Been here so many times I've truly lost count, there's one by Hollywood that I used to frequent until the Long Beach one became a thing. Located in the Belmont shores area with a decent sized parking lot and some other good local businesses surrounding it. Their dipped ice cream cones and the milkshakes are items you can't skip even if you're on a diet lol have a treat night and enjoy one. The burgers are good their fries aren't bad either. I was given a milkshake with a spoon, I was not given a straw. I had to ask for a straw. So was I given a milkshake or a sundae? I did not take a picture of the sun-shake (a mixture of the word milkshake and sundae) but I did take a picture of the menu. The menu explains that they sell hand-spun milkshake. As I reviewed the pictures for this Yelp, I realized that perhaps by definition all hand-spun milkshakes is eaten with a spoon. Is a hand-spun milkshake the thick cream sheep of the ice cream flock? I dare live to find the answer and deny myself immediate satisfaction by consulting Google. A woman in front of me, dressed like she just came with a fabulous garden party was sitting in front of me. She was wearing huge and distinct shades. She also ordered a milkshake. But I can say with much appreciation and confidence, that I will happily go again to this place, if I am in the area, or if I need a burger fix for a modest price. Solid burger place. My partner and I both got double cheeseburgers and shared a fries. The buns were soft and the burgers were moist and flavorful. The fries were crispy and had a good amount of salt (some may say too salty but I liked them). I have been wanting to try this place ever since it opened, because I am on a quest for the best burgers in Long Beach. It took me so long because reviews from other diners are not that enthusiastic, and now I see why. Comparing their smash burger to In-N-Out is a good starting point, as I see many similarities. Both burgers are made from fresh, quality ingredients, and both are topped off with a sauce that looks suspiciously like Thousand Island salad dressing. That's where the similarities end. Their buns are not grilled to a toasty perfection, and their dressing seems watered down. For some reason, my cheeseburger was stuffed with layers and layers of sliced pickles. I like pickles, but I have never seen so much pickles in a burger. Did I mention that their burger is loaded with pickles? I don't know whether the pickle overdose is intentional or accidental. It could be the product of a glitch in the assembly process, where twice as much pickles were loaded onto the patty. It was my first burger form Win-Dow after all. I also heard great things about their fries. Not surprisingly, they're often compared to In-N-Out fries too. However, the In-N-Out beloved fries beat their fries by a mile, based on taste, texture, and quantity. It turned out that I was right to be hesitant about trying their burger and fries.
