Delicious food, with great service, and awesome portions! The ambiance feels like you're in an old 1900's home. Super warm and cozy. Highly recommend to anyone!

Traditional, rustic restaurant with good breakfast options. I had the corned beef with eggs over easy, which was good. Sadly, the cold toast didn't arrive until I was done with my meal. Outside of that, service was good and friendly. It's a nice option for warm meals.

Delicious breakfast spot in Jackson. It gets pretty busy so get up early! The staff was nice and quick. It's a cozy environment. It definitely reminds me of southern comfort breakfast. I got the Huevos Rancheros and it was delicious. I didn't even have to add hot sauce to it, that's how good it was. My friend got the chicken fried steak and thought it was okay. It's a little dry. We also got the biscuit and gravy and the sausage and gravy was good, but the biscuit wasn't the greatest. This is an overall good spot for breakfast l.

We were on the prowl for some great breakfast, and The Virginian delivered ten fold. If you're a fan of pancakes you absolutely have to order them here. They were so fluffy and had the perfect chew to them. The hashbrowns also hit the spot. Chill vibes and friendly service coupled with fantastic food is always a winner. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely be returning.

Don't expect anything fancy. Simple, delicious American cuisine at a good price. Owned and operated by the same folks for years.

Your home town eatery with basic meals that are tasty. They serve breakfast until 2pm so for late risers it's a great find.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening and dinner…read more Possibly the best ribeye I've had in the past 10 years, but the other "foam and powder"aspects of the dish were just silly. The so called General Tso steak sauce was like a thimbleful smear and completely irrelevant. BBQ Ramen seasoning? Not even enough to get a taste profile of it. The trout with a green curry sauce was good but again, ummmm.... Trout has a subtle flavor. Green curry coconut sauce, and stuffed with another type of Asian something something....might as just as well better to use a neutral tasting fish like a better quality tilapia imho. Let trout taste like trout. Use a different, neutral tasting fish for these kinds of sauces and fillings. Well at least it wasn't covered with a garnish of micro greens lol. Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. And the foam and powder embellishments on the steak were barely noticeable. The whole menu reads like a community college cooking school graduate little bit of this little bit of that. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. Great, festive, lively ambiance . Super friendly staff and service.

Unfortunately, the bar was painfully slow. Our first round of drinks took about 15 minutes, and the second took closer to 30 minutes after ordering. We eventually had to check in to make sure they were even coming. The food was fine, but not something we'd come back for. The elk pasta lacked the depth and richness you expect from a bolognese. The trout--poblano stuffed and curry-prepared--was an interesting idea, but the curry completely overpowered the fish, making the dish feel unbalanced. We had curry-dusted trout at The Blue Lion earlier in the week that was far better. (One of the best trout meals I've ever had.)

This bar is legendary and a staple in Wyoming. The Silver Dollar Bar was country prior to instagram and everyone wearing jeans and boots pretending they lived and worked on a ranch. The decor is nice working ranchers. Boots are working clothes, not a fashion statement. We sat at a window table to enjoy the sun on a blustery, snow showery and passing sun day. Watching tourists here is a kick in the pants as they are glued to catching moments of "living western" on their phones. The three elk smashed sliders with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese were accompanied with PERFECT, CRUNCHY, PIPING HOT RINGS. As an aside, an additional order on rings were added because once in a while you must indulge. The sliders were fine and dense but that is elk. The rings were EPIC! Today was about simple food amongst the locals. We were able to ignore the 8 bachelorettes from back east documenting every drink at the bar.
