The Yogo is an Asian ice cream shop located in an end suite of a strip of businesses in the Mira Mesa neighborhood. The parking situation was a bit tight as there was a nearby donut shop that drew a lot of customers, not to mention the other neighbors next door to the east. The inside was rather compact as well with three small tables for seating and a similar number of tables outside in front on the sidewalk. I visited during the soft opening period last month. About a half dozen customers were ahead of me in line. The movement was slow because taste samples were being offered, and nearly everyone tried some flavors. Besides ice cream, there was hot tofu pudding and other prepackaged desserts in the refrigerated display case. The ice cream scoop sizes were single, double, triple, and kids. The single was available as split flavors which was what I bought after tasting a few varieties. From the eight different choices, the Honey Avocado and Refreshing Coconut ended up in my cup. A wafer cookie was placed in between the two flavors like a buffer. The frozen products were very smooth and creamy, but they also melted quickly so I had to consume them rapidly. I liked the coconut better because it did taste refreshing as described.

New Vietnamese owned dessert shop in the neighborhood. I came specifically for the pandan tofu and the xoa xoa(trio Jelly). The pandan tofu was ok for me. I would prefer it without the coconut milk next time. The Xoa xoa dessert was very very good! I love the addition of the ginger syrup! Some ice cream flavors available are mango sticky rice, coconut, durian thai tea, chocolate , strawberry, matcha and honey avocado! Very friendly staff! A few indoors seatings available as well as outdoor!

Came across The Yogo's during their soft opening! I love all the asian/Vietnamese inspired ice cream flavors. After sampling some of the flavors, I went with a single split scoop of Mango sticky rice & Thai tea. Both were delicious! Customer service was very attentive and friendly. There is some seating available outside, parking is easy as it's located in a strip mall. Looking forward to trying their other flavors and desserts!

Was super excited to try this place as they specialize in Asian flavors. They did not disappoint! They let you have samples of their flavors and boy, were the flavors spot on! We ended up getting matcha (very matcha forward), coconut (made with coconut milk and real coconut pieces), mango sticky rice (sooo fruity), ube (very fresh tasting- not earthy at all or artificial tasting), and Thai tea (perfect taste). They also have pandan coconut pudding and flan, but we haven't tried them. Owners and staff were very nice! Great location on the corner with some tables outside and seating area inside.

Great ice cream, didn't get to use the bathroom so I can't comment on that, but very clean interior, very mom and pop local brand feel. They answered a lot of questions I had, let me taste multiple ice creams, and they're all very clearly hand made, with the Vietnamese Coffee being very authentic. Only thing is it is a bit pricey, but you're paying for premium quality, artisian even, as cringe as that word is, this place deserves to be called that. Artisian, not cringe.

New ice cream place dropped and it's so cute! There was a lil man helping at the counter and very mom and pop shop vibes. The staff was friendly and were willing to serve us even though we hadn't realized they were about to close up shop. There's a few tables out front and some seating inside but def better for couples and to-go. The ice cream flavors are Asian inspired: Viet coffee, Ube, Thai Tea, mango sticky rice, and durian to name a few. They allowed our group to sample a few flavors and I personally loved the Vietnamese coffee and Ube. Both were rich and flavorful. Durian also had a pleasant vanilla-custard-like taste that my group enjoyed! In addition to ice cream they had flan and 2 types of tofu: Ginger sugar (hot) and pandan (cool) Wonderful little spot we spotted from their soft opening sign, would def recommend checking out since their soft opening gives a 15% discount!!

When I heard there was a new ice cream spot opening in Mira Mesa offering a variety of Asian flavors, I was excited! I needed some ice cream after a long, hot day so I decided to drop by. Immediately, I noticed the cute decor inside. Definitely welcoming for families and children. After finishing waiting in line for the families in front of me, I was thanked for waiting and with a smile, my ice cream was scooped. Awesome service! I chose the Thai Tea and Mango Sticky Rice ice creams for my single split scoop. The Thai Tea was packed full of Thai tea flavor so I knew I immediately had to choose that one. The Mango Sticky Rice emulated the coconut milk in regular mango sticky rice well to my pleasant surprise. Both ice cream scoops were exceptionally enjoyable!

I've been here twice and the ice cream is so good. The durian, ube and matcha are my favorite. I had a taste of my sister in law's Mango Sticky Rice. I really liked it. I'll have to order it next time! The place is small but super cute. And the staff was super friendly and helpful. My family and I will definitely keep this place on our desert rotation!

The owner was nice and offer ice cream flavor. The che and ice cream was good, but nkt better than An Dry Cleaner. However the tofu pudding and flan was delicious and will come back for more of that. My daughter love the ice cream with pretty flowers which was a nice.

Newly opened ice cream, dessert parlor conveniently located in Mira Mesa!! A plus: lots of parking space! They offer Asian inspired handcrafted ice cream. All delicious flavors: ube, matcha, sticky mango, fresh coconut! My personal favorite the sticky mango. They also offer milk tea, flan, and tofu. The cashier staff are friendly and courteous. The parlor has a cute backdrop for picture. If you like Asian inspired flavor ice cream, check out them out!

We stopped by the newly opened The Yogo during their soft opening, and I can already tell this place is going to be popular. It's tucked into the end unit of a small strip mall near Dunkin', and parking wasn't bad at all (though I'm sure that'll depend on the time of day once the word gets out). They were so kind to let us sample a few flavors before deciding. The Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee were both delicious, but the honey avocado and ube won us over. The honey avocado was incredibly creamy with just the right amount of sweetness, and the ube had that rich, nutty flavor without being overpowering. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a new dessert spot in Mira Mesa. I'll be back to work my way through the rest of the menu!

Randomly walked by during the soft opening. Got a sample of the honey avocado and manga sticky rice. The honey avocado tasted like vanilla. We loved the mango sticky rice ice cream so delicious!

The decor and tables definitely gives you an old school Italian neighborhood vibe with Italian markets right next door. Pizza was good, but soggy in the middle. The pasta was good, no complaints there. The sandwich was very lacking in the meat department... It was basically a bread and arugula sandwich. Had very low expectations for the gelato to begin with seeing as the colors were extremely unnatural and the way it was heaped was a clear indication to me that it is not legitimate gelato and unfortunately, I was proven very right. I got the strawberry so that my toddler could have a few few bites and it was so unnatural and weird tasting that she didn't even want any... And if that doesn't say something! My husband got the coffee flavor and he literally took three bites and threw it away as well. I will say, though, on the food front, the prices are reasonable here all things considered, but maybe stick with pasta... based on everything As a whole though, you can likely get a much more legitimate Italian meal somewhere else in the area, but it will probably cost you more.

The chicken parm was AMAZING. Great portion, great price point, and the whole plate had that homemade comfort-food feel. The rigatoni with the red sauce alongside it was simple, hearty, and exactly what I wanted. I sat outside on the patio because the weather was beautiful, and it made for a really nice lunch. My server was pleasant, attentive, and welcoming, and overall the restaurant had that casual neighborhood feel that I love nothing overly complicated or pretentious, just really good food at a really reasonable price. My ONLY tiny disappointment and this is probably more about me than them is that I'm a hot-tea-after-my-meal person. I asked about hot tea and they didn't have any hot beverages available. Yes, I realize it was a warm San Diego afternoon and I'm probably the strange one asking for a steaming cup of tea.
