I visited this spot last Saturday after a beautiful hike @ open door trail. The atmosphere was tranquil and relaxing. We ate indoors but the outside sitting looked tempting. Wife had the Split Pea soup, best she had ever tasted, had a little different twist with Chuck's of potatoes, she said "I'm coming back often for this one!" I had the chicken taquitos, was hesitant since the eatery is not known as a Mexican food spot, and honestly I wasn't really in the mood for a big glob of guacamole and sour cream... not the dish I got. The plate came out looking like a high end restaurant, plated so professionally, the sauce was a mix of avocado and tomatillo, with crème fresh, and a side of flavorful Spanish rice.... Tasty! I've had a few good Monte Cristo before, but the one here was very cheesy and had an epic raspberry sauce. You are able to get this with home potatos or wedges. Both options are great. I do wish the sandwich itself was a bit crispier (just preference, don't fight me). The menu has quite a selection so there's bound to be an option for even the pickiest eater in your group. I was blown away at how great this place was. A friend recommended we meet here for an annual lunch. The ambience is a little quiet, although the outdoor seating is quite nice. The service was phenomenal. Everybody working there was very kind. Pretty good size group, roughly 6 of us. Our drinks always stayed filled, and the waitress was incredibly gracious and frequently checked up on us. We weren't a needy table, but it was nice that they would pop up in case we needed anything. What really, really blew me away was the food, it was so good! The prices were also really reasonable. I ordered a pastrami sandwich on Ryebread, with potato wedges, and a Diet Coke. I think everything came around somewhere near $20. The bread and the pastrami were fresh, and the Ryebread really came through strong and was delicious; cheese was great, and all of the veggies were crisp. Whenever I get potato wedges, I always assume they are going to be soggy. These guys were fat and came out very crisp and crunchy. They also tasted great, and were not over seasoned. I would definitely come back here again without a second thought. It's also worth mentioning that they were pretty busy. There was a whole soccer team outside that took up the entire outdoor seating area. They managed to keep up with that table, and our table reasonably, which I thought was incredibly impressive. The waitress gave us a heads up that that might be slow due to the high volume of people, but service did not seem slow at all. I'm going to come back. It's a nice local joint and I like that. I'm sad that the decor in the "extra" room has changed so drastically from previous posts. The beautiful mural on the east wall is gone and the bright and white paint is changed to dark and modern. The tables are covered with a sheet of paper and no condiments, salt or pepper around. A bit inconvenient when you have to get up and ask for salt or Tabasco. There's No art on the walls. It's kind of dreary. My bacon burrito was good, but I'll try something else next time. My friends food came luke warm. That being said, She asked for crispy bacon and got it. The gravy on her biscuits and gravy was translucent and flavorless. It wasn't a traditional meat gravy. However, the biscuits on her country breakfast were delicious and light and fluffy and baked perfectly! Our wait staff was attentive and always ready for the refills. Come. It's worth a try. Ordered a California Omelet, Lox Benedict, and a Kid's Smiley Pancake. They noticed that we had two kids and pushed for the pancakes to come out first. Way before this other party that had ordered before us. Which is very understanding and kind. Pancake was great. Kids gobbled it up. My California omelet however was a bit disappointing. The mushrooms were completely uncooked and guacamole was browning. The cheddar cheese was unmelted. My coffee could have used a change in brew. Husbands Benedict was okay. Our overall experience was good but the breakfast wasn't great. Amazing customer service and a great selection of menu items to choose from. A very clean restaurant and the kids loved being able to color on the white paper table 'cloth'. Two of us ordered pumpkin pancakes and unfortunately, they were bland and a bit gummy. The waitress was kind enough to remove one from our check. The plain pancakes were also a bit gummy and pancakes are typically a favorite for the kids but they only ate the one that had whipped cream on top. My husband ordered French toast which was listed as "thick cut" but it came as thin pieces of bread and it was a bit eggy. The total check wasn't bad given that there were 4 adults and 6 kids. My partner and I came for breakfast on a Friday morning. There were several tables available. Staff was friendly and very attentive. For our breakfast, I got the Combo Wabo with the pancake (instead of half a French toast) and sausage (instead of bacon). It comes with eggs any way you want (I got them scrambled) and some fried potato cubes. I really enjoyed my breakfast and the potatoes were actually so good! I usually don't eat the potatoes that come with restaurant breakfasts because they're usually just big chunks of potatoes, but these were small and crunchy! My partner ordered the sliced croissant French toast. It was like a French toast sandwich with a ton of jam and cream cheese in the middle. He took a couple bites and decided to not continue eating it because it was overly sweet. Overall, a decent breakfast spot but I'd skip that French toast! read more

Went here this passed Friday (10/11) after lunchtime, first off people where starting at me giving bad vibes, even the waitress gave me a nasty look when I got there, find that offense when customers and people that work there give you that look. I ordered the Brooklyn bridge sandwich they had no cornbeef so they told me. It was okay but was not impressed, then I got sick, I got food poisoning was up all night, was really bad thought I might need to go to urgent care. My husband and I love to go to new breakfast spots all the time (we support local!) and I don't know how we have skipped this place!! Took our order once we were ready. My little one (4 yrs old) ordered the "happy face pancake", my hubby got the "combo Wabo" and I got the "Greek omelette." The potatoes are soooo and I mean soooooooo good!!! Yep that good! We love potatoes and these however they make them are so soft in the middle but light crisp on the outside they are amazing. I could eat those all day long! My omelette was so great! Spinach with tomato & feta on the inside mmmmmmmmmmm!!!! Whatever wheat bread is used I loved as well! My hubby finished his plate and said it was delicious. My little one ate 3/4 of his pancake with whipped cream and maraschino cherries topped on the eyes (so cute!) and he loved it! The hospitality is top notch and I absolutely loved the customer service provided from everyone! So welcoming & friendly, like a tight knit community and family if u will. The inside was clean and the paintings on the wall are gorgeous! The place has a warm feel to it. We WILL be going back for sure. I had a lovely Sunday breakfast with my daughter. The food exceeded my expectations, I ordered pancakes, eggs, sausage, and house potato combo. I was pleasantly surprised at how flavorful everything was, the sausage was plump, and the casing had a nice snap to it. The house potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they were topped with fresh onions and green bell peppers. My pancake was huge and top with generous dollop of real butter. My daughter had the Sicilian omelette, I never knew basil belonged in eggs and will adding this little magic touch to my own homemade version. Overall the dishes were chefs kiss. Will definitely return with the family to try more village eats. Oh and the service was great too, the staff was welcoming and our waitress Leanna was attentive. My wife and I dined at this restaurant for the first time yesterday. We had a late breakfast. My wife ordered the country breakfast which came with eggs sausage two biscuits and gravy. I ordered their special French toast coated with cornflakes with cinnamon and sugar sprinkle on it and also a side order of crispy bacon. The food was good but not great. Two things I noticed were the biscuits were a little hard and the maple syrup serve with my French toast was poor quality as far as the taste. It did not taste like maple syrup. In fact it just tasted like sweet syrup with brown coloring. The service was a little slow. Once the host seated us we ended up having to wait at least 10 minutes before the waitress came to the table, sndthey were not busy. we both ordered coffee and water to drink and ended up having to wait another 10 minutes to get her coffee. Once our breakfast was served the waitress never came back to refill our coffee cups. We ended up having to ask another employee for coffee. We sat inside. The main dining area was clean and spacious. Some art on the walls was hanging but little else made the interior attractive. Will I go back and give them another try? Yes.
