I am a local. Meaning that this place is right around the corner from me, not literally, I still drive to the spot because it is several blocks away, but you know what I mean, the place in spirit is right around the corner. I am there in less than 7. I am kind of in a blueberry kick. So when I went to this place for brunch I ordered the blueberry pancakes. There official title for them are the Wild BlueBerry Pancakes. I wonder why they are called Wild Blueberry Pancakes? Did the restaurant give this dish some flare by adding the word Wild to the title or are the berries truly from the Wild of a green forest where gnomes might leave in emerald shadows? Were they wild once, then packaged, then sent to Vons, for example, and then purchased by the restaurant? Or did the restaurant go and pick blueberries at a forest or did they buy them from a farmer's market where the berries came from forest to market to restaurant? The world might never know. And by the world, I mean my own. And by this I do not mean the Earth. Regardless, the pancakes were fantastic. They were yum yum central--- warm, fluffy and the warm bluberry sauce was sublime. I added a side of tots to the meal and they hit the spot too. I felt like I was back at an elementary school enjoying lunch without the weight of my adulthood problems, which believe are varied, heavy and kind of never leave me behind. So this place has its food down: it is solid, a joy to eat, and they have breakfast pastas. I never seen another place sell breakfast pastas. Or maybe I have. I guess this place distinguishes itself from the common by selling breakfast pastas. Seems kind of weird too me, but who am I too judge? I too, am kind of weird. Still breakfast pastas seems like an odd concept, like breakfast cereals--- like a Turkey Dinner flavored Cheerio. If this idea ends up in Shark Tank..... I would be happy. The two areas of growth are the following: the chairs and other furniture and the staff cleaning through out the meal. This place aims to be a bistro. It has the food, the wine, and all the other necessities to be such. But the tables are, to my recollection, patio furniture, and if not a notch or two above. Like this place can stand on its luxurious laurels if it expects for its guest to sit in plastic or chrome. Maybe that is the way this place keeps its casual prices by not spending more than they need to on furniture. But this couches their potential, it will keep Think Cafe from being more than they can be. When I was enjoying my meal, a staff member started to clean the tables around us. It used this spray. The smell of the spray was strong. It detracted from the experience. It was actually awful. I enjoy odors with my meals but they are usually coming from good cooked food not from effective cleaners. This was the one critical error of this place. But still, I gave this place 5 stars cause I hope they control for this error in the future. Either do not use this spray until after hours, or do not clean so fervently while others are enjoying their meal. Still, I think this place is a local haunt that is worth a try, especially if you are not a fussy eater like me and do not care or notice the intricacies that make a place a joy. read more

Very disappointed!! Went for breakfast and ordered the huevos rancheros. I've had them many times. Today was horrible. Eggs placed on three uncooked or heated corn tortillas. Making the tortillas dry. Dish was baked!! Never had that before. It was a cheesy gooey mess. I sat at the front table near the entrance. COB WEBS on the wall. Many cob webs. The window sills next to me were filthy. And the ornament on the table with the lil plant...filthy. Looks like it's time to toss that out. My past experiences have been wonderful. But it looks like this place is going downhill. Needs a good cleaning. Especially the windows. read more

My colleague recommended this place for the Salads. Stopped by quickly for a to go lunch. The restaurant itself is small and tucked away on a side building. It's cute and the outside patio would be nice on a warmer day in spring/ summer. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the chicken Mediterranean salad and my colleague ordered the BBQ chicken salad. I thought it was a good portion and the salad tasted fresh. I would come back again, for a salad! They move fast to get you fed although they do lag at getting you the check and out the door-- that could be because they want you to relax and eat in peace. They start with complimentary bread that's pretty good. My son is a fan. They have a tasty New England clam chowder. Their pasta bolognese is yummy as is most of their other pasta dishes. Sometimes they do not give too much pasta just a lot of sauce. Still has great flavor. Their shrimp scampi pasta lacked a bit of flavor. It was good but needed a kick. Quesadilla appetizer also needed a kick. It was very plain. They have really good kid's meals like a huge burger. Overall I always leave this restaurant happy. The decorations are very cute with little light bulbs for a water pitcher and the think idea isn't too overdone. Simple and nice cafe. My sister and I split 2 sandwiches, the salmon sandwich and the steak (medium) sandwich with a side of tater tots. The salmon sandwich was okay like a 6/10. I think it needed more salt or flavor. The steak sandwich was a hit 8/10. We got the onions grilled on it and it was a really nice bite. The bread for both sandwiches had a nice bite to it as well. Southern Fried Chicken Pasta was recommended by two separate servers. The food was served within minutes of my order, along with the bread board & incredible dipping sauce! Tasty soul food kinda meal. Friendly and attentive servers. I sat at the bar and could see into the kitchen, the chef & staff were enjoying their jobs...so that carried over into the cuisine and service. My first time dining at Think Cafe & chose it on the recommendation of a local. Definitely would visit again, other patrons at the bar appeared to be regulars...so that too was a good omen! Discovered this not so new restaurant that's been here for a while. I was just in the area, looking for a breakfast/ brunch spot nearby, and saw this place on Yelp. It doesn't look much like a restaurant on the outside, but once I stepped in, it looked nice. I dined outdoors, where it's even nicer. There's a large screen covering the entire patio for shade. The gal who greeted, sat, took my order, and my check, was friendly and highly efficient - obviously. She was doing the same for the handful of other patrons, as well. I had the eggs Benedict and a coffee, which was endlessly refilled. This is my new breakfast spot, and there is plenty of free, street parking. read more

