This store has poor customer service. When I come in here, it feels like I'm inconveniencing them from doing their job. Friendlier service can be found elsewhere. There are 3 other UPS stores in town. I recommend going to either of those stores. They have have helpful happy people who are ready to help you. read more

Vera White went beyond the call of duty to help us, when we were supposed to receive a package for a medical procedure. Every time I have come to this location they have always been very kind, courteous and helpful. Example, when I was returning a modem to an internet provider, they urged me to scan a copy of my receipt as proof of shipping in case the return is disputed (even as much as one year later) warning the ISP could attempt to bill me for unreturned equipment. read more

Disappointed with my service today as I have frequented this location more than once and have usually had good service. I get it that things are hitting the busy season, but not looking at the forms we complete to acknowledge the service requested. And then to speak down to you is unacceptable. I appreciate multi tasking, but finish with one customer before you jump to another. Another concern I have is the means of verbally verifying send to and email info out loud, Especially when there are multiple customers in the store. I don't especially like my personal email address spelled out for all to hear. Just food for thought as you don't know about people in society any longer, and I would like to choose who gets my personal info. read more

I had a massive mailing to do and I needed 5400 copies made, and the same number of labels printed. The catch was, I needed them like, tomorrow. I called all around town trying to find anybody who could get the materials together as fast as possible. Thank goodness for this store!!! Maddie answered the phone and saved my project! She not only got all of my materials ready earlier than she promised, but she helped me with the technical part of making the labels that I kept getting stuck on at home. She literally solved all my problems and did it in such a friendly and efficient way! And to top it off, the UPS store beats staples price for copies! They got it done twice as fast and for half the price. Highly recommend this store and ask for Maddie's help if you need anything. read more

I go to this UPS store now vs the one in Home Depot parking lot (near Jamba Juice). People are much nicer, never have had to stand in line, and it is clean. I get better service at this location so don't mind driving a little further as the one by Home Depot is right by my house. It's worth the drive!! read more

There was an issue with my order and she did everything she could to make it right all while maintaining a very nice tone of voice and great customer service demeanor. I arrived 15 minutes prior to closing with a box to send to my brother overseas. Dyson, the calm and engaging associate working was a pleasure to deal with. I was in the area and thought I'd give this lower rated location a shot. It held true to what others have said. Wasn't terrible but they charge 3+$ to print an emailed return slip when the other location charges .25 to print. Pretty lame. The worker was ok but didn't seem like he wanted to be there. I came into the store on 11/13/2020 to notarize Power of Attorney documentation with my dad, who is disabled and struggles even with basic tasks. Alicia, the notary, was kind enough to help us, and walked us through the process with so much patience. The young staff is helpful and attentive and has helped mail many packages with ease. Most recently the manager Vera took the time to help me find a few very old receipts for my business and saved me quite a bit of heartburn. I have been using this store for a couple of years to ship returns for purchases online. Typically, when I go in here, I am helped by one of 2 or 3 different young male employees, who have always been kind, helpful, friendly, and ready to jump up and offer above and beyond service when I walk in. I don't have email on my phone deliberately, so I use a flash drive and download labels and print screens of QC codes to that. If I go in this store, the young men will usually take my flash drive from me, and print it for me, because obviously they know the printer better than I. I can figure it out, but it takes me a few minutes to read the screens and figure out the choices, whereas, they know it already. If they are really busy, this doesn't always happen and it's fine. The guys at this store get 10 out of 5 stars. HOWEVER, I was helped by Alicia today and the last time I was in this store also by her. She insisted I leave a review, so----here you go. Both times she was condescending about what she perceived as my knowledge about technology, and this condescension was tinged with ageism. I recently purchased a LINUX based computer, after Microsoft prevented me from using the software I legally purchased. It was the last straw, so I wanted to go around them. My next to last visit to this store, I could not find my saved files on my flash drive. She made a presumptive comment to the effect of: "Well, old file types don't work on that printer." Ummm---OK? Who said I was using old technology??? Would you make that presumption if I was 22??? When I returned home, I had forgotten to open the files I'd downloaded and convert them from a LINUX based file type to PDF. It was my bad, but actually had everything to do with a very modern, and more technologically advanced software, than the crap the 99% of everyone else puts up with. So, why on earth she would presume my files were some archaic file type is beyond me, unless she was viewing the gray in my hair and making a judgement. It irritated me, but whatever, I let it go. Today, I went in with my flash drive after converting the problematic files from my last visit to pdf and I knew it would work. There was no one in the store when I entered, and she did not offer any help, though she did say 'hi' as I walked in. When the files printed, they were portrait, which the images were originally landscape and therefore, the images were smaller. I showed it to her, asking if it was legible enough, and she made a comment about the QC image I'd printed and said she could have just used it on my phone. When I said I don't use my phone like that, she made another comment about: "Oh, yeah, technology is changing," like she pitied me for being too old to know that or something. It's not that my smartphone is incapable, it's that I don't want Verizon to be able to spy on me 24/7. And also, I have lost a couple of phones and I don't want any financial information on my phone. I use only opensource software on my phone to bypass Verizon. Again, it's not that I am technologically inept or a Luddite, quite the contrary. I seek software that respects my privacy, and it requires a lot of work, and sometimes, software does not work well with corporate hardware. As soon as an open source phone operating system is available I will buy that. In the mean time, I will pull up to this store, and if the helpful employees are there, I will go in. If she is there, I will go to another store. I had to go to this UPS location because i had to get myself fingerprinted. I had to get myself fingerprinted because the prison that holds my loved one won't let me visit without it... Whatever. That's a social issue for a whole 'nother day. This place is close to my job so i walked over after work, paperwork in hand, stoked to put this ridiculous necessity behind me so that i can visit my son. Of course the only person certified for fingerprinting was just leaving. The next time i tried i forgot my id. The time after that, the girl was leaving again. 4 more times over a period of about 7 weeks i went in to try to make this happen. Why does it seem like the more important the errand is I'm trying to accomplish, the more circumstance pops up to block me? Does anyone else have this experience? I'm not the lone ranger am i? The last time i went in, i got all the way up to the point of actually paying for it, but they don't take cash and i had left my card at home. I would have lost it, But there was no-one to blame it on so i did what any good American consumer would do and stuffed my anger and frustration down. The manager somehow sensed my frustration (...she must be an empath) and what she did next was so far above and beyond good customer service there's not even a scale with which to rate it. "Tell you what," she says, "you give me the money and I'll put it on my credit card... If your comfortable with that?" ...Utterly. Flabbergasted. Almost. Cried. i can't speak so much on the rest of my experience at this UPS, nothing exceptional good or bad stood out in my many unsuccessful visits, the other employees were polite and apologetic but not overly so. But the manager... I don't remember her name... Is priceless. She stepped out of her day to assist another human being that needed help right then. She went out of her way to help me NOT have a shitty day. She didn't have to. It wasnt part of her job, but she went beyond her job to be a human being, something easily lost in this culture of corporate logos and invasive local government. If UPS is smart, they will recognise what a resource they have in this woman and do whatever it takes to keep her happy and give her whatever resources she needs to run this store. If they did, i have no doubt that it would be the best UPS store in the area. read more

