Good drink deals on standard beer/seltzers, but we were disappointed in the food. We came in around 8:45pm before a show. There seemed to only be 1 employee running around to the tables, and he was doing a great job (taller guy with beard and muscular build - idk his name)! Server was definitely the highlight. However, we waited 45min for our tacos and rice bowls, and the food fell flat - rice was undercooked and the meat was also dry. The sauce helped a little, but overall, was very disappointed ESPECIALLY since we also had to wait a long time. (They said they had to make more rice which caused the delay?) I didn't have high expectations for the food coming here, but after spending $80 on two entrees, a margarita, and a few beers with that much wait, I won't be rushing back.

Delicious and fun, love me some claw machines and some good drinks. Staff was nice and friendly. They have cheap drinks and not so cheap, pick your poison. Will definitely be back

Went here to watch a basketball game with my husband. There is a small parking lot in the back. We got a table in front of the big tv. I believe the manager was who took care of us. Got our drink order right away. We ordered a bucket of high noons which I thought was a good deal. For food, we ordered chicken wings and nachos. The food took a little long to come out but they told us that ahead of time. We weren't in a hurry anyway since we were watching.m the game. Lots of different flavors for the wings. We chose honey sriracha which was tasty with a little heat. The pork nachos were a good size. We were full after that. Although you could call this a dive bar, the restrooms were clean. Overall had a good time. When I was done drinking, our server brought over some waters so we could stay hydrated.

Orlando-Great lil dive bar with great drinks. Hard to believe their Old Fashioned was actually made with Woodford Reserve without even "calling" it! That was a very pleasant surprise! They make their own margarita mix too. I like the dive bar feel, but the gal working was definitely not happy to be there today. I like a more relaxed feel and she definitely was very uptight and wasn't friendly. The 3 of us ordered burritos. 2 Birria, and one pork, along with guacamole and chips. The guac had some kind of additive that made it taste off. Just avocado, lime, onions, jalapeño, and cilantro is allll you need. No fake filler to make it go further. All of the burritos were more rice than meat. They were ok, but not anything that would make us return.

The bar is a very chill spot. There is parking in the back but be careful because since the road to parking basically fits one car at a time. They have a few games inside and I love going to places that have dollar bills on the walls because there is always a story behind it. The server/bartender was running the whole thing as ithere was just a decent amount of people there. He was attentive and made sure i was good! I heard their birria melts is good and that was not a lie! The meat was well seasoned. The melt had the pull cheese when you bite from it. Of course the consume perfectly added to the whole thing. I also ordered half elote for my side. The corn was perfectly cooked. As I dined alone and just chilled for a bit watching college football (well trying to understand whats going on), I enjoyed this place.

I ordered online to pick up. The order was ready on time and easy to pick up. I got 2 birria tacos. I like that they have an option make them crispy. I think the inside of the tacos were a little drier than expected with birria tacos but they were still good when eaten with the broth.

We wanted somewhere super casual, near downtown as we had another stop there, and Mexican sounded good. It is an unassuming establishment and calls itself a 'vibe' vs a dive bar. It's a dive bar IMO with really great food. They are located on colonial and although they have signage, it's easy to pass. They have several parking spots but it was a slow night and that lot was half full, so I imagine it would be hard to park there for games and such. This is not generally my scene, but we were thoroughly impressed. They had a jukebox, dart throwing and sports on. It was loud but we could communicate. Our server was Mark. He was incredible. He was managing several tables and the phones - all at the same time. The menu is impressive for such a small place and leans to bar food and Mexican. There are even a few Vegan and other specialty options. And they have happy hour too. I noticed that a lot of the food options were listed as spicy and that's not what I wanted. So, I custom-made a quesadilla. It was huge and so very good (one piece pictured). One of the best I've had here in Orlando and not overloaded with cheese - the perfect amount. My husband had 3 pork tacos and couldn't finish them. They were also very, very good. We had leftovers which was nice. And, they have great prices! I think our bill (without the discount) was only about $35!! I had a basic $5 glass of wine and he had a Corona. Not bad and satisfied the craving. If you are down there and looking for this vibe and food, check them out. We will definitely go again!

Very friendly staff as well as customers. Guacamole was delicious and fresh. It was taco Tuesday and the tacos were absolutely delicious! A low-key fun place to go and just relax. We'll definitely go back when I'm in town.

Tavern is one of the best hidden gems in Orlando. The menu isn't huge but everything they do is very, very good. The Birria tacos are my favorite thing, but the spicy chicken nachos, quesadillas, and elote are all awesome, too. The drink prices are great, staff is always cool and attentive, and as it says inside "it's not a dive bar, it's a vibe bar." Tavern is a 5/5 for sure.

I really wanted to love this place, but it was just OK for me. It is a hole in the wall, but the creative touch of the dollar bills and the small aesthetic wall are a nice touch. The taste of the burrito was just a little bland the rice was not good at all with little cheese and I have tasted better. Customer service was attentive and prices are pretty average to compare to everywhere else.

Wow! What a nice surprise! From the outside and as you first walk in, the restaurant feels like a little bit of a dive bar. I have no problem at all with dive bars! They can be fun and fantastic. However, this place really wasn't a dive bar. it has a nice vibe to it. The service was lightning fast, and the food included some of the best tacos I've ever had in my life. The menu is also very affordable! I had the shrimp tacos and the beans & rice side dish.

