With an excess of unhealthy options, it's nice to finally have a place to come with fresh and healthy ingredients! When we walked in the owner greeted us welcomed us like family, and gave us a run down to the menu. He even let us try samples of the juice and the açaí (it was so good we ended up buying some). This is my 3rd visit here and although the food is good I I don't see myself returning. The wait times even when calling in a phone order are ridiculous. I called in a phone order at 6:30 pm and the young lady who took my order stated it would be ready in 10-15 min. I arrived 30 min later due to my previous experience with wait times. I got to the counter and the young lady at the front told me to just wait for my name to be called. After about 15 min they asked me my name and stated that the order had been sitting behind the counter ready the whole time. So this whole time I had been waiting and no one thought to communicate to me that my order was ready. It saddens me to write this review because I really love supporting my community and minority owned businesses, but until they can get organized I will not be returning. read more

My wrap was delicious but the wait for my total order was over an hour. It simply shouldn't take a business that long to make a couple salads and a wrap. The staff appeared young but that's no excuse. Young people are supposed to be quicker than us older folks. I could have made 2 salads and the wrap from scratch in less time, but it did taste good so 3 stars. read more

Good food, great portions, and excellent service. My family and I stopped by here and upon entering, we were greeted warmly. We ordered two salads, a baked potato, and spaghetti and meatballs. All of the dishes were delicious and plentifull, especially the speghetti and meatballs! My kids loved it. You can tell this is a family run business and we're all about supporting local businesses so we were ok with the bit of wait for the food. It appears that they haven't been open for too long so hopefully with some time, they will streamline their process. The gentleman even gave us a complimentary dessert item for our boys to share, big plus especially for a new customer! As we were about to leave with our food, one of the workers ran out to get us bc they had forgotten our salad dressing. That would have been huge bummer if we realized that upon returning home! I really wanted to love this place! I love salads and the menu looked so great! The staff was so friendly and helpful. It has so much potential though so I'm willing to try it again. I ordered a make your own salad. There were so little toppings and lettuce but it was drowned in salad dressing. So much so that the mixed greens were wilting. The toppings were so sparse. I also ordered a kids meal, pasta with marinara and a lemonade. The pasta had very little sauce and my son refused to eat it and the lemonade was just water. Very confusing. My son took a sip and said he was just weird tasting water. The order itself took 20 minutes to make as well which I didn't expect. read more

This place was great and the staff is amazing! My husband and I went two days in a row. Not only did we love our build your own salads, but we had their soups (Chili & Tomato Basil), pasta (Pesto Chicken Penne), smoothies (Pina Colada w/ Strawberry & Banana Strawberry) and acai bowls. Honestly, one item was not better than the other, if I could have it all in one sitting, I would. We will most definitely be returning. The Toss Up did not disappoint. My friend has been enjoying and mentioned it. We went here today for the first time. We ordered two salads (Wardoff and Build Your Own), tomato bisque, chicken alfredo and a peach mango smoothie. Everything was very good and fresh. The portions are generous, clean establishment with good vibes (music) and customer service. It is true that the orders do take a while... however, I'd rather be patient and support a small business. I love having a salad place to throw into my mix of restaurants to eat out at! Their ingredients are fresh and tasty, my husband and I really enjoyed our salads! The only thing is if you have substitutions or want additions you should probably not get delivery. We substituted shrimp for chicken on one salad and wanted extra dressing for another and didn't get either. Our receipt had the correct order. While waiting for my food, one of the workers offered a sample of their Acai and it was literally one of the best tasting Acai I have had, and I am pretty picky when it comes to Acai. I went to the Toss Up as a recommendation from my mother. I have been three times in the last 10 days. I did not have a long wait either time. I was there at the most, 10 minutes each time. I tried the build your own salad each time but tried a different smoothie with each visit. The jalepeno ranch is great! Just the right amount of kick to it. The smoothies are not too sweet, but just enough to taste the actual fruit. I really like them. I have tried the peach-mango, banana, and strawberry-banana. You can mix two flavors. Each time I was greeted nicely with a smile, good evening, and thank upon leaving. The place is clean as well. I will mention that the first visit, the person making my salad put dried cranberries instead of candied walnuts. I said she could just remove them and add the walnuts. However, she offered to remake the salad. This did not take long. The prices maybe a tad on the high side, but I like what I have ordered so I will be back later today Please excuse any typos ! read more
