I decided to go with a classic choice: a cheeseburger ($4.35) with fries ($3.95) and a coke ($2.50) with a side of house sauce ($0.60). The meal was quickly prepared in what felt like no-time. The fries were crisp and golden, complimenting the flavor-packed burger perfectly. The real star of the meal was the house sauce, which turned the great meal into something exceptional. One thing to note is that they add a 3% surcharge to the meal in order to offset the cost of benefits for employees. They have fries that honestly remind me of McDonald's which in my opinion are the best fries lol so I think they were super crispy and perfect salt. Seating is easy for a low key restaurant, very dog friendly. They offer $2 dog treats. Only negative, in the 30-40 minutes we were there I never saw anyone come out and check the counter. Came here with a couple of friends on a Thursday night. We placed an order online and waited less than 20 minutes for the food to be ready. The online pickup window is on the side facing the parking lot while the order/regular pickup windows are facing the main street. I got a strawberry shake to kill time while waiting for the food, and it was quite tasty! It gives a very authentic ice cream style shake and I'm always a fan of whip cream. I will say that the dried strawberries instead of fresh ones were a slight disappointment and the size of the drink itself is a bit smaller--but not a huge biggie. As for food, I got a cheeseburger with avocado; I wish they had put it in the actual burger instead of in a cup on the side because it didn't feel like it was an add-on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Cheeseburger was delicious but it's a small portion. Not sure if this is a consistent problem, but it wasn't a big deal either way. I have mixed feelings on the ambience . Warning: The manager at this location "MAKES" you get ice in your drinks. This is very odd to me. I normally get no ice for various reasons at fast food places (mold etc.) and that is well within my rights. When I asked him why he just cited "their policy". He has told me this on two separate occasions! The silver lake location has never stated this to me. I know there are hidden reasons that these places want you to get ice, (profit reasons), however when I told the manager to just charge me MORE for my drink he still refused! Why? I had to wait for the excitement to die down, which I still think hasn't done, but I was happy to give it a try. Due to its location near the downtown on 2nd, parking was not ideal. The parking lot is small, but could hold more than a few vehicles. Therefore, I wouldn't expect to find easy parking, but I did find an hourly meter for 1.50, so it wasn't a big deal. In the parking lot, I got a spot the second time I went. There is very little space to actually sit at the location, so you might be better off eating in your car, but that may also be a vibe. Overall, parking is a nightmare and the location could probably accommodate 10 people. I would go in with the attention of sitting in your car to eat or taking it home. The order I placed was simple enough: a drink, a burger, and fries. Additionally, why is everything a la carte? I believe this should be a standard meal, but that is a topic for another day. I've never tasted anything like this lemonade. There was a perfect balance between sweetness and tartness in the lemonade. The tart flavor makes it zingy and refreshing. With every sip, you could taste the fresh lemons. As for the fries, they were golden and crispy on the outside with a light dusting of salt crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, giving them a satisfying crunch. Today I placed my online order for my burgers and went to pick them up. There wasn't a big line to order so I figured I would give it a shot and order a cone. I ordered the mint cookies and cream cone. The wait was about 15 min, which is a lot for an ice cream cone. However, when I did get my cone and tried it, I'd have to say it was worth it. They also have a bathroom in the back of the building. I got the Beauty Burger (impossible burger), fries, a pup patty for my pup, and fountain drink.
