My wife and I recently went to this restaurant in the evening. The inside has a really cool setup, but the outdoor patio seemed like the place to go. I didn't actually go out to it, because they were hosting a large group, but it seemed like a great place to eat when the weather is nice. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the Bourbon Meat Monster, and I had the Sweet Nancy. We ended up splitting them. The Sweet Nancy had a great crunch to the chicken while the sauce had a great combination of sweet and spicy. The burger was a lot. It was really delicious, but I was definitely stuffed after eating just half of it. My wife had tater tots as her side, and she raved about the crunchy exterior. I ordered the fries which were good, but not amazing. We will definitely come back to try something different. read more

Arrived for an early dinner and there were numerous clean tables open, but were told to wait for tables to be cleaned before we could be seated. I went to the drink restaurant and ordered a watermelon mint tea. It was really good. After waiting about 15 minutes, we were told we could choose our table. We were waited on pretty quickly and ordered a dipper and tacos and water. When we were served, we never got our water and asked again, to the person delivering our food. She was very nice and friendly and got it right away. It was just odd that the original server did not give us the water, as we waited a while for our food, and my husband did not have anything to drink. The best part was the food! Absolutely delicious. I will definitely order the filet mignon tacos again. The dipper sandwich was good too and it came with crispy tots that were super! The restaurant was clean and had lots of fans to keep it cool. We came to this place at an ideal time, but we could tell it was already getting busy. It took a while for our food to come out, but it was tasty nonetheless. The layout is fun and bright. Thai Shrimp Tacos - you get three tacos and the flavor combo was delicious. The tortillas were a bit too greasy for my taste and I think it would've been much better if the shrimp was not breaded. But I really enjoyed the crispness of the shredded red cabbage and the sweet tangy flavor of the peanut sauce. Overall it was an enjoyable dish. Surf and Turf Tots - it comes in a bowl and is a good shareable appetizer for up to four people. The shrimp and steak were perfectly cooked. The steak was super tender and the shrimp was the right level of doneness. The "nacho" cheese is a legit beschamel sauce with just the slightest bit of heat. Next time, I'd order it with the cheese sauce on the side so the crunch of the tots would last longer. I really enjoyed the mix of flavors in the food. Also, special shout out to our server Julie. I liked the clean casual ambiance of third place eatery. The menu seemed standard with mostly American style food options and only a sprinkle of ethnic ingredients. So not sure where the "global eatery" part comes from, maybe from the drink menu? The poke nachos were solid and had good toppings on it. The Dip It Philly cheese steak sandwich wasn't bad at all. I visited The Third Place a few days ago. The atmosphere is awesome! There is a variety of places to sit and it's spread out. Everything was very clean including the bathrooms. We ordered food and beer from Crow and Wolf. Crow and Wolf was fantastic. We had issues with the food, unfortunately. They were out of 1/3 of the menu. We ordered the empenada (was cold inside), various tacos(only come two to a plate and were very tiny. Not an entree amount by any means and were $12-$14), poki nachos(delicious), pulled pork sandwhich with fries(the largest quantity of food and was very good) and a grilled cheese that they had to "make shift" because we wanted a kid friendly item (kids were happy with it and they priced it fairly). I think the timing of the food coming out for a large order was the main issue with items being cold. I wanted to love this place and know the potential is there! As a parent, a small kids menu would be nice. They have all the ingredients to make kid items so a small menu at a fair price for the kids would be very helpful! We will come back but will be giving it a few months so they can hopefully get the food situation figured out. read more

A worker nicely came to ask me if I'd like to substitute for something else on their menu so I got their bah mi chicken sandwich. The service was friendly. Their beer was also good. Decided to give this place a try again, after being disappointed with the food first time around and I'm so glad I did. I ended up ordering the French dip with (beer batter) fries and it was absolutely delicious, the rest of my table all really enjoyed their food as well. The prices are extremely reasonable, the quality of food has drastically gone up. The staff was very friendly and our food came out super fast!! The seconds boba shop does NOT disappoint!! I really wanted to like this place. I want to support the local companies but said to say I will never come back. This place could be good. I expected something like the Packing District in Anaheim or Haven City in Rancho Cucamonga, where there would be a dozen or so choices to choose from but the one food place basically a bunch of options to choose from. First off, I wanted a couple things like seafood items. They were out of those and it was only 6:00 pm. So I was reduced to get asada fries, something called a ahi peni puri, and an oxtail grill cheese. The only good thing that I ordered was the oxtail grill cheese however it really lacked the right amount of meat for the price that I paid. The asada fries was average at best but cost close to $20. Then the sad little peni puri should have been listed as an appetizer not an actual meal. This place has a lot of room for improvement, until then I will not be coming back nor will I recommend it to anyone. It is way too pretentious for its own good. read more

