Think Cafe has a delicious plate for every craving. The friendly service, the upper level cafe decor and the delicious food make this place a great date night or a casual lunch spot. The menu has terrific breakfast plates, light lunch and full meal dinner options that are sure to please all. There's plenty of lot parking and street parking.

This place has quietly become one of my go-to brunch spots. I've been to Think Cafe three times now and every visit has been a win. First time was brunch with coworkers after a weekend work event. Great food, strong mimosas, and an easy vibe that made it perfect for decompressing together. The steak benedict was rich and satisfying, and the salmon benedict on another visit was fresh and perfectly balanced. Second visit really sealed it for me. I stopped by solo with my dog and needed a receipt from almost a month earlier for an expense report. They went out of their way to help me track it down without any attitude or rush. Genuinely kind and accommodating. Third time was brunch with a friend, dog in tow again. Classic California weather, patio seating, sunshine, and mimosas. Exactly the kind of place you want to linger. Consistently good food, great drinks, and service that actually cares. If you like brunch that feels relaxed but still done right, this is it.

I have always enjoyed going to think café, but tonight I had their Chicken Piccata and it was superb. I felt like I was transported back to Italy. Service is always excellent. Very friendly and checking in to make sure everything is going well. I really like their covered outdoor patio. The menu has many options so you can always find what you're in the mood for and they seem to do everything really well.

My friend held her baby shower here and what an amazing experience. It was a cute, private space to the side of the restaurant, parking was free in their lot. Their food was absolutely delicious, I opted for their salmon dish and the service was phenomenal.

First time here. My husband loved his pasta dinner. I wanted the tuna tower. They had to take it back. It wasn't what I wanted. I wanted it to be a tower. There was no tower. It still tasted OK. It was nothing to write home about but they made up for with my husband Dinner.. bread was really good. Will be back to give them another chance.

The food was good and service was ok , the waitress was rushing to take our order but she was still nice , The only thing I didn't like was we found a roach walking inside the establishment and already I wanted to leave but we had already got our food lol we did tell the waiter and he got it and they gave us a free churro waffle which was good . My mom got a Bloody Mary and she said it was pretty watered down but the food was pretty good. Not sure if I would go back again but there is plenty of parking and dining apace.

My husband and I were taking a cruise out of San Pedro and wanted to grab a little snack before boarding the ship. We found this place on yelp, and I'm glad we stopped in. We shared the "Choice of Two $10" and ordered half of a tuna sandwich and a bowl of Clam Chowder. Both items were delicious, and the service was excellent. We want to try breakfast and other items here. We will be back soon!

This is an attractive casual restaurant with a great menu. Barbara was our server, her service was friendly, prompt & on point. The meal begins with French bread with a unique & scrumptious dipping sauce. We had their fresh tuna tower. The presentation was attractive and this starter is delicious and generous. My friend had their crisp Caesar Salad which she enjoyed. I had the French Onion Soup. It was good but not exceptional. The menu is varied & interesting. A true gem in the neighborhood! I ordered the macadamia nut salad, which was generously loaded with tender chicken, warm goat cheese, creamy avocados, and sweet strawberries, all perfectly dressed in a balsamic vinaigrette. Every bite was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the bar seating provided a relaxed, comfortable vibe. Plus, parking was convenient with an available lot. Definitely a spot worth visiting again! Bon appetite!

