I've been to Cofax Coffee many times now and like it a lot! They have the same ownership as Bludso's Bar & Que which is a brand I have great confidence in! Known for their breakfast burritos, they are quite good here. I'm not gonna pretend it's as thick as my usual spot for a slightly higher price, but still - quite good! I have had the Crispy bacon, tater tots, jack cheese, scrambled egg & pickled jalapeños, as well as the Smoked chorizo hash with potatoes, bell peppers and onions, scrambled egg, jack cheese, pico de gallo & crushed tortilla chips. Good medleys of ingredients, ingredients always cooked well and seem fresh, great flavor. This is a really reliable spot for me for a great bfast burrito for sure. Bonus, they have Nuts & Bolts donuts here, nice and fluffy little guys. I love the chocolate! Main thing though, the coffee is fabulous here. They use Counter Culture Coffee, according to their website. It's bold, rich and gives me just the caffeine boost I need. They have a couple seats inside and outside, but most here are picking up and going. Warning if there is a streetwear drop across the street, the shop gets extra busy! read more

Had the veggie burrito which was good but not amazing (didn't include cheese because lactose intolerant), tossed on the red chili salsa which gave it more flavor because it was a bit bland for me, even added avocado. Once listed in the infamous "50 Places to eat before you die" articles in thrillist and huff post and once in the LA Times, this place's burritos have fallen far from their prominence. I remember the line going out the door. Now it's practically a ghost town. The doughnuts are still pretty delicious and apparently the coffee is good, still lots of patrons coming in for that. But you have got to be kidding me with the burritos. I was so disappointed, I made a special trip across town, completely out of my way just to get a burrito for myself and my lady. We bought two, what a waste. Where are the crunchies? Where was the chorizo? It was like an egg and cheese burrito, just horrible. I don't know who is in charge of this place, but you've ruined it!! Who in their right mind would have changed the burrito recipe? It's madness. No wonder no one comes in anymore, you should ashamed, and you should remove the kitchen and all your breakfast burritos from the menu. Give it up, it's over. We have been hoping to find the best breakfast burrito in LA, so we came to Cofax! We got the impossible and chorizo burritos.m for a total of $32. Impossible burrito (4/5): The soy chorizo was flavorful and the eggs were cooked well. Sometimes eggs are rubbery when you buy them at restaurants, but this definitely wasn't the case here. I removed the pinto beans and did not feel like the burrito was missing anything! It took many bites of the burrito to reach the impossible meat, so I wish the ingredients were more evenly distributed. Burritos came with a red and green salsa which both paired well, but I think I am more of a creamy sauce type of person. I don't believe there's sauce inside the burrito itself which I would've liked. If they toasted the burritos a little bit, that would be nice as well since the tortillas were very soft (not in a bad way). Street parking available. We drove out to Fairfax to try Cofax when I saw they had a special breakfast burrito in collaboration with the YouTube channel Good Mythical Morning. As expected, we had to park a little bit away and walk in. There's no dedicated parking for Cofax which is on par with every other businesses in this area. The store itself is really nice and welcoming. It's small, but it never felt cramped while we were there at 10:30am on a Saturday. There are a few bar stools to sit on, one small nook in the corner, and 2 small tables outside. It definitely feels like this is built to be more of a to go spot than dine in. Decor is very Dodgers which I personally loved. They have a ton of bobbleheads everywhere that my sons loved. It definitely adds to the 'we're your neighborhood brunch spot' vibe. Staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful. A+ to them. However, we found everything we ordered to just be fine. Not to mention my wife ordered a veggie breakfast sandwich and we didn't realize until we left that they actually gave us a veggie breakfast burrito. Not a huge issue, but she was definitely disappointed especially since we couldn't conveniently go back to have the order fixed. The burritos are all big and filling, but you're definitely paying for mostly potatoes. And when you're being charge $13 or so for one, you would at least hope there would be more meat to justify that price point. The burrito I got was very tasty (it was a hot link breakfast burrito that I will admit was very unique and did have a great heat kick to it). My sons shared a bacon burrito but