Had a really nice evening here with friends. The atmosphere is great and the service is excellent. They have a lot of unique drinks and of the ones we tried they were all great. The relish tray was a great appetizer. I had the duck and my wife had the polenta and mushrooms. The only compliant would be that while the waitress said they could make a lot of the items gluten free, it's pretty limited what they can actually do. Even a gluten free pasta option might be a nice addition. Regardless, we enjoyed the meal and the drinks and had a really great time. Definitely a spot to check out. read more

A true gem - a humble storefront, but when you enter, it's an amazing little quaint place, with FANTASTIC food and a staff that is incredibly friendly and hospitable. My wife and I have been here twice now - once for drinks and once for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised by how cool the ambiance is here! It is a bit tucked away so you might miss it driving through town but the vibe is moody and intimate which we appreciate in a cocktail bar. Their drinks are really great! For food we tried the Amish chicken and the fried perch sandwich, both which were made to perfection. We also got to meet Laura one of the owners who was so kind and hospitable. My husband and I were looking forward to this place. Unfortunately, we left completely underwhelmed. First impressions speak volumes and our first impression was not great. We had reservations for 4 pm and arrived via Uber (5 minutes before opening). We stood outside in the cold while the host looked at us. He opened right on time. Ok, we were early, so we patiently waited. The place was obviously empty but the host didn't even greet us or look at us. We were still excited at this point and tried to engage him in friendly small talk. Nada. So now we are getting a bad vibe. He proceeds to sit us at a small table next to the kitchen. They're hauling carts in and out so I ask for a table that is not I front of the kitchen. I felt that with a reservation that shouldn't be an issue. Apparently, they're booked, according to the host. Mind you, the place is empty. But, he puts us at a different table. Btw, it never got busy while we were there. We got the seasonal Burrata and Shrimp Appetizers and a bottle of wine. No flavor and the shrimp were soggy. We decided to order burgers since we figured that was a safe bet. The burgers were ok if you like them pan fried. We just don't understand the hype. read more

This place was a huge disappointment. Tasty drinks and friendly service are all it has going for it. I ordered appetizers as my meal. The cauliflower was cold and looked AND tasted like the mess that it was. It did NOT look appetizing at all and tasted the same, is what I am saying. The smashed fried potatoes, what should have been a simple and tasty dish, was totally ruined as well. They looked burnt but I still don't know if they were or not. This dish was just crunchy and tasteless. Signs of disappointment in a restaurant? When I know I could have made something WAY better at home. Trying to still attain something good, I then ordered a puff pastry dessert which turned out to be baklava (It wasn't on the menu, just described to me, if they would have just said baklava I probably wouldn't have gotten it). Made an impromptu reservation last night to treat my SO to a nice night after a long week at work. Judging by the reviews, I expected it was going to be a pleasant evening. What I didn't expect is to have my mind absolutely blown! We ordered the ceviche first, along with a couple of drinks. I had a Bourbon old fashioned, and I wanted to hug the bartender. These folks know how to make a damn good cocktail! The ceviche was absolutely delish; a perfect seafood harmony that was really refreshing. Our entrees were a veggie burger and veggie pot pie. They use the Impossible burger, and it was my first time tasting one. I literally transcended into some blissful plane of existence when I took my first bite. I mostly eat plant based (pescatarian), and to have an option like this is in fine dining just makes this place so special to me. It's the best burger I ever had. My SO's pot pie looked amazing, and he also said that the flavors and puff pastry crust were perfectly baked. The food also tastes just... so clean. I had fries with my meal and was able to eat everything without feeling an ounce of remorse. No doubt from the mostly locally-sourced ingredients! As a finisher, we decided to try the cobbler. Again. Another plane of bliss. Just a perfect ending to an unexpectedly perfect dining experience. Our server was also awesome! She made such great recommendations, and answered all of our questions with ease. The pricing as well just had me in awe. I would have easily paid twice the amount for this level of food/service. Seriously, the best restaurant we've been to since we moved to the area, and a place we hope to visit often! read more

Finally went after wanting to try this place since first hearing of its opening awhile ago. Walked in with out a reservation and figured we would have to wait- the hostess was able to squeeze us in pretty quick. We planned on having a drink beforehand but she got us a table with in 10-15 minutes. This place is a very nice addition to the Tri-Cities area! I ordered the scallops and my husband had the Walleye- both were fabulous! We did order a wedge salad to split and felt this was the perfect amount of food. The staff was attentive and friendly. This place reminded me of a downtown Chicago restaurant. We had a great time & even better meal! Give it a try! read more

Heard so many wonderful things about this Restaurant, had to try it! Service was absolutely top-notch, but that is about as far as we got. We ordered the Walleye and the Amish chicken (from the menu) to share. Our server suggested ordering a side with the fish as the portion is not very large. She wasn't kidding! 2 tiny pieces of uncooked Walleye. The side of creamed spinach was good and the Amish chicken was just ok. We also ordered a side salad each, which we felt were overpriced and just ok, nothing outstanding. The server was very kind when we expressed our dissatisfaction with the fish and offered my Husband another meal, which he decided against as the chicken was a nice sized portion and we were able to share. All in all, disappointing experience, when the prices are moderate to high and the food is mediocre. read more