We don't come to San Pedro much except to stop by the Cruise Port, so when there was an opportunity to have brunch nearby the port while my brother and I were transferring cruise ships on our back2back Royal Caribbean cruises, my wife and her neighbor/friend drove out and joined us to make a party of 4. Think Cafe is close by the port, and is open from 9 am to 9 pm everyday. It's a big menu, with food choices from all parts of the day. Our group found the service to be good, and the food to be edible to good. The Think brand has three restaurants in San Pedro, with the middle child Cafe being opened in 1997. It has fairly broad menu, with it longevity meaning menu items have been probably constantly rotated per customer's demands. There is free angled street parking right in front, with spots available even though the inside of the restaurant was fairly busy. We were seated immediately and given water and menus by the busboy. My choice was something I'll almost always order if I see it on the menu: Loco Moco ($15). Unfortunately, this version wasn't great...starting with the rice which tasted like instant and the very plain brown gravy. However, the eggs were excellently prepared as over easy, giving me the yellow yolk run that I like over the "white" rice. And the hamburger patty was good, not too dense or greasy, with a decent amount of heft to make it clear it was real meat. Nobody else at the table complained or overly praised the meal...it was diner food level and met expectations. [Country Chicken and Eggs for $20, and two croque madames ($15 each)]. I did get a chance to take a bite out of the croque, and I really liked the bread (though my brother wished it had been toasted a lot more)...the amount of filling was OK. All came with potato, and everyone ordered hash browns (crispy on the edges), which seemed to be enjoyed. And like my dish, the egg in each dish seemed to be the highlight. Service was friendly and easy natured, with the busyness causing some little delays, that a friendly prompt fixed. With the broadness of the menu, it's easy to understand why some of the items underwhelmed a bit...I'm sure items will keep changing as times (and customer's tastes) keeps evolving.

I always like to check on consistency of the taste, amount of food portions and customer service among other things. I placed one of my go to orders via Ubereats- 2 Item Combo (1/2 BLT and a cup of clam chowder) and a small caesar salad with extra dressing- all for $15.00 (excluding taxes)- of course I requested in the comments section for some complimentary (served for dine-in) sourdough bread and extra butter. Immediately after placing the order- I called and talked to Ingrid about my order- basically before I could talk- she said- don't worry- I/we have the bread covered. Remember to order clam chowder whenever you dine-in/deliver- it's very good- along with the complimentary table side bread. I know the restaurant ambiance is very good in my dine-in experiences of the past.

The food, drinks, service and ambiance were perfect and I definitely recommend this spot! The only thing they missed on was the outdoor section being closed when we went--but we already know we are definitely going back so hopefully next time we will get to try the out doors area. Our server was super on point and even caught some things I didn't realize and she gave us some pro-tips. The food was absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed our meal. Great place for lunch or dinner. The whole restaurant is comfortable. the staff, surroundings, and the environment. It's a neighborhood place in an area of San Pedro that's very accessible. I've had both salads, sandwiches and sea food there and it's all been delicious. It is the only restaurant that I've ever been to, that has two sizes of wine glasses! You can get a 7 ounce or 12 ounce! I was bowled over with that! If you haven't tried it you're missing a nice, friendly, place with very good food. By the way, the bar is very well stocked! read more

My friend n I are always on the search for new food experiences & this Cafe came into mind. With a cozy vibe & friendly staff like NICK we imaged the food to be just as delicious,well it was !!! My chicken,strawberry & goat cheese salad was absolutely delicious compliment by the French onion soup was mmmm we asked for a dessert & Nick said..try the pound cake with ice cream...wow it was all so good. Breakfast can't come any faster. Happy 4th read more

I just ate one of the tastiest meals I have had in a long time. Think Cafe is not a fancy place yet it is comfortable and the wait staff is super friendly. The dinner meal I ordered was Blackened white fish with penne pasta with broccoli and corn in a cajun cream sauce. Fabulous flavor! Not hot, hot but definitely had a little spice in the sauce. This review is way overdue. I've been here close to a dozen times now for breakfast and the staff are so friendly and attentive. The place is always clean, the inside atmosphere is industrial and unexpectedly relaxing. There is closed off outdoor seating as well if you prefer that, it is within the property, not on the street like some of the local curbside seating that came during COVID. The food is always great, high quality, comes out very quickly, and the coffee is great. Highly recommend for breakfast, have not tried other meals here yet but definitely plan to in the future. read more

