I have been here three different times over the past couple months, and it progressively got worse. I got the fresh fruit mango tea and it was amazing. It was the perfect blend of fresh fruit, tea, and it tasted really refreshing. The second time I came here, I got the dragonfruit tea. It was alright, but it tasted very watered down and didn't really taste like anything. The third time I came here, I got the fresh fruit mango tea with boba because I remembered it was good. It was nasty. They put way too much mango puree and it was very thick. Thick to the point where I could barely suck it up with a straw. I asked them if they could remake it and the person at the counter gave me a very nasty attitude. They remade it, and put absolutely no boba in it. If they are officially now The Tea, why not do business as The Tea on the app as well? They told me they ran out of tempura which was part of my order. They refused to refund me and instead asked me to pick something else. I asked for sweet potato fries. Nope, they ran out of that as well. How do you run out of fries, the most basic item? I eventually chose some croquettes -- cheaper item by the way; they should refund me the price difference. The redeeming grace is the wait wasn't long. Right out front they have a DJ playing loud music. It's Friday night, I get it but so loud! With this spot recently opened, finally got the chance to check it out. Took me a minute to figure out where it was located as it's in a combined storefront with Pho Ga Vang. The vibe was very busy and less of a tea / coffee shop as it's in a combined open area with a Pho shop. Therefore, you get more of the loud noises from the restaurant side making it less welcoming to sit down have a tea / coffee and a place to hang out or work at. I ordered the Crème Brûlée OG ( Cafe Kem Trứng), it was absolutely amazing! The ice was nicely crushed into small tiny pieces in which it kept the drink super cold throughout and didn't melt as fast. The Crème Brûlée / Kem Trứng topping was perfect--creamy, milky, right amount of sweetness to balance out the intense and strong coffee. I will definitely be back--probably not to work or hangout at but will definitely be a repeated spot for my Cafe Kem Trứng cravings! read more

"the TEA" is a local chain from SoCal (?) so there's been a lot of hype around this opening of this branch. Apparently the lines are out the door during popular hours, but when I stopped by a couple Friday afternoons ago, there was no line. With new boba places I try, I tend to go for the black milk tea with tapioca pearls so I can have some sort of baseline to go off of. They also have a variety of different teas (a whole chart of the most mild to the most strong tea flavors) along with other non-tea based drinks. GOLDEN MELLOW MILK TEA +0.75 for brown sugar tapioca (I think, but sad!) There's only one size and it's very large, lol. I guess you could split the drink into two. After tax, the drink was almost 8.00, RIP. Inflation nowadays! I got this with 30% sugar and thought it was a bit sweeter than I'd prefer (probably additional sweetness from the brown sugar based pearls). Overall, the tea flavor was very fragrant and brewed fresh. However, I thought the milk flavor was weak and the whole drink felt watery. I didn't love the strong brown sugar aftertaste with the more watered down drink, but that might be a personal preference. I'm down to try other tea flavors and toppings here. The milk tea and tapioca itself were very good, but I wouldn't say that the taste distinguishes itself quite as much for me as other places. Still enjoyed it on a warm day. The coffee is very strong but the salt is very light. I still think the TeaDM is better. My other drink is the House Signature Fruit drink. Make way - there's a new boba spot in town! The Tea just opened in Eden Center (where the ViVi's used to be). Overall, the drinks are good and the tea is prominent. There is also a good variety of flavors to choose from. Drinks do seem pricey from the get go at $6-$8 per cup, but that's because they are only one size (a large). Service was quick. The only downside is the look and feel of the store. The ceilings were leaking (not to the fault of the store, but more so Eden Center itself) so they had to place buckets around the store. Additionally, the inside decor is confusing and not very aesthetic forward. There is still remnants of ViVi's and another business, but they do not mesh well with One Tea. I think if they worked on their decor concept a little more, it would be much better. read more