Poke Nachos: good amount of fish on top, could use a little more sauce, would order again Sliders: i think they were good, but was a little dry. GAUC & Chips : i honestly wish it came with more GAUC. There just was so little compared to how many chips we had to dip. I hope the drinks shop inside eventually gets boba too But the soft serve was A1! Definitely a highlight. Ok! Wasn't sure what to expect as we walked in. Nice open space for dining. You order from the counter and there is a wide range of food. Loved that they had the flags next to the dish to signify the country the dish was representing. The garlic Parmesan wings were hangs down the best thing. They were saucy and flavorful. Cute little cafeteria, it's aesthetically pleasing but the area where you order is kind of odd, just seems counter-intuitive and takes up a lot of room in the front area. Workers were great, warm and friendly. Great service. We ordered the Korean gochugang honey wings, side salad and the lomo saltado. The Korean fried wings had a great crunch and was fried perfectly, but the sauce was a bit lacking for me, it just was way too sweet. Too much honey and not enough red pepper taste. The side salad was served with a balsamic dressing, it was refreshing and tasty but I found it kind of pricey for what it was. The lomo saltado was awesome, beef was perfectly tender and the sauce was super savory, a bit salty but still overall a great dish. Oddly, the rice portion served with it was only about a half cup. A salty, savory dish like that needs more than that. Overall, the food was decent, nothing spectacular but not bad. Food was kind of expensive for what you get, but alas, this is the new norm. Will have to try other foods next time we go. The Seconds soft serve was awesome though. I'd definitely go back for that dole whip and oreo matcha cup. Went last Thursday 5/9. It's a funny setup but ok. The guy up front was nice but could only recommend one thing (the sliders). I ended up ordering the ceviche. It wasn't very good at all. I think they forgot salt. It was very limy and spicy. The fish had good texture and I thought the portion of halibut was fair. There just wasn't any relief from the lime and jalapeño flavor of the white sauce. I hated the corn nuts. Would have loved more yams and lettuce. With tax and tip it was about $27 for on entree. Completely unimpressed. I know the price of everything is up but it was just a bummer to pay so much for something that tasted like sadness. Also, no liquor and no wine. Hubby and I went on a whim last night and were thrilled! Before ordering, we had a C&W Beer in the garden area (which has misters). He had Stargazer and I had Lucidity - both yummy! Inside to order...small line which went SUPER fast so study the menu before you get in line (unless it's super long!). I asked if the chimichurri beef-grilled cheese sandwich was spicy. The chef said it wasn't and I ordered that, which came with fries. It was so flavorful and gooey good! Fries were perfectly seasoned and crisp. Hubby ordered the Burger Royale (with fried egg on the top) but asked for and was provided the Chipotle sauce on the side. Same yummy fries and we both loved our choice! The new owners have done an amazing job with their menu and tracing of staff. I had the Thai shrimp tacos and they were delicious. My son had chicken and waffles and was impressed with the tenderness of the chicken and the flavorful addition of the hot honey drizzle. They said they changed their team and I'm so glad they did. The food was well made and the service was high quality. It feels like a new restaurant. Noah and Morgan are amazing. The Third World Eatery Overall a terrible experience. The layout is clunky. Three different lines for your different options. The setup makes you think fast casual, the wait time makes you think fine dining everything else makes you feel truck stop dining. No offense to truck stop diners. Inside had to be at least 90 degrees. Something was going on with the AC but there were no warnings as we were ordering so while waiting we were literally sweating. When it is 114 outside the goal is to escape the heat not find a new alternative. Thirsty and want water, use the water dispenser that is like your sink is stuck on hot. Want your drink cold, go to the boba station and ask for ice. Oh you want a beer, go stand in line outside in Fresno summer for a very unimpressive beer selection. No offense to Crow and Wolf but if I only wanted their beer I would go to their brewery. Now we get to the food. For a very slow afternoon which had a total 7 tables including us all of which had food the wait was unimaginably long for what we ordered. Garlic parm wings, carnitas tacos and the market salad. Huge wing fan but these failed to provide any flavor whatsoever. I had a total of one and a half wing. Who doesn't love a good carnitas taco but when you get two tacos with meat only you begin to question if you read the description right. The meat also was flavorless and dry and crispy. The house made tortilla chips were overdone. I know a salad isn't something you order to be impressed by but when you add chicken to a salad most would expect chicken breast but not here you get a chicken thigh over a literal $10 side salad with a balsamic vinaigrette that was really a balsamic glaze. Two of the three items missed something that was included in the description. The only saving grace from our experience was the strawberry mule but I won't be going back just for a drink. read more