Super friendly staff! Seeing Tia and Carly here already gives you a happy vibe. I don't know all of the staffs names yet but I look forward to visiting here more often since I live a couple blocks away. Out of the cheeseburger, bolognese pasta, French toast breakfast and salmon Benedict; I think the French toast breakfast plate was my favorite so far although all is good. I'm hoping to eventually try everything on the menu. read more

I just realized that I have been to think cafe since, I was just a teenager back in 2013 or 2014. Anyway, I am happy to celebrate the early Easter with my extended family today and having strawberry lemonade, fried fish sandwich with tartar sauce and onion rings. The parking space in the back is the best place to park our cars without hesitation. The appetizer of calamari with homemade marinara sauce is delicious and that's one of our favorites before, lunchtime. Lastly, I'll recommend this to anyone. read more

My husband had the Gyro sandwich which came with Avocado. He said it brought a whole new flavor to some good ol' comfort food. My initial order was a Caesar Salad however the croutons were extremely hard and I could not bite through them. With no hesitations whatsoever, they brought me out a Mediterranean salad which was absolutely phenomenal. Lots of Feta, olives cucumbers...perfectly dressed. We found out the owner was there ..: although, we kind of knew ahead of time she was the owner. She buzzed around taking care of customer orders, cashier and engaging with all. Our server was just a beautiful soul, she told us a story of a trip to Disney land and the whale ride. She had us in stitches. We just loved her. The atmosphere was buzzing! Solid local spot in downtown San Pedro. I love their salmon lox and bagel. It is a reasonable price for the amount of salmon for the dish compared to other spots in Long Beach and the South Bay. The owner is really nice, and so are the employees. During this ongoing pandemic, this has been my go-to spot for breakfast and/or lunch, depending when I eat during the work day. When indoor (or even outdoor) dining is allowed again, I hope to be able to experience their food fresh. read more

Just moved to San Pedro 4 weeks ago and was lucky enough to find this gem! I have eaten here 4 times already and everything has been delicious and amazing! The lamb, sand dabs, gyro sandwich and calamari is absolute perfection! The staff is extremely friendly and well familiar with menu items. The overall vibe of fellow diners is warm, inviting and fun! Everytime I go to Think Café, the food is always delicious. The servers are always really friendly, which is nice because I have a toddler and sometimes going to a restaurant can be difficult. My husband and I decided to try takeout one night and it was also delicious! My husband loves the ribeye, Hawaiian style. I love their French onion soup! They also serve you complementary bread. This is probably one of the best breakfast/lunch/dinner spots in town. Everything was delicious. I am a hard person to please when it comes to food, however, they knocked it out the park. Our server Nick was attentive and professional. The busser was awesome as well. I had the poke for an appetizer and scampi for main. Bomb!!! The level of care for the food and service was excellent. They catered well to our needs since I have a sister that is blind and has special needs. My mothers chilaquiles were bomb. It reminded me of hers; I had to try it. Keep up the good work! read more

This is one of my favorite local cafes! I come frequently and I have never had to wait for a table. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have heaters in the patio for when it's cold. I usually come here for breakfast/brunch. Their homestyle potatoes are soo good! read more

Looking for one of our favorite restaurants who had patio dining during COVID. Think Cafe is perfect! They had spaced seating/tables on their patio. We were celebrating my July 1 birthday and the staff made it such a great celebration. My boyfriend had the clam chowder & calamari, while I was chomping down on the house salad. Then we split the Salmon dinner with green beans, asparagus & rice (see photo) ... SOOOO DELICIOUS!! And then, of course, the Tiramisu for my birthday dessert! Absolutely love the Macadamia Nut and Goat Cheese salad with Chicken. It is the ONLY thing I have ever tried and love it so much that it's the only sale I will eat in San Pedro! Usually call our order in so also have never dined but the front staff service has always been very friendly and swift. read more