I appreciate how this bubble tea place uses fresh and all-natural ingredients, instead of powders and food coloring. The layout of the place is a tad awk, the menu is hard to see from the line so I took photos so I could peruse while waiting. The person taking my order was pleasant and helpful. I ended up ordering the coco mango signature drink with 30% sugar level and it was perfect! It was a mix of coconut pudding, mango, and mango pieces. Honestly a little overhyped, but still a solid new boba spot. Saw this all over foodie dmv instagram and decided to check it out. Location in the Eden center is excellent, love killing two birds with one stone here food and drink wise :) Service was fast and friendly which was excellent. The drinks themselves were definitely solid, no huge complaints. Good boba texture, milk to tea ratio was great, and loved their variety of unique toppings (will have to come back and try more). Loved that there is an earl gray option, and tea was absolutely fragrant, but I could've liked it a little stronger. Their creme brûlée topping wasn't my favorite of all the boba spots I've been to, but still tasty. Nothing over the top taste wise but again, totally worth a check out. Online there were loads of pictures of this place looking a little "aesthetic" but be warned that is not the case LOL. Loads of indoor seating but not as advertised haha. Came here on their soft opening 4/26 and I am so excited to have this new boba shop in town. As a SoCal native, I've been longing for a solid boba shop that also offers quality fresh fruit tea - the TEA IS IT. We got a couple drinks, the Golden Mellow milk tea, the SeaSalt Cream OG, Fresh Milk Matcha, and Fresh Strawberry Green Tea. All the drinks were perfect at 60% - the teas we got with boba which were cooked to perfection. the coffee is extremely strong so we did have to let the ice melt a bit. We also ordered food, Pork Katsu Curry and Guy-Don. I forgot to take a picture but it was all very delicious. Since the location is still in its soft opening, they are working hard to get everything out timely so please be patient with them. They're all very kind and have great suggestions if you need them. So excited about this new addition to the Eden center! Went there today and tried their OG sea salt coffee (with 60% sugar) and was pleasantly surprised. I'm usually a TeaDM regular for sea salt coffee but I think this one has become my new favorite. The coffee flavor is rich and strong while the sea salt cream is smooth, thick, and deliciously salted. When you walk in to the shop, you can smell the tea aroma and it's very enticing. They also have an extensive menu that I can't wait to try more of. They have options like sesame cream, and their fruit looks so fresh. Their matcha selection is great (they have many types of matcha drinks, not just plain matcha milk teas). And I saw them making their matcha drinks with real matcha tea powder. My boyfriend and I wanted to give this place a try after seeing IG reels and posts. Located in the corner of Eden Center where Vivi's Bubble Tea used to be. The combinations offered are different than other bubble tea places and honestly, it was quite difficult to make a choice. I was craving some caffeine and gave their Fresh Mango Matcha a try. This drink contained freshly whisked ceremonial matcha, fresh mango bites (ripe and not so ripe), and milk. I was unaware that this drink contained milk and wish it was made known. It was still a delicious drink overall, but I was a bit thrown off by the milk. My boyfriend got the Lychee Aiyu and it was also very delicious. We did adjust the sweetness level and the ice level to our liking. The Lychee Aiyu was very refreshing and wasn't artificially sweet either. The overall space has ample seating and the decor is very cute and zen. They also offer vietnamese street snacks which we did not try as we had eaten a big lunch prior. We will definitely be coming back to try out some of their other drinks. read more

The taste was pleasant and I was able to confirm that there is indeed whisked matcha as opposed to a shaken powder that many shops use when I found a piece of whisk in my cup. New boba! The Tea is located where ViVi used to be. I think they are now sharing the space because you can still order ViVi food from the kiosk, but the boba is all The Tea. Lots of variety of flavors and specialty drinks like the mango sago and various matcha. Super fresh, as you can see them put fresh mango or scoop fresh taro! I got the Ujimatcha Oreo (I neverrrrrr get non-traditional flavors like Oreo, but OMG this hit the spot! Just the right amount of Oreo chunks and the matcha was freeeeesssh.
