My favorite thing to do is shop for windows. I absolutely love it... said nobody, ever. That being said, it's a task that I recently had to take on, not by choice but by necessity and I'm glad that I found The Window Depot. How'd I find them? Well, no less that three people made the suggestion and all three of these people know their s#it and deal with construction and materials on a very regular basis. That's a recommendation that I know I can trust. They were right, the best prices that I had found to date making them the company that I'll likely be going with to spend my shiny pennies. Like, lots and lots of pennies. Ugh. I'm not landing at 5 stars because service was pretty cold and sterile. No pleasantries, no small talk, very dry, and almost clinical feeling where I expected a "next" to fly out of the employee's mouth after he was done writing my estimate. I was very happy with the service we received at Window Depot. The woman who helped us was very helpful and answered all our questions in a pleasant manner. She was very thorough in explaining our paperwork as well. We ordered 7 windows. The prices were great and we're really happy with the quality of the windows. It's sooo much cheaper to buy the windows yourself and hire someone to put them in! This is the only way we were able to afford to have 7 windows installed. We paid the $99 to have them delivered to our house. I recommend this. It took a little longer to get them than we expected, but we were told that there could be a delay, so all is well. read more

Updating my review, I purchased 13 custom windows for my house because they all needed to be replaced. The ordering process was easy and the time frame to receive the windows was really good. I received the windows in less than a week after ordering them when I was originally told it would take three weeks. The customer service was on point and the employees were knowledgeable. The price was great too, when I had my windows installed they all fit perfectly, which we all know can be stressful. They claim that they have the best prices, that is not true. Purchased baseboard, later found out that it's more expensive than Dixieline for the same stuff. Customer service is OK, but if you want to return anything, even if you didn't pick it up, it's a nightmare, takes so long. Most of the stores if you didn't pick it up, you just call them and they will cancel your order and refund your money. Window Depot you have to drive to the store and stay for a half an hour and listen to them bitching. The amount a paperwork they do for any even small purchase is ridiculous!!! I'm not sure that I'm going to buy anything else from the store again. I would recommend to try big stores first, build relationship with the pro desk before come to the store. read more

Horrible inexperienced staff I spent 20 minutes going over windows and sizes showing them the detailed plan and dimensions and how many I need wow unbelievable how incompetent people are first the didn't inform me that one of the sizes can't be ordered it needs to change 2" in hight so they had to call me several days after I ordered them and I told them I needed 2 of that size but no they only ordered 1 so I had to go back in there and waist my time because they can't take payment over the phone to order the other one then when we got the windows omg they missed another window unbelievable I literally showed them the list and the plan on how many I need. and they made one window and 1" to wide I will never use them again! We picked up 4 doors from here. Great price and we haven't had any problems yet. The front door that we purchased here is amazing and our neighbors can't stop saying how beautiful it is. We plan on coming back to pick up the rest of our door for the inside and possibly some windows. The price is cheaper then Home Depot or Dixie line. read more

Wife had a field day here. Bought a floor to ceiling, mirrored closet door, a window to go over the master bath sinks and a monster sized sliding glass door for the master bedroom. Had to knock off work early to rent a truck to pick it up. Got there just after closing but they were kind enough to load me up and not make me come back the next day. Nice to see that good customer service is not dead. I read a lot of the one star reviews complaining about the customer service here. Looks like they got the message and have turned things around. The worst customer service, the assistant manager Martin Rivera is super rude, basically said that it is your fault for not inspecting items before they leave the store and will not do any kind of refund, and it wasnt even special order. Returns might be damaged but they don't care and will put the damaged items back to the display for others to purchase. They don't care it was returned because of the damage and still put it back to sell it damaged.. they totally dont care about you and just care about selling. I had a Masonite door with internal blinds and one was broken. Home Depot didn't sell just the window with the blinds and I found window depot they had exactly what I needed and the price was very good! And they also sell so much more. I am remodeling so it's perfect for me prices better than HD cabinets, granite, doors, windows. Beware! A big disappointment today when they informed me they would not stand by the warranty they gave me when I purchased. Although there is no exemptions in the warranty, they informed me today that because this was for windows I purchased on a rental property that the warranty does not apply. In the past they have always honored thier warranty when i had a issue. It's disappointing that the window depot is now giving an excuse to not honor the warranty when the warranty has no disclosure that item for a rental property are excluded. If the warranty did not apply, then why did they even issue it to me at the time of purchase. read more

Recently made my first purchase here, and the whole experience, from a phone call to ask if I could even get the size window I wanted, to the install (my son and I installed it) went perfectly. My contact / salesperson was Adriana, she is very competent, she asked all the questions I didn't know to ask, and had the answers. Great customer service skills! This place sells everything from cabinets to windows, skylights and doors, and countertops, as well. Those are only the items I've seen, as I haven't yet had time to go through the whole store. Window depot is a great option for DIYers! We ordered a custom window that cost us around $300 and a French door that was about $530. So far we only installed the French door and it looks great, although we still have a few questions which I'm sure someone at the store can help us answer. We picked up our order from the store and window depot staff was extremely helpful not only with the selection of the right materials but also with loading and ancillary tools needed for installation. Great stock, great price. However extremely rude. I have a serious complaint against a woman who claimed to be a manager. She cut me off when I asked for a product. She got back on the phone and gave me FALSE information stating the window depot did not have a window in stock. She also attacked me for calling her "sweety" saying it was "unprofessional". I'm a woman talking to another woman. I've never been treated this way. I called back and the window we needed was in stock. She almost ruined my project and told another contractor last week the same misinformation. This is totally unacceptable. Really. If she hates her customers and her job she should go into another profession where she is not hurting the business financially. Martin also made me keep my small 3 lb Maltese outside, when there was a giant Rottweiler inside, he was very short, rude and gave us a damaged product and was rude and told us to use window flashing over a very bent flange. Please stay away from Her - the whole experience was terrible , she was rude , patronizing, condescending, for no reason , she is a very unhappy person that should not be working with the public .