This was a happy accident that we stumbled on this restaurant on a Saturday evening while strolling around downtown with my teenage kids and 80 year old father. Service was excellent, and the food was so surprisingly good. I had the macadamia crusted goat cheese salad with strawberries; I liked it so much I'm trying to replicate the recipe at home. My dad had the prime rib dip sandwich and said it was excellent... high praise for him! The patio seating was super cute, we'll sit out there next time. Try this place out, there's a lot to choose from on the menu, super service, and they even have their own parking lot! read more

I really like this restaurant. We keep going back because the food is consistently delicious and they make one hell of a great cup of cappuccino!! They are also serving Breakfast ALL DAY/NIGHT NOW. One of my favorites is the Macadamia Nut Goat Cheese Salad with Grilled Chicken sliced Strawberries in a Balsamic vinegar dressing, Yummy!! Quality assurance is going down with each visit. I'm ordering the same dishes , but they're looking different. Portions have been cut back. They are no longer serving a ham steak. Instead they're cutting a ham steak in half and then rounding the corners so they can make it into two separate portions and serve it to two patrons instead of one. The once glorious golden hash browns are no longer of the same exceptional quality:( read more

Excellent and varied menu, excellent food, nice ambiance, easy parking, excellent service, reasonably priced/excellent value. We've been coming here for many years. Today our server was Ingrid who is always friendly and efficient as well. The only rub is that it isn't located closer to where we live. Of course if it was, the prices likely be substantially higher. Worth the 30 minute drive. read more

We arrived a day before a cruise and were looking for a place to grab lunch and came across the Think Cafe. Our family was glad that we came here for lunch. They had a wide variety of food to select from. Since it was Sunday they were also serving Brunch. Many of the Brunch dishes looked good and also came with (it looked like) nice pours of Champagne with refills. Service was really good. If in the area you should stop by for a meal. read more

Great food and ambience and service ! Nice waitress very attentive . Had the lamb Gyro with sweet potato fries . Delicious and served hot . Friendly customers at nearby tables engaged me in conversation as I was eating alone .Down home feel . Enjoyed it very much and also enjoyed the Moscato . I got the ribeye steak today prepared medium. Along with mash potatoes and vegetables. I had no complaints and would definitely return. We sat out on the patio and the vibe was positive. Our waitress was very friendly. Today I ordered the crispy chicken salad with blue cheese dressing. Chicken was good, salad was fresh, but the tomatoes were tiny and the blue cheese dressing tasted like it came from the grocery store instead of being homemade. If you want a good salad dressing try Big Nicks on Gaffey instead. read more

Another great meal. Only reason not a five they ran out of salsa. 3 of us had breakfast, an omelet, breakfast burrito, French toast, late, coffee and cappuccino (best cappuccino around) all very good. Have been searching around for decent delivery, most have disappointed, and this place definitely came through, at least on the first try. I ordered something simple, patty melt with onion rings. The cost was reasonable (and it was somewhat more expensive than much of the menu), it got here fast, I'm perhaps seven to eight or so miles away, and it arrived hot. The onion rings were perfect, delicious. The patty melt was very good, would definitely order again, but they put thousand island on it and in this case perhaps they put too much, thus four stars. That aside, it was more than enough food and made for an excellent lunch. The menu has got a bunch of interesting stuff, nothing that breaks the bank, and I'll definitely be checking it out more. Might even wander down some weekend for a bite of brunch and their Bloody Mary. This is a place to try if you're thinking about it. read more

