    Mexican Street Elote

This convivence store/gas station restaurant doesn't look like much but it is the true definition of a hidden gem. I'm not sure if the restaurant goes by "Don Taco" or "Guapo Taco" but signage for Guapo Taco was painted on the inside and outside when I visited. I tried the Mexican Street Elote and Birria Tacos. The elote was some of the best I have ever tried (even when in Mexico). Juicy corn was topped and mixed with creamy mayo and sour cream and paired perfectly with hot sauce. The tacos were also phenomenal! Savory crisped tortillas were filled with tender flavorful beef and gooey cheese and paired flavorful consommé for dipping, crisp onions, limes, and flavorful cilantro. This was some of the best Mexican food I have had in Texas and a must try.

Y'all already know gas station tacos are the best tacos! I didn't make the rule it's just the way it is! Now let's get into these tacos! The reviews did not lie! These tacos are SO good!! There way the picture looks is exactly the way they taste, sensational! If you are in the area or willing to drive these tacos will not let you down!!

We just moved here from Dallas and we have been having trouble finding a good taco spot.... well... WE FOUND IT! They are really good and if you like alittle extra salt you can add it. The vibe is nice, and his customer service is great! Now, they are a bit pricey if you dont come on a day with a special but its worth it! AND he has Elotes & Aguas frescas

Came back here for the first time since beginning of Covid. I guess this place really boomed since then!!! I love me some Birrieria tacos so I got those which were sooo crispy and greasy in a good way. The consome was beefy as expected. I thought the street tacos were pretty standard, it didn't stand out imo. And the beans/rice were forgettable. What makes this stand out is the owner, he cares about the customers and will go out of his way to make you happy. Deserves a 5 star.

The best birria tacos I've had in a long time!!

Holy sh!$t!!, we have been in Austin for over a year hoping to find some good Birria Tacos, no luck, we found some freaking amazing tacos here in Ft Worth. Please don't let the place turn you away when you pull up. Yes it's a gas station, yes it doesn't look like a place with amazing tacos but come on in! My wife and I had the birria with consumel, deliciooooosss! I love when the tacos are nice and crispy and the cheese is so hot when you bite in you know they're fresh. The guacamole salsa has a nice bite and just so good. We were here in Dallas to see our Dodgers win 2 out of 3 from the Rangers, Guapo Tacos capped off a great weekend. Next time I am coming to Dallas I'm making a point to head into Ft Worth to get my fix of birria! It's a small place, support this great local eatery.

The hype is real! BEST Birria tacos I have had in DFW. Yes, it's in a gas station.. but to me that makes it better lol. The tacos were packed with meant and meat seasoned to perfection. Beyond the amazing tacos the service was friendly! The man held a nice casual conversation with me which was surprising for the environment. I WILL BE BACK!

Guapos Tacos, Ft. Worth: A Unique Take on Mexican Fare Ambiance: Guapos Tacos in Ft. Worth is located in an unsuspecting location within a gas station to the far right corner hidden behind the cashier desk. The decor is simple and overall the dining experience is casual. Food: I started with the Guapo taco, which was bursting with flavor and generously topped with crunchy cabbage. It was a delightful introduction to their menu. Next, I tried the burrito, filled with garbanzo beans, corn, cilantro, and a variety of other ingredients. While flavorful, I personally prefer Mexican dishes with subtle flavors that allow the star ingredients to shine. Nevertheless, I appreciated the craftsmanship and unique approach to their offerings. Overall Experience: Guapos Tacos offers a refreshing twist on traditional Mexican cuisine, catering to those who enjoy bold and diverse flavors. The food is crafted with care, showcasing a creative blend of ingredients that may not align perfectly with my personal taste preferences but certainly demonstrate culinary expertise. Would I recommend it? For adventurous eaters seeking inventive Mexican dishes in Ft. Worth, Guapo Tacos is worth exploring. While it may not align with everyone's flavor preferences, the vibrant ambiance and innovative menu make it a standout in the local dining scene.

In the back corner of a convenience store, Guapo Taco is a hidden gem to be sure. Absolutely perfect birria tacos. Flavorful filling with an exterior crunch and a consommé that will become your best friend. Served with a heap of cilantro and chopped onions. Cannot wait to come back.

Without a doubt the best Birria tacos you're going to find in Fort Worth You'll be surprised that you've never heard of this place before. We just happened to drive by and saw birria tacos sold out of a gas station, that was all we needed to know. Sure enough, easily top 3 taco I've ever had

This is a small taco stand in the back of a gas station convenience store. The taco meats were seasoned nicely, the veggies crunchy and fresh, the salsa tasty and hot! If you like small divey taco places that deliver solid street style tacos, try Guapo Taco. It was recommended to us by some locals as some of the best tacos in Ft Worth so we stopped in for a lunch bite. There a few tables that seat 4 people inside. It seems a lot order tacos to go. The menu was not extensive but what they served was delicious. Would definitely visit this place again when I am hungry for a good street style taco.

Guapo Taco is a hidden gem. It's inside the gas station with a casual interior. Absolutely blown away with the quality of the food here. Birria consumé is smoky, beefy, rich, and delicious. They have trophies on display for their Al pastor tacos but I'm telling you, the consumé is insanely good. Really welcoming staff too.

This place is freaking amazing, didn't expected the flavors by the looks of outside, I don't live close to here but will be back. Food taste like if you were in TJ Mexico

They were stuffed with tender meat and were not excessively greasy. They come with onion and cilantro and three different salsas. Kind of embarrassed to say I ate it all but I couldn't help it.