I've tried this restaurant now twice, and I honestly want them to succeed, but there are clearly a lot of things they need to figure out still. Wife and I are industry veterans and there are several glaring and confusing things going on here. 1. Logistics. If I'm a first time guest, how would I know about the set up, the extra seating in the back, and the need to order at three different places depending on what I want? There is no one directing traffic. Also, what if there is a lunch rush? Now your customers waiting in line to order are merging into the tables of customers dining or even worse, outside in the heat and keeping your door open. It suddenly feels cramped and people will leave. Or... a customer does order, gets a number, but when they walk back past the Boba station, realizes there are no tables? Where do I go if I need more aioli for my burger? If I'm not a first-time guest, and I want a beer, I have one option. That option is to wait in the elements to get a beer from a singular brewery. What if I don't like that brewery or don't want to wait in the heat or cold? 2. Food and Service. I'll start with the positive. The fish tacos and wagyu sliders are good. The carnitas tacos are also good, however the chips need to be served with a Salsa and the tacos are a little dry. Meat has a solid flavor, but would be great with a crema. The strawberry salad is not impressive. First, too much frisee from sysco and the bowl it's served in is too small with no presentation. I dont want a salad falling on the table while I'm eating it. Service: This restaurant is new. Why isnt a manager or better yet, an owner, walking around soliciting feedback and checking on the operation? The water station is off putting. If I want ice for my plastic cup from smart and final, I have to walk over to the Boba station and ask, then walk back over to get water? Why am I being served soda cans and there is no self serve coke or Pepsi station? Even worse is when you are out of soda AND the person taking orders has to go back into the kitchen and get something different. Now your whole operation is thrown off. Again, I hope this business figures it out, but what I presume is happening is that there is so much focus on the food that the front of the house operation is being sacrificed. The decision to partner with a brewery up the street was a decision made to avoid a contract with Donaghy or VW, because if it was truly a global eatery, we'd be seeing some Chimays or Imported lagers. read more

Tried again for lunch today, bummer the beer section was closed. Ordered their burger..... it was completely raw and cold inside. I usually give a place 3 tries .... I think 2 times was enough. Wow! Welcome Craft House to TTP! The huge smiles we were greeted with when we walked in the door were the first signs something was different than before. The mostly familiar Craft House menu did not disappoint with flavorful options for everyone. I tried a newer menu item, sliders with goat cheese and a blueberry compote. Holy smokes! I have a new fave. My partner went with an old fave, The Dip. Delicious French dip with super tender meat, on a perfectly soft and crunchy roll. The service from Ashley was wonderful. She's always incredibly attentive, and a lot of fun! I also need to mention, the beers from Crow & Wolf were a wonderful complement to our meal. I've really enjoyed their ciders. You can also order soft serve, teas, and shakes, from Seconds, through a QR code and they'll bring it over to your table. In my humble opinion, The Craft House taking over the kitchen at TTP was a brilliant move. Any problem I had with my food or service before are completely non-existent now. The Third Place was a very welcome addition to the Clovis area when they first opened by providing cuisine options from multiple cultures. There was lomo saltado, chimichurri steak sandwich, banh mi, etc. Thats why it was called a "global eatery." Craft House took over and unfortunately got rid of all the delicious diversity. I have always liked Craft House and their food but I don't always want burgers, fries or chicken sandwiches. Came for the first time today and I was disappointed in the food. I know they have just opened but hopefully they can improve going forward. I ordered the Teppanyaki Chicken bowl, the chicken was way over cooked and the rice was too salty. There also was no carrots or spicy mayo on my bowl. I also ordered the Umami Fries and was disappointed in these as well. The yucca was not cut evenly at all. There were many extra thick pieces and super small pieces, really pieces of all different sizes. The sauce was also extremely skimped. I feel like dipping these in sauce would work way better. I ordered a peach rose milk tea from the tea bar and damn... this is the most expensive milk tea I've ever had. A large for about 8.50 and I didn't get milk alternatives or boba. It was delicious but I just think it's way over priced and can get the same thing somewhere else for 2 dollars less. Other than my complaints, the food was very warm and fresh tasting. The service was great and fast, the employees were very nice and helpful. The interior is beautiful and it definitely looks like somewhere I would love to hang out. We were so excited to visit this place. We tried to get in on Saturday but is was packed and no tables available for our party of 5. My wife and I came back on Sunday and were surprised to see the menu had changed for brunch, but no biggie. We went to order and were told they were behind on tickets so they were not taking any orders for 15 minutes. We spent the time ordering drinks from the coffee bar which tasted good. We finally ordered and I ordered the Steak Crunchwrap with potatoes and my wife ordered the Latin Eggs Benedict. After I paid I was told it would be 40 minutes until we got our order. Still excited we waited. People after us were told an hour! Our order finally came and the person who brought my order said it used to come with potatoes but it doesn't anymore! I looked at the menu and they had changed it lol I was offered no compensation even though I paid for a main dish with a side of potatoes. My wife received her order and unfortunately her eggs Benedict had egg shells in it and although she the menu said it came with Cotija cheese there was none. My Crunchwrap was good but there were too many fails during this visit for my liking. We will go back because the place is nice and the people are friendly but we will wait a few months to let them get their act together. read more

The fish tasted fresh and flavorful. Cafe uses high quality matcha. Friend said their Wagyu sliders and the Crow & Wolf dark horse beer are great. I will have to order that next time. My drink from their cafe (called Seconds, cute name!) was pretty and refreshing. Nice girl at the counter let us know you can swap for oat milk since I am lactose intolerant. Great place to hang out with the family. Took our 13mo old and a dog so we had our hands full! We were nicely greeted by staff and whom seemed to he the manager/owner. We sat in the patio area, no issues at all where it came to noise level from baby or from dog. In fact, baby was waking around the patio area and customers didn't seem to mind so thank you for that! Always a certain level of anxiety when it comes to taking a toddler to any place nowadays. The soju drinks were an interesting touch and the beer was good!