I ordered a pita sandwich to go and was asked if I wanted fries or salad. I requested salad. When I arrived back to work with my lunch, I opened the box to see my sandwich and a serving of green peas covered with some nasty greasy white sauce. It was awful and the sauce made my sandwich inedible. It was a waste of about $9.00 for something I ended up throwing out. I cannot believe my coworkers think this place is good. I called in the order. The staff was friendly on the phone and helpful in choosing my meal while I sat in 405/110 traffic. I ordered the chicken kebab plate: (1) chicken skewer, rice, grilled tomato/jalapeño, pita, hummus and tzatziki. I was skeptical at the price of $25, but thought this has got to be good with all these great reviews. I was told 15 minutes. I walked in the restaurant after 22 minutes and she asked for another 5 minutes, so I ordered a beer and sat at the bar. There were 2 sorry tables, 6 people dining total. It's a beautiful delicately decorated restaurant, white and gold accents. They have beer and wine only. From the looks of it, they have some nice wines and sparkling wine only by the bottle. I did not fully understand the menu, it seemed like it was confused about the genre of cuisine and lacked an identity in my opinion. It took her a couple minutes to get the beer and the food came out very shortly after. When I removed the contents of the bag at home, I was immediately disappointed. The portions are quite small. Any place I've ever ordered a kebab plate, there's been plenty of food for two meals, because I eat small portions. That was not the case for this restaurant and at such a high cost. And on top of that, the food was lukewarm, and I only drove to my destination less than five minutes away nor did I stay to finish my beer. I called to ask about the pita cause I couldn't find it in the bag. She said it was below the rice, and I asked oh that's an interesting way to serve it...Is there a reason for that and she said it soaks up the grease of the chicken, and it's much more flavorful to dip in the hummus and tzatziki. The hummus and Taziki are in a 1 ounce plastic ramekin. The tzatziki was good, but the hummus had no flavor and with oily. The pita is below the rice making it appear that there is more food than actually exists in the smallest to go container. The pita was in fact saturated with grease, and had that rancid turned grease taste. I also realized the meat is not chicken breast but chicken thigh, and although it was tender, it lacked flavor. The rice, lacked flavor, the tomato and jalapeño were not seasoned or ripe, and the hummus also flavorless and greasy. After spending $45 on a chicken kebab plate with a beer, small portions and such bland flavors, this is not a place I'll return too. They seem to be very well liked and I'm happy for them.

I really hate to throw any shade on an independently own businesses. But, for your first-timers out there or you people thinking about going to the establishment, I think there's probably a couple of things that you should think about before you come to this café. First of all, let me speak about the high points. The staff here are all super nice. They do their job jobs very well, and they're very friendly. In terms of their food, it seems very well prepared, and it's always really tasty. They have a very nice cross-section of Americana, Cali/Mex, and other items that really make the selection of what you decide to eat truly an adventure. Plus, they have a really nice selection of drinks, including all of the expected: soft drinks, coffees, lattes, and all of that kind of stuff. They also have a few fairly unique drinks. All good! In terms of atmosphere, they have two main interior dining spaces. Both are very well presented, and the tables are nicely spaced apart so you never feel too close to the other customers in the restaurant, even when it's crowded. They also have a couple of outdoor tables, if that's your preference. If you want to sit out and enjoy the atmosphere. Again, all good! There's a few things that are a little bit funky about this restaurant, however, which always send me to wondering. The first is, they do not have their Health Department Grade displayed on their front window as is required. Generally, I've always found the only time restaurants don't show their grade is when they've received a lower than A marking. So, I don't know what Health Department Grading this restaurant has as it is not displayed. Simple as that. It makes me wonder. The other thing is, if you go to the restroom, you walk past their kitchen and their food preparations areas. You can't help but see the space. I don't know? It just seems a little bit funky back there. Then, when you go into the restroom, if I can be kind, it really needs a renovation. There's caulking and filler used all along the lower walls. Why? That's only known by the people who run this establishment. But, it's just a little bit funky back there. They have these upper shelves, covered with small draperies. Plus, there's an area where they keep their supplies, that it's just not a nice thing to look at when you're eating in a café. My feeling is this stuff should all be separated from the dining establishment so the customers don't have to look at it when they use the restroom. It's just not a good look. Overall, all this being said, this is an unique café, that offers some interesting dishes. I'm just telling you the facts. Make of it what you will.

Both of our entrees were great, and the big chalice of beer was a nice welcoming treat after a long flight. The style and decor is chill and classic, I really liked the ambiance overall.