what we didn't know was that they included a bunch of jalapeños in it that scared them away from eating more. Even after we picked them out, there was still some of the juice in there that ruined it for them. I wish we had known that before we ordered so we could ask to have them not included. I could be wrong, but I feel like jalapeno isn't that common of a breakfast burrito item so it never even crossed our mind to ask for it. We thought maybe some pico de Gallo or something in it, but not jalapeños. Oh well. I guess live and learn. So, in all, would I rush back to Cofax? No. I don't think it was worth the drive from the valley for us. However, if I'm ever in the area and in the mood for a breakfast burrito, I could see myself swinging by and picking one up. This place has lived up to the hype for sure!!! My bf brought me here after he came the day before with a friend and said I had to try their breakfast burritos! He's already come before and had their smash burger which he really likes! I got the veggie burrito with no egg (I have a weird allergy to eggs!) they were kind enough and gave me extra veggies and avocado to replace the eggs. It was bomb af!!! Their salsa are so good the red one a little to spicey for my liking though. My bf got the bacon burrito that comes with hash brown inside! He loved it! We also got two coffees, a French toast donut and a cinnamon roll! In total it was like $35? but honestly what do you expect in Fairfax! Anyways we'll definitely return the staff we're all super nice. It's small inside so there's limited seating but they have a table outside too. I'll be honest, COFAX is the best breakfast burrito in the city. The Pastrami breakfast burrito is mind blowing good. So why am I only giving 3 stars? Because they consistently fail to make it properly. It comes with jalapenos. A lot of people like that but I hate them. Hate them. Cofax has modification option of "no jalapenos" which is awesome...if it works. 3 of the last 5 burritos I ordered came with jalapenos even though I ordered without. So I paid almost $20 (not to mention the delivery fees and wait) for something I didn't order and can't eat. Accuracy and consistency are the most important things to keep me coming back. If Cofax can't manage to make the burritos without jalapenos, they should take that mod option off the apps. read more

There's too many coffee shops to choose from in LA but if you're looking for a top notch breakfast burrito and a yummy homemade spiced chai - add this spot to your roster! Order was ready when it said it would be, the employees were very friendly and on top of it and it's obviously a popular spot because there was a line to the door. Parking can be a bit dicey in the neighborhood especially if you're there on the weekend AND the weather is nice out so allow for extra time if you're on the clock. The hot link burrito is tasty and comes in decent portion size. Ample portions of egg, hashbrowns, and Bludso hot link sausages in each bite. The tortilla seems to be good quality and kept all the tasty bits in neatly including some pieces of pickled jalapeños. Also always appreciate a place that serves both roja and verde salsa. Stuffed with bacon so if you want to eat side of bacon in tortilla this is your jam. Def not umami in this thing. Burrito w bacon: 4/5 - Its weird there's elements of this I would rank higher than others so here we go, first time trying. Creativity: 5/5 - I would say all their options were fairly unique than your average hash, egg and meat. The meat variety and the various cheeses in it elevated it. Beefcake size?: 5/5 - Definitely the heaviest breakfast burrito I've had. So just on that alone is probably worth the price. Ingredient combo: 3/5 - I think it had allll the elements of something great. It was textbook good. But there wasn't enough egg to cheese ratio to potato. There was too much cheese. And then the jalapeno was a great add on if it wasn't just kinda sitting there while dealing with the cheese globs and salt from the bacon. Def couldn've been harmonious. It came with some pretty good salsa on the side too that had a good kick! Ambiance: 3.75/5 It is small. There's a single table and bar seating. This review is for delivery. I ordered the breakfast burrito special bogo and the donut bogo. Great deal but I know why. I think they may have been trying to unload those burritos. They were terrible and inedible. I had heard from so many people that these were the best. It was pretty disappointing to spend all that money having them delivered and not being able to eat it. They were not only cold which is to be expected with delivery sometimes, but the "chorizo" wasn't mixed in with the egg and it was like rubber and the taste was off. The reason for the additional star is the donut was bomb! It tasted fresh and was super fluffy.
