I came here on a Sunday since the Kanan UPS store (which is always great) was closed. The line was long, and Tory was moving incredibly slow. While waiting, I looked at some packing supplies near the register. He suddenly yelled at me to get back in line and not touch anything until it was my turn completely loud and unnecessary, especially in front of my 11-year-old daughter. When we finally got to the counter, he immediately started interrogating me about the contents of the box like as if I was shipping a kilo of powder. I explained my daughter crochets custom animals for military kids with deployed parents and records YouTube videos for the families. Instead of helping, he dismissed it, said UPS would be "too expensive," and told me to go to USPS not even without checking a single price. No weighing, no scanning, no real service. He didn't treat other customers prior to me this way. Whether it was profiling or just bad service, It was a terrible experience. Refused to send a package to Mexico. Not the first time this happened with them. The first time i thought their jargon about corruption in Mexico was reasonable. This time, years later, having sent many packages and letters back to family in Mexico without any problem i have to think that the problem is in the people who run this location. I drove down to the FedEx by the Wizzins Center and got it done easily. I also reviewed UPS International shipping requirements and found that ! WOW! They do ship to Mexico. Ok When my wife and I came in, one of the guys asked how he could help us, so I told him we need to send an envelope to Mexico. He said that he would be happy to help. We went up to the desk and told him where in Mexico we needed to send the package and then he very vocally, as if he was addressing the entire store, started talking about how they don't send packages to Mexico and about corruption and police problems. I'm pretty sure bigotry isn't a UPS policy, its just a policy of this location. Good job. I won't even consider domestic shipping here. I also don't mind bad service, but I do very much mind being brought into the store just to listen to them denigrate an entire nation in a very public, shameful, and false way. read more

This UPS is supreme!!! Everything about it surpassed all expectations. The service was incredible. They are all smiles up in here and so welcoming. There is a parking lot right in front with plenty of spaces. Pulled right up, walked in, and was immediately acknowledged while I waited for my turn. There were only two other customers so everything was quick. The shop itself is very clean, open, and inviting. I can't say it enough- the customer service blew me away. I asked him to please give them space and that I felt uncomfortable he was just hovering standing staring at them. I come in ALL THE TIME. When my 80-year-old neighbor had just lost her husband of 40 years, I knew they were the guys who could help us with the notary paperwork, etc. David's help was invaluable. He made a special spot to spread out her papers so we could sort them into piles to make the necessary packets, notarize, and send. He was so helpful, that tears of gratitude came to our eyes. Have always had good service here, however, when I went yesterday to drop off a package, I immediately noticed the taller, Caucasian employee with his neck gator around his neck, not anywhere on his face. Fortunately, the other guy was helping me. I observed a customer come in and the other employee walk over to take his package. When the customer noticed the lack of face covering, he asked him if he would put on his mask before handing him the package. The employee said, "oh, no problem," and put it on. As soon as the customer left, he pulled down his gator again and proceeded with moving boxes around. I got caught up in my own transaction and so I didn't address the situation, but wanted to come on here to give folks a heads up. I just don't understand how anyone, particularly during this virus surge in LA County, while working for a major company INDOORS, could be so cavalier and inconsiderate. Such a disappointment. UPS Store# 1093 are ROCKSTARS! David and Joe exceeded all my expectations. I won some one-of-a-kind items from the Profiles in History Hollywood auction and reached out to them to have them shipped. Communication and service were wonderful. The follow-up was superb. David packaged up my items up so well that it took quite a while for me to open it up. That was bullet-proof packaging if I ever saw one. Everything was well protected to the max while in transit. The whole experience from end to end was the best I've ever had. Great customer service at this location! I had bought some Pampas Grass bunches for a friend who lives in NorCal and needed to have them shipped out. I originally drove to USPS, and after waiting in line I was told there was nothing they could do for the size of package I was looking for and for me to go somewhere else to ship out. I was a bit embarrassed so I decided to go to UPS on my street. Luckily, they told me that they have 75 different types of boxes and they could easily do it for me. Joe and David are the best! They see you and they just know your box number. They do notary, copy service, and will get your stuff packed just right for shipping. We get emails when our package arrives to it's destination and when we have things to pick up. We have been customers for about 20 years. They are so patient with customers who would drive me nuts. This is literally one of the places you get the personal customer service. If I miss going by for my mail longer than I should, I will get a call if something arrives that looks "important". They aren't just going through the motions, they are ever present, courteous and treat everyone with respect. I walk in and they know me, grab my mail and get me out without waiting. Just great.