We were staying at a Holiday Inn near Disney Springs so we decided to come here for a late dinner. One of the best decisions made here. We did a late night walk through the shopping center and landed here around 9:50 pm. It was pretty late and we worried there would be no seats but we were seated promptly. The establishment was very ambient, cozy, and well furnished. I liked the warm, glowing atmosphere of the restaurant. The server was extremely polite and took our order quite soon. We were starving after a long day but the food came out in around 20ish minutes which wasn't too bad. The serving sizes were quite huge. We didn't expect this much food for two portions. For $34 per plate, the dishes were large and came with a large helping of sides. The fried chicken was extremely crispy and juicy. They originally wanted to serve the food quickly/more fresh so they served a chicken thigh to me after on a second plate. They also forgot my substitution of Mac n cheese for mash potatoes so I got a free helping of mash which was sweet. The pickled cucumber was light and fresh which tasted great with the heavier chicken. The potatoes were a little heavy and I wish came with gravy, but still delicious. I really loved the Mac n cheese and finished that up. The chicken steak was also delicious with the grits but a little too salty. Wish they added the grits to the side for me to dip as it became a little too much at times. It was better to eat it with a side of potatoes to balance the flavor. The broccolini was sautéed perfectly and delicious, could eat a whole plate of those alone. The biscuits weren't bad but tasted better eaten with the potatoes. The food was a little heavy but so so good. We had to take half of the food to our hotel and ate it the next day for dinner as it was way too much food for one meal. Even after microwaving it, the food was just as delicious and flavorful. We spent about $80 but had so much food leftover. An expensive dinner, but everything tasted amazing. Would definitely come back if I had the chance.

At this time, the restaurant was quiet, but by the time we left the place was packed. It should be noted we left at closing time as we had such a fun and enjoyable experience. Our happiness (and the fact we spent almost seven hours here) was due to our server, Emily B. Although Emily told us she has only been working as a server here for the last two weeks, I think she will have a great run at this location. She has an effervescent personality and was easy to talk to and laugh with, which she displayed to all of her customers. Obviously, we became good friends with her throughout the night. Emily allowed us to have a tasting of various wines to determine which one we would like to select for the evening. We went with the Adelsheim Pinot Noir ($88 a bottle) to start the night. We ordered the Bacon Wrapped Dates (serving of three), the Burrata (a combination of cheese, basil pesto, tomatoes and balsamic dijon vinaigrette on wood grilled ciabatta bread), the Tuna Crudo (seared ahi tuna with cucumbers, pineapple and cilantro) and a board consisting of Spanish style salame and aged Gouda cheese. The board also had roasted almonds and honeycomb, along with the bread. As the night continued, we ordered another bottle of the Pinot Noir and a second helping of the fantastic Burrata. We appreciated the fact that we were not rushed from our table as we were allowed to have a relaxing and enjoyable evening of great conversation. At the end of the night, Emily provided us with a slice of olive oil citrus cake on the house. (What a thoughtful touch!) It was a heavenly ending to the evening and went well with our wine selection. If you are ever at this Winter Park location, I highly recommend you request Emily B.'s section if you are able to do so. As stated above, she made our evening. Thank you, Emily B!

If you're planning to come here, I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. We had to wait for our table, so it's better to plan ahead. As far as the food, I ordered something that was okay, but honestly, it didn't really blow my mind. The people I was with ordered the chicken sandwich and tomato soup, and they really enjoyed those. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest issue during our visit. I would give the service 2 stars out of 5. It took a very long time for our waitress to come over and take our order. There were also several issues with the drinks. She brought mine but forgot the rest of the party. Later, she brought one more and then forgot another one. She seemed to be all over the place, and eventually we had to ask someone else for one of my kids' drinks. When she finally came back, she explained that they were out of some of the items we had ordered, so one person in our party couldn't get what they originally wanted. After we placed the new order, it also took quite some time for the food to come out. We were there around lunchtime, so I was surprised that the service was moving so slowly. One thing to know is that they currently only have one menu for brunch and dinner which would be helpful for checking the options ahead of time. On the bright side, they do have happy hour, which is always a plus. Overall, I really liked the atmosphere and the location, but the service definitely needs some improvement. This location is right on Park Avenue in Winter Park, so it's a nice area to visit and walk around afterward.

I ordered the fried green tomatoes to start, but they were forgotten until after our main plates had already landed on the table. When they arrived, the execution was decent. The batter didn't adhere well and slipped off the tomatoes, though the accompanying sauce carried the dish nicely. On the drink side, the virgin blackberry lemonade hit the mark completely: balanced, tart, and refreshing. The breakfast mains were where the kitchen redeemed itself. I built my meal around the bacon and mushroom omelette, which was formidable. It was fully loaded with bacon, cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms without feeling greasy or heavy. They had run out of biscuits, which was surprising for a brunch spot mid-shift, so I subbed in sourdough toast. The undisputed star of the meal was the side of cheese grits. I am notoriously particular about grits, restaurants almost always serve them under-salted, gluey, or watery, requiring a table-side overhaul of butter, salt, and pepper. These were dialed in straight from the kitchen. The texture, dairy integration, cheese ratio, and baseline seasoning were spot-on without needing a single touch of salt or pepper. Minor timing and stock quirks aside, BriarPatch remains a reliable staple. I left full, satisfied, and reminded why it is always worth keeping in the local Park Ave rotation.
