Came here last night for the All Star Comedy show at 9:45pm, and overall it was a great night out…read more-- with one frustrating hiccup at the door. I found the show through an ad promoting a 2-for-1 ticket deal: two tickets for the price of one ($15), with a two-drink minimum per person. The 2-for-1 was in the ad and even printed on the ticket itself. But when we went to scan in, the older gentleman checking tickets told us that wasn't how it worked. When we pointed out that it was exactly what had been advertised and says on the ticket, he said he'd "do us a favor" and let us in this time, but told us to "take care of our server." The venue wasn't full -- we were seated in the first section, and the upstairs wasn't being used at all -- so it's hard not to wonder if this was less about ticket policy and more about steering people toward bigger tips for the servers. Either way, it was a rough way to start our first visit to the Laugh Factory. Fortunately, everything after that was great. The hosts and comedians were hilarious, the servers were attentive, the drinks were good, and the venue itself was comfortable. I'd absolutely come back -- I'd just call ahead first to confirm ticket details so I don't have to deal with that unwelcoming entry experience again.

Every Sunday, they have different comedians and it's called "Chocolate Sundays". Mostly a lot of African American comedians are performing for Chocolate Sundays. They really make me laugh. It's 2 items minimum for drinks. I had the Blackberry Whiskey sour ($18), and bottled water. My friend also had the same cocktail and bottled water. Service by Sarah was great in every way! I can't comment on the food, because we had already eaten. I have had their food in the past, and it's just OK. Bar food. What do you expect? She invited me for her birthday and normally the tickets are $20 for each person. Parking is valet, $17.00. We parked outside. I HATE valet, and don't trust them from previous experiences at different places. Place is very clean, bathrooms needed attention. If you ever get the chance and the opportunity, give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. They had 2 shows. We went to the one for 9pm, since the 7pm one was already sold out. We wanted to go to the 7pm one. Oh well, it was still a fine, great outing with a friend who I hadn't seen in a long time. She doesn't like taking pictures, so we didn't take photos. Thank you Laugh Factory for your great hospitality and humorous comedians. They always deliver!

Nude Comedy LA is a local small theater group that not only offers amazing entertainment, but practices all-inclusiveness, and body positivity as well. In addition to comedy nights, they also offer karaoke, open mic, various events via sponsors, and refreshments including wine!! Refreshments are cash preferred Niambi the goddess mc/hostess with the mostest and expecting mother-to-be is amazing! Great opener and all-around entertainer. Didn't get a chance to chat with her after the show but she's good vibes times ten. The parking in the area is very much street with both residential and metered spots down and around Tujunga Ave between Moorpark and Woodbridge. They do have restrooms inside though theme nights and shows don't typically run too long. Allen Levin, the owner, is a saint fielding calls for questions and managing sales and lineups. Definitely had a great and positive experience with NCLA and would attend again.

Although we were all technically legal adults, I still think there is something very sleazy about an authority figure in his 40s swaying 18 and 19 year old aspiring actors to perform nude with him. Of course, he tailored his messaging toward empowerment-- all bodies are great bodies, and all bodies are welcome. The reality, however, was that most of these students were recent L.A. arrivals with little working knowledge of the entertainment industry. It's hard not to recognize the power imbalances at play and potential vulnerabilities being exploited. Having said that, I will not disparage the talent that came out of these shows, and I will commend the owner's rules regarding privacy (no cameras allowed) and hygiene (towel is required).

I was expecting to laugh a little harder, but that's on me. Next time I'll check who's performing! Overall, I had a great time and would definitely go back. Real mad at the comedy store…read more First, we bought tickets to see Tiffany Haddish. She is an idol of mine. Her sense of humor is off the chain. But last night she was not on her game. She wasn't prepared. She wasn't funny. And she kept asking the audience if they had questions. Now I realize this is not the comedy store's fault. After all, she is a superstar. But what is their fault is that I called ahead and asked if Sunset Boulevard was open after a Watermain break. And they assure me that it was. Well, it wasn't. Which made me 45 minutes late for the show. So the Stage seats that I bought we're not available. And I was relegated to seats near the wall, where the talent was never facing me so you couldn't hear what they were saying. Their voices were muffled and you could only hear half the jokes. And that is the fault of the comedy store. They should have a better sound system that's not muffled so everybody in the audience can hear even if you're near the wall. It's so annoying to be within blocks of your target venue and still be 45 minutes late because of construction. Which they should be well aware of. So my evening was not at all pleasant. I was late for the show. The show sucked. We left halfway through.

Ended up ordering a drink and a dessert each to meet the 2 item minimum. We got the cheesecake the and dessert nachos and both were excellent. As for drinks, I ended up getting a spicy margarita mocktail and my partner got a regular margarita. Our drinks took forever to arrive, and when it did, I realized that my mocktail had alcohol in it. Since the drink was kinda sweet, you dont really taste the alcohol at first, but I started getting the Asian flush so there was definitely alcohol in it. Not a big deal for me since I dont mind the alcohol, but I'd imagine this could be serious for people who are avoiding alcohol (Allergies, pregnancy etc). Other than that, the venue is great. Intimate vibes, great setting, clean establishment, good AC :P Will return again!

It is wonderful to see that it's still around, thriving, and headlining some of the absolute best comedians in the business. My niece, nephew, mom and I came to see the headliner, John "Polar Bear" Gonzales. I like him for his Mexican-American stick, where he compares the white and Mexican side of his family. The venue itself is pretty solid, super clean, and spacious, while the main room maintains a nice, tight, and intimate vibe. The setup is excellent--you can get a decent view from almost anywhere in the room, and both the sound quality and lighting are great. Just keep in mind that the seating is a bit compact, and it gets pretty cold in there once the AC kicks on, so you might want to bring a jacket. There is a standard two-drink minimum, and the prices are reasonable. The also offer specials. The drink service inside the showroom is fast and comes without any attitude. Pro tip: Don't buy a drink at the external bar beforehand if you only plan to hit your two-drink minimum for the event. All in all, we spent about $180 (including tip) for six drinks, garlic parmesan fries, mac and cheese, and mozzarella sticks. The alcoholic drinks were loaded and well-crafted, though the mocktails could have used a bit more flavor punch. As for the food, everything was tasty and hit a solid, dependable Chili's quality level. The staff was super friendly, and I really appreciated that the servers checked in often while being incredibly mindful not to block anyone's view of the comedy show while taking orders. For parking, you can choose between metered street parking or a paid lot across the street for $15. If you arrive early enough, there is street parking available--we lucked out and found a spot just a couple of spaces down from the venue. It's a fantastic, nostalgic night out that still delivers.
