I went there to ship a box, they will push you to ship through ups even though I request usps which they also serve US postal service. Lady says 20 bucks to ship with UPS and when I ask how about USPS lady quotes me 65 dollars for the same bucks. When was the last time usps charhed 3 times more than ups. Needed to receive and send a fax. I called ahead and was ok with the info i got on the phone. The place is in a shopping mall so there is lots of parking and easy to get to. Upon entering to do my business I did notice all the services they offered. Since I waa a little flustered i just requested my business done. Boy was I wrong in doing so. I realized after everything was done, that there was no place nor was it offered to me how much a fax would cost. When all done, 3 pages plus cover page cost me $ 5.00. Geeezzz so I paid since I had no choice then he just took the money and put it in the drawer. No receipt no cash register tape. One can only assume I'm not the first with unreported sales. I am amazed how far the UPS Store has progress so much can do's shipping, packing, faxing, notary, public computer to access your emails, Copy and printing equipment also forwarding of mail, receiving packages (UPS my choice ) if from out of town. I've used the store many times for my shipping need. I've done most of my business shipping from this store. I preferred this store over the Gilroy location. Usually better service although at times slow. Today I needed to return the laptop to my employer using a prepaid UPS label. My goal was to purchase a box and packing and ship the computer. The woman at the counter attempted to sell me a box for $36. When I objected to the price, she lowered it to $17. No thanks. Not paying that much for a box, unless it's made from carbon fiber and steel. My advice is, try not to gouge the customers that use your services regularly. read more

I would give this store a 0 if it were possible. I have used his store exactly twice and I will never use it again. Their customer service is non-existent. UPS should be absolutely ashamed that this store is operating under their umbrella. I paid for 2 day shipping via UPS for a very small box. I called to see if the package was in store and the clerk was very unhelpful and told me they had packages but had not been scanned and to call back an hour later. Within 5 minutes I received confirmation from UPS that indeed my package was delivered. I went directly to the store to pick it up and again I was told that the package was not In the facility and the message I received was likely an error. I showed them the email from UPS that indeed my package was in their facility. Literally the package which was the size of a shoe box was sitting on the counter by the cash register. Seriously? I was then told that I had to pay $5 to pick it up! Why is that since I have already paid and there was not a disclosure of any additional fee. "We are a franchise and we don't have room for extra packages" is the response I received. Absolutely terrible customer service. I paid the fee and told them I would never use their store again ...ever. It isn't even about the $5. It is the underhanded practice of up charging customers after the fact. I will drive to SJ to pick up my ship to store packages from now on rather than drive the 5 minutes to this local store. Bad experience!! They charged my wife over $300 to send 1 box to Texarkana! No urgent delivery date, not expensive contents, over $50 for the box and bubble wrap, and over $15 just to pack the 1 box, I could have flown with the box to Texarkana cheaper, and when I asked the store manager about it he said that was the best he could do, will never darken the door again! read more

Terrible service and $1/page for B&W printing! They disabled the SD card readers on the copiers (for fear of viruses, so they claim), forcing people to 'rent' their computer for $1.99 if you want to print. Then if you want to print anything using the computer it costs an additional $1 per page. I griped about the cost and that they are scamming people and the guy behind the counter told me that their printing cost was actually a good price??!! Went in for a passport photo, big mistake, walls are filthy, not really white, the owner did not know how to use the camera. I found out that the post office is much cheaper, and they are very aware of the requirements. My photo may not work and I may loose a very expensive trip because they are not doing the correct job. I also asked for one copy, he made two and was utterly confused about the void showing up (birth certificates can not be copied--how you can be in the passport business and not know this is beyond me) I will pray they did not ruin my trip. This is NOT a UPS Store... Its a BOOO-PS store. Infact having a package shipped here has way changed my mind about UPS. I usually had items sent USPS (and for about the same price, sometimes better) but my sender didn't offer this time. I wen't to retreive my package and was told I needed to pay a $5 fee to get it. Such a rip off.. They should already be making enough money using the franchise name of UPS. Then when I balked at the charged the woman told me that she would refuse the package and send it back to the seller at postage due for return shipping!? I paid the $5 in the end but then my receipt said $5 Misc. Purchases. There is no way my company is gonna let me submit a random receipt for "Misc Purchases". If it said something like "Additional Handling" or soemthing similar that would be a little more descriptive. I called this UPS Store when i was about to move to the area and told the man who answered I needed information about renting a post office box. I had to pull information out of him, including the monthly rate. He gave me a rate for 6 months and I was trying to quickly calculate what that was monthly since I had just gotten a monthly rate from Postal Annex and wanted to compare. I had to ask him three times before he finally gave me a number, which was far more than Postal Annex. I told him thank you and he hung up on me without another word. I couldn't believe how rude he was. Even if their rates weren't sky high I wouldn't give them my business. The owner at Postal Annex, on the other hand, was quite friendly and immediately offered me all the information I needed without any hassle. She helped me figure out the complication of getting a post office box from out of town so I could give a forwarding address where needed before my move. And she didn't hang up on me when we finished the conversation. read more

Received damage goods (damage caused by UPS shipping) vendor emailed me shipping label to return item at no cost to me. They would not take my label because it had no bar code. While in the store I called vendor & they agreed to email me another label. Asked clerk if vendor could email to them so we could print new label with barcode. They "REFUSED" to give me there email, only to tell me I could logon to their computer (which they charge for) & print (which they charge for). What a rip-off to make a buck! This place had terrible customer service. I went in to send something very important to two colleges and the lady was super rude to my dad and I. She messed up the address so I had to go back and ask for her to fix it, and she told me I told her wrong! I had the address written on my phone for her to copy, so if you can not even copy a simple address down into a computer and print, you should NOT be working at a mailing company. Absolutely a terrible experience and had me ripping my hair out at the end of it. Do NOT come here unless you have too. I recently shipped a large amount of glassware from this store. I had them pack and ship to be sure it would make it across the country. I brought the pieces wrapped up in my own bubble wrap. The man (boy?) weighed everything with my bubble wrap on it and I paid over $200 for UPS ground which was fine. I asked for them to save my bubble wrap; when I returned he told me they didn't keep it. It's only bubble wrap but his attitude was bad-kept working at cash register, never offered even an apology. He could have cared less. The lady who is there is very good with customers; he should learn from her. Won't bother with this store again. i was in need of a notary pubic,was charged $10 per signature,no problem,when i went back to get two more i missed approx. two weeks later the same lady said it would be $20 per signature asked why the increase she gave me a foul look and said thats just the way it was,since i didnt care for her answer mostly her attitude i took my forms and left and found the Signtech on Vineyard next to La Pooch,super nice guy took care of me,this was last March.Recently i needed to ship a package,and was talking to friend about the package i needed to ship and he told me about the UPS store, i told him about my recent experience there and he said he had just used that store and it was a man running the place.figuring that lady was no longer there i went in and sure enough a man was there to help me,gave him the item i needed sent,he proceeded to put it on the scale and got on his computer and started taking my information for pricing,as he was doing this,from out of the back of the store came the lady who i had dealt with previously,she bent over and whispered something in his ear,his eyes got wide and in a low voice asked her if she was sure she whispered something else he told her OK,he then proceeded to tell me my cost would be $161 i thought that was crazy and asked him how much for shipping and how long before delivery,said it was $101 for shipping(with a one week delivery time) and $60 for packaging.I took my package and went to Signtech where i was charged $31 also with a one week delivery time......i will never step foot in the UPS store @ #305 Vineyard town center....i would not give them any stars but apparently i need to give at least one to post read more
