The only negative thing about the Waffle is a long wait time for a table (they don't take reservations) - but that's just a testament to how dope they are. They are ALWAYS packed. Service is efficient and friendly. They have a huge menu, and the food is delightful, whether you prefer sweet or savoury. They haven't offered bottomless mimosas for a decade, but they have "double size" mimosas, still in their signature mason jars. I'd usually advise arriving early to snag a table, but they open at the ass crack of dawn - 7am!! For those who need a leisurely morning before heading to brunch, the Waffle is worth the wait. read more

We've been to the waffle multiple times and not only is the food delicious, the service is so great. Twice I've had Trevor as my server. He's so attentive and helpful, making suggestions and helping with the menu. He is also very fun and we enjoyed talking with him about any and everything. I love waffles and this place makes solid ones. Everytime I come here I either leave full or tipsy. Me and my friends had a gathering a few weeks ago and they all have come back on their own after. Some of the things I totally love other than their tres leches waffles, and pancakes are their mimosas and maple whiskey bacon! We shared one order and had to order another one. So addictively delighful! Everyone working here is so nice and helpful in recommending you from their menu. Place can get very loud and crazy when it's busy. As I mentioned earlier in my review their mimosas are great and strong so there's that! The restroom is clean even when it's busy. Parking on site, they validate for 90 minutes; but the parking attendant of the building this place is located at charged us $19 each (4 different cars). There's also street metered parking. read more

We were drawn to The Waffle by their famous 16oz Double Wide Mimosas. We were looking for a affordable, weekday morning mimosa. Surprisingly, they are hard to find. The Waffle has a charming throwback coffee house atmosphere. The Waffle serve's classic Americana breakfast and diner comfort food favorites. They serve breakfast and lunch all day and offer a range of vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian options, catering to a variety of dietary restrictions. They don't have physical menus, you use a QR code to see the menu on your phone and a waiter or waitress comes to take your order. The Waffle not only features a full bar but also specializes in malts, floats, coffees, sodas and of course mimosas! The vibe is a balance between urban and modern, the bathrooms are modern amenities with a nostalgic atmosphere. Although, we didn't get to experience the upstairs seating during our visit, the main floor was clean and comfortable. The main purpose of our visit was the Double Wide Mimosa. At $14 each, the mimosas were served in 16-ounce mason jars, and we had the original OJ flavor. They were delicious and just the right size for our celebration. There are two parking options; a parking structure for $2 for 90 minutes or the possibility of finding metered street parking, if you're lucky. The restaurant has a casual dress code and family-friendly atmosphere. They also offer outdoor seating, which is dog-friendly, a bonus for dog owners. The Waffle is great place for that early day mimosas fix, and It's a diner gem that hits the spot for a nice breakfast / brunch experience. read more

Even though it was very busy when we arrived, we were seated within 10 mins at the bar area. We saw some big amazing plates coming out, so we were anxious to order. Ended up choosing french toast and a basic breakfast with pancakes, eggs and hashbrowns. Food was good, but not spectacular. I will definitely try some other things on the menu in the future. read more

There are many waffle flavors to choose from. I decided to order a turkey BLT and mini waffles. Both were good and so was the coffee latte that I ordered. There is a parking garage for building (entrance on Argyle) . Restaurant will validate for 90 min. Service was attentive. I have ordered from The Waffle many Sundays to enjoy my football and they usually are perfect! This Sunday my delivery from Uber Eats was a disaster. The usually warm breakfast sandwich was ice cold and with the wrong cold cheddar cheese instead of the usually melty Emmental I ordered! The biscuit was like a rock. No fluff. The sawmill gravy ice cold and the hash browns the same. Somehow the greens got warm by some miracle. Really disappointing since they are my go to but I think I will be going back to Mustard Seed for my football morning football brunch delivery needs. read more