Think Cafe is one of those surprise locations. You go inside this restaurant and it's very well designed and laid out. They have a very nice interior space, bar, as well as a very spacious outdoor covered patio. It's really an enjoyable place to eat your meal. As for their food, they have a large menu with a lot of very good items on it. Their cuisine really spans the gamut but I would say it's primarily focused on Americana. The food is all very good and comes with a very nice presentation and portioning. They also have a very good wine and alcohol menu. The staff here is always very nice and very much on top of their job. Even when it's crowded, they take care of their customers very well. Overall, if you're in the San Pedro area, this is a great place to eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. read more

I grew up going to Think Bistro all the time when it was at this location, so I decided to stop in for breakfast/brunch yesterday. The restaurant itself looks newly renovated, and the staff was very attentive, seating us quickly and frequently checking on us. I decided to order one of their four breakfast pastas which seemed like an interesting concept, and my friend got the breakfast burrito. I liked the pasta, but I wouldn't say it's anything special. A stronger olive oil or sauce might've been good. My friend liked her breakfast burrito, but she said it was very egg heavy and she would've liked some potato added in there too. However, the other menu items looked delicious! I'll definitely be back to try out some other options. I'm a long time fan of all the Think restaurants :) read more

This is a large cafe in a professional building with mostly older clientele when I was there. The service was efficient and were friendly with regulars. I ordered a salad with fish and a smoothie to be healthy. The berry smoothie was good, but the salad was oily with cheap ingredients. The fish was grilled and tasty, but the two filets were very small. The menu is large, but many of the items are not very healthy. Not what I hoped. read more

We've lived in Pedro 23+ years and can't believe we hadn't found them until recently. We enjoyed the few times we have come so much that we decided to have our son's graduation party in their banquet/party room. And again, they did not disappoint. I can't believe postmates had this at 4.7 stars! Absurd. Poor quality. Ingredients that should be ripe and flavorful are all just gross and bland. Shrimp Scampi Pasta, the shrimp WAY over cooked and the portions are small for the price. I won't be coming back. Just all of it poorly done with no love. Don't waste your time here. It was a brisk Thursday night and we stepped out for a bite to eat at Think Cafe. Not the first time we'd been here and oddly enough I realized I hadn't yet written a review. So here it goes. Like several of our previous visits, we sat at the counter and enjoyed a nice bottle of something red. Always a very tasty selection. We perused the menu for a bit between sips and made out selections. This night we went with the Potato Crusted White Fish accompanied by a flavorful vegetable medley. The fish was very fresh and flavorful and the veggies were prepared to perfection. We also had Sonny's Burger of the Night. Well more like I was able to make a special selection and that's what we called it. My picks were cheddar, bacon and jalapeño. I know my selections were not very creative but I will say this was one of the best burgers I have had this far. Nick and Tia were the folks who helped us during our dining experience. Great personalities! They were very hospitable and fun. Cool peeps in our book. The restaurant has a really welcoming ambiance with a nice and relaxing vibe. What a great place to sit back and relax! They have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking both up front and in the back of the building! The food was delicious and the mimosas were perfect! They offer a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. I went with the special: chicken chile verde omelet with scalloped potatoes and a pancake instead of toast. My friend got the breakfast burrito with hashbrowns. Everything was delicious and I would definitely come back again! They had orange or pineapple juice for the mimosas and they do have half-off wines on Thursdays. The restaurant is really cute and there was ample street parking. We went on Saturday morning around 9. There were two servers and it took awhile for someone to come to our table. When our server, Barbara, came, she was very nice. The food was really not delicious. My vegetarian omelette was dry and the hash browns were mealy and not crunchy. My friend didn't like her crab cakes at all. She had three bites and left them. Her omelette had a sauce that she was convinced was bottled and did not like at all. She took the leftovers to her daughter, who didn't like it either. They have orange marmalade, which I love. There was a large party and the restaurant filled up quickly. The service was slow, but I only saw two servers, so I completely understand. I would probably come back to give them another chance, but after looking at all the pictures on Yelp, nothing really looks very good. I just ate one of the tastiest meals I have had in a long time. Think Cafe is not a fancy place yet it is comfortable and the wait staff is super friendly. Great place for lunch or dinner. The whole restaurant is comfortable. the staff, surroundings, and the environment. It's a neighborhood place in an area of San Pedro that's very accessible. I've had both salads, sandwiches and sea food there and it's all been delicious. It is the only restaurant that I've ever been to, that has two sizes of wine glasses! You can get a 7 ounce or 12 ounce! I was bowled over with that! If you haven't tried it you're missing a nice, friendly, place with very good food. My husband had the Gyro sandwich which came with Avocado. He said it brought a whole new flavor to some good ol' comfort food. My initial order was a Caesar Salad however the croutons were extremely hard and I could not bite through them. With no hesitations whatsoever, they brought me out a Mediterranean salad which was absolutely phenomenal. Lots of Feta, olives cucumbers...perfectly dressed. We found out the owner was there ..: although, we kind of knew ahead of time she was the owner. She buzzed around taking care of customer orders, cashier and engaging with all.
