sandwich that costs a little bit more, but you get more food and a better seasoning. I'd go here again if I was in a pinch, but personally wouldn't try again.

Mikael was so lovely & made sure we enjoyed after grabbing a turkey and the di Parma. My only request was that we try something with the artichoke spread and boy did it hit the spot. Plan to get messy because these are melt-watering and filled with TOP spreads. The bread was light and airy and Aryeh even claimed it as the BEST sandwich in LA. Will be back to try more for sure!

The bread is continually baked throughout service so you are guaranteed fresh bread for your sandwich. It's apparently the chef's nonnna' recipe, too. The bread MADE the sandwich. The fillings were fine. I felt the tuna sandwich was carelessly made and the ingredients were just slapped on instead of being evenly spread so you get a little bit of everything with each bite. Some bites were all Calabrian chile and no tuna and some bites were all tuna and no chile. My companion loved the Rimini more. This might be a one and done for me. If I'm paying $20 for a sandwich, it's gotta wow me like the Lorenzo at Lorenzo.