I been going to this location for about two years now, and the main reason I use their service is because my kids day care is in the same direction. The customer service by there is rapidly declining for a while now. Vera the store manager is getting more and more unpleasant. It is not that she is being purposefully rude, she just seem unhappy, and incapable of the normal greet with a smile. Those two young employees, if I didn't know better, I would assume they are being held there against their will. Unhappy, unkowlegable. Terrible Terrible service! very rude staff. I wanted to just walk out of the store with my packet, but then did not want to be rude to them. Now that I think about it, I should have just walked out instead of being considerate. I had to post something very important & confidential, I filled out a form as they had asked me too. Since it was really important I asked the lady to show me what she typed into the system and OMG she her expression was so.. 'I'm irritated kinds'. Please go to the other UPS stores in Folsom. They are awesome in their service. When I asked the other UPS store, near home depot, on how much the price would be for the same packet, they said they'd charge me $50 less :0 for the same shipping and I know for a fact that their service is so much more better and friendly than this rude grumpy store! read more

I use the UPS Store all the time as I'm a Traveling service technician. I always get great customer service. Well that was until today. This UPS STORE is very far behind the times. I have a UPS STORE Account, asked them to bring it up. They told me I have to fill out a form. All the other UPS Stores I go to, they look up my account, look up my ship to address, which is one I constantly use, and off I go. The employees tell me it's the Owners choice. This is poor customer service by UPS STORE standards. Then I shipped an overnight package at a UPS STORE in a different city. They employees tell me, you didn't send it from here. Really? It's UPS, go to the UPS tracking sight, scan the bar code, and get the update. Again, poor customer service. The owner of this UPS STORE really needs to get with technology, train his employees better, and then learn him/herself what actual customer service is. GREAT customer service at this location by both Dyson and Kenan (sp?) who stayed a few minutes late to work with me to figure out how best to ship my package without costing me an arm and a leg. Avoid this place at ALL costs. They have inconsistent service and are not accommodating when you know your package was delivered here but cannot take time to look for you. I came down after the USPS texted me my package had arrived, the lady blasted me for even trying to pick up my package because she hadn't logged it into the system. Well pardon me, I don't need a UPS Store if I cant pick up a package after it arrives. This has happened on more than one occasion so I had to write a bad review. A HUGE thank you to the staff at this UPS store for going out of their way to help us in a pinch--right before they closed for the day. We needed notary services, and although the store doesn't typically do notarized signatures after 5:30 PM, Elyse, the notary on site, made an extraordinarily helpful exception for us after sensing our urgent need for notary services. She assessed our documents, and saw to it that we got all the notarized signatures we needed. She was extremely thorough yet quick, professional, understanding, and polite. She even went above and beyond by scanning and emailing us copies of our signed documents so we didn't need to scan them on a phone. The young man working at the counter this evening was also very helpful and courteous even though he and Elyse had to stay an extra 15 minutes after closing just to help us! You might not expect a large franchise-type store like UPS to have "mom and pop" style customer service, but this UPS Store sure did, and it was very much appreciated! read more

Needing an important document notarized, I visited my local UPS store. There are two in my town, it seems I chose the wrong location as my experience was unbelievable! Upon arriving, there was one gentleman ahead of me in line. I noticed there was only one employee at the time. As the other employee apparently was on break. After the gentleman was helped the employee told me to go to the desk that she would be right with me. As I'm at the desk waiting for her to come over to notarize my paper another customer comes through the door with two large boxes. While I'm already at the desk waiting for my turn she instead helps this gentleman first?? Being in a hurry, I said I thought I was next. She replied saying she was the only one there and she needed to concentrate to notarize?? Apparently having someone in line makes her not to be able to concentrate?? Now another two customers come in, then another.... I'm thinking really? Am I gonna sit here all day for the store to be quiet so she can "concentrate"?? Thankfully her coworker returned from break, so I was finally able to get my notary done. I gave 2 stars, because at least I got it done. read more