We had a great breakfast and experience on Sunday morning. Located in Hollywood, the area can get quite busy, but it's nice to start the day in a busy part of town. Parking can be a bit tricky because they don't have a parking lot so it'll be metered street parking. It's located on the bottom floor of a high-rise office building and has many outdoor and indoor seating options, however we chose to sit inside at the counter due to weather. Our server Ian was very prompt and did a great job as well. They specialize in waffles obviously, but also have many of the classics. They don't have my favorite breakfast dish: Eggs Benedict, but they still have a lot of great options. We both ordered the Waffle Breakfast, which comes with a side waffle. We chose the blueberry compote and the red velvet waffle and both were fantastic. I was not a fan of their hash browns due to the seasoning on them and how thick they were, but all the other items were great. Overall a great breakfast with fair pricing and fast service. As a fan of waffles it was great to see how many options they have to choose from. I will definitely be back in the near future. read more

I absolutely love this place. The food is good the service is good just a great experience all the way around each time I've been. The first time I went I was able to experience the mimosa flight and buffalo chicken hash browns.! The mimosa flight comes with 4 drinks, but there are 5 to choose from. The second time I went, I got the tuna melt on Texas toast with onion rings. It was absolutely fire. They are a cashless establishment, they take pretty much everything . Walked in yesterday super early in the morning 6:40AM to be exact and got a pleasant, warm greeting…read morefrom Nathan. Told me to sit anywhere that I would like. Was meeting up with a friend. Shortly after, she walked in and we both had breakfast together. I have been to this lovely, well kept and maintained establishment at least 7 times in the past. 2nd time reviewing this place. We ordered a Veggie Omelette that came with: spinach, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, & asparagus. For cheese we opted for Swiss cheese free of charge. ($18.99), got a side order of fruit ($5.99), an order of English Muffin(toasted) ($2.99), and a large Orange Juice for ($5.49). Total came out to be $30.70 including tax, minus his tip. Both guys Nathan and Benny were very helpful, attentive and nice. Food was very hot, DELICIOUS and prices were affordable for their portions. Nathan didn't charge me for the OJ, because he forgot to bring me my whipped cream that came with a side of half Waffle, that actually looked more like a full Waffle. We both stayed with water. They have pretty extensive menu options from breakfast, salads, wraps, and sandwiches. All types of beverages. Hot and cold. Business of operation is consistent, which I LOVE!! Gender neutral restroom, a nice patio on both sides of the restaurant, and about 8 to 10 spots of parking spaces behind the restaurant. Restroom was also clean and fully stocked with all the essentials. Nice artwork on the walls. You can also find street or meter parking. They have 2 or 3 other locations. They did a little touch up here and there that was very noticeable. This is a great breakfast/lunch spot to indulge yourself. I wanted to eat more, but one can only eat so much. Ambiance was very nice, chill, clean, and had overhead music playing inside the restaurant.. They have to-go orders, delivery, but no catering. 10/10. Although that didn't happen every day, one afternoon we were in need of some caffeine and stumbled along Fika Fika and I am so happy that we did. One of my two favorite places that we stopped for coffee while on our trip, this place is deceivingly large inside, and all decorated in ceramic earth tones and white. It's actually a very calming feeling, almost like a deep breath in. The only thing that was a little bit annoying was there was no parking and street spaces were the only option. However, that seemed to be a trench of several of the areas we visited, and coming from Philly, I totally understand that obstacle of difficulty and would never hold it against them. Especially once you discover how delicious the coffee is after getting inside. When we were there it was nearly dead, which was a nice respite from the day, as we were all pretty worn out from the morning. So it provided a nice break in a quiet space where we could also get a nice hot or iced drink and stop for a few minutes. Their espresso was delicious, not overly robust and burnt as so many American-palate-focused espressos are apt to be, and felt much more after a European or Italian style of pulled shot. My cappuccino was excellent, and they even poured the shots in macchiato style over top to give that bit of different flavor profile and drinking experience. I was so impressed, I even picked up some bagged, roasted coffee for friends to gift when we arrived home, and some for myself, which I enjoyed thoroughly for a week or two after our trip had come to its conclusion. If you are in LA or passing through and need good coffee, Fika Fika should definitely be on your list of "definitely stop" places. Their mochi paws were okay, but that's not why I was there. I was there for the coffee and that's exactly what they deliver in spades. Delicious. Perfectly outed and crafted. Coffee!

That's worth mentioning all by itself. Could I explain why I'm giving Philippe's five stars? I suppose I could. But when you have friendly people like Elizabeth, a fresh lamb dip made right in front of you, reasonable prices, free parking, and more than a century of Los Angeles history, what more could you ask for?