First time here. Went in at about 430pm. Said all they had available was the bar and the high tops. We sat at the bar. The place quickly filled up with the ones who had made reservations. Very impressive I thought. Anyway, the bartender was very pleasant, answered all our first timer questions. Enjoyed our food and drinks. I wanted to like this place. Was soooooo excited for a "supper club" and it completely fell flat. My steak was WAY undercooked. I like it medium and will go a little under, but this was cold and red on the ends! I asked the waitress to have the cook put it back on the grill. 30 seconds later it came back, doused in sauce that wasn't even in the menu description -- still cold in the center. We were with a group of 6 total people and only 2 of the 6 said they'd be back again. Cocktails were just OK, and their selection of spirits is very limited. Nothing we experienced makes this place standout. That's unfortunate. read more

Went here with two other couples for dinner on Saturday. Drinks were good, relish tray appetizer was pickled veggies and a couple of tiny pieces of bread. Disappointing. Dinners were good. When it was posted to be like a Wisconsin Supper Club, I was anxious to try it out. NOT! Maybe it was the fact it has only been open 3 weeks but it has a VERY limited menu and the beer choices left me wanting to leave as soon as I read the list. We decided definitely not to eat dinner there, but we choose to try a couple of their appetizers. The polenta with mushrooms was okay, but there were four of us and only 3 mushrooms in the bowl. We also had the pickled veggie tray which was good but the baguettes/crisps were SO hard almost broke a tooth. The only great thing I can say about it was the service. Our waitress was super attentive and after the first beer didn't measure up to what I wanted ( and the 2nd choice hadn't been delivered that week), the one she recommended was pretty good. We had asked for 2 seperate checks and she was super about splitting the cost of the 2 appetizers so each check was covered by half. As I said, only 3 weeks so I'm not going to completely write them off but I won't be going back soon, I'll give them some time to work out the kinks. read more

Last night we enjoyed an amazing dinner at The Walrus Room in Geneva. It is beautifully decorated. As a girl from WI, I was delighted to see a Relish Tray on the appetizer list. The pickled veggies were definitely tart, but when placed on the garlic spread on the small toast, it was divine! My husband had the very generous fish fry. Perfectly cooked and served on top of kale/cabbage coleslaw. It had a hint of buttered popcorn flavor - maybe there's corn in the batter? Regardless, it was delicious. I had the beet salad. Under the salad was a "schmear" of almond butter, when mixed into the salad, gave it a depth and satisfaction I have not enjoyed with beets before! The homemade raspberry honey butter on the fresh baked bread was a highlight. My husband had the pinot grigio that was ok and my cocktail "child's dream" was ok. Dined for first time on Saturday prime rib night. Service was first rate. Server Kaylee was professional, knowledgeable & thorough, & service timing perfect. Ambiance was a bit noisy (music rather loud for a supposed supper club atmosphere), tables a bit close....but all tolerable for a small restaurant. Chosen appetizers were excellent: Shrimp dejonghe superb, enough for a light main course with 6 good- size shrimp; melons with pork belly unusual but wonderful, also very ample in size. We each ordered one of the prime rib specials offered: My wife the menu one, I the extra special bourbon washed. Both were good-sized at $39 & $49 each respectively, but we're not good cuts, one with way too much fat, the other rather gristly, and we would not order them again. We both had specified medium rare-though equal in size, one was very rare, the other on the borderline towards well done. They tasted great, however. Fries were to die for, and mixed vegetables served to share were excellent and a huge portion. Only 2 desert offerings, peach & blueberry cobbler, which we shared, & a nice sounding chocolate dish. Unfortunately the cobbler, though it looked great & had delishous fruit, suffered from pastry that was extremely salty in taste which took away from the overall flavor & overpowered the ice cream as well as the fruit. This is a new place and deserves at least one more chance, as this may have been an off night, and we are looking forward to returning & upgrading the star count. We were extremely disappointed in Walrus Room last evening. Noise level is horrendous. I had called to make a reservation, was told not needed, but upon arrival, was asked, did we have a reservation. Confusing. We were told we could eat at the bar, or wait there until a table came available, which should be about 20 minutes. We had a drink, ordered soup to start. Both the lobster bisque and French press onion soup were cold, so we sent them back. Warm, they tasted quite good, although why one needs to put broth through a French coffee press is beyond me. Bread plate was excellent, and also the French press coffee ($6) Although several groups of newcomers were taken from the bar to tables, we were never called. I expressed my disappointment to the hostess as we left, and we went elsewhere for our meal and more polished service. Although the place is small, there seems to be no shortage of friendly waitstaff, so perhaps as time goes on, they will become a bit more proficient at service; let's hope so. read more
