Food is delicious. Service is always good. But those martinis, those martinis are excellent.

Waited over 75 mins for an available table (no appt) after being told it would be 35 minutes. This was not the worst of the matter. We expected to wait, as we did not have a reservation. However the response from the staff when i asked how many people were in front of me after waiting twice as long as told was ludicrous. I asked how many people were in front of me. I was told 3, which was impossible as all of the people in the waiting area had walked in after us and the front desk didn't take down phone numbers or give buzzers to alert when it was our turn. The manager then came to explain to me how reservations work. That's when i got a little perturbed. She then told me that it would be another 30 minutes wait. I called bs. I saw at least 2 couples who came in after us (overheard that it wasn't a problem that they didn't have reservations) who were seated but they were of a lighterpigment than us and the others waiting. Not calling anything, just stating facts. Seems like an ok place if you have a reservation or look of European descent. read more

I have been here a few times. This most recent time was a disappointment. I ordered the Pho Shrimp. It was horrible. I wanted to ask for a refund but didn't. I saw people posting how good it was and figured I would try it. I travel all over the city for Pho dishes. I am a Pho lover but this experience made me think twice about trying it at new places. The broth was dark brown and not clear. I should have known then not to try to eat it. It also had way too much ginger flavor. Next time I will stick to the rice dishes. If you are looking for delicious food, good service, and a well made martini on the South Side, you will want to try Thithi's. The restaurant is small and has an unassuming exterior and simply interior. But don't let the fact that it is next to a plumbing supply company confuse you; this place has amazing food. I was there on a Wednesday night and had a ginger cucumber martini. It was flavorful and still tasted like a true martini and not just a sugary drink. We ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls as an appetizer, which were fresh and flavorful and came with a delicious dipping sauce. I ordered the Almond Beef, which again had a delicious sauce with just the right amount of ginger. My fiance orders Thai red curry chicken everywhere we go. He ordered the same at Thithi's. The look on his face after the first bite said it all -- he says it's the best curry chicken he's ever had. As others have mentioned, the price point is a bit higher than we are accustomed to in this part of the city. (Martinis were about $10 and my almond beef was $22. But there were plenty of noodle and chicken options on the menu that were closer to the $15 mark.) That said, the food quality is higher than we are accustomed to, as well. So think of it as going to a North Side restaurant without the hassle of traffic and the expense of parking and it's a bargain! This is a great occasion place or a good option for a fun night out. The place was doing a great business on a rainy Wednesday night, so I can see how you might have to wait for a table on the weekends. But believe me, this place is worth the wait. read more

My daughter and son in-law took my wife and I here last night. I was very impressed with the decor, the food& drinks. The food was outstanding. Not a large place but a jewel for this southwest suburb. I will definitely be back. Oh, The staff was must excellent too. read more

My first visit. Place looks great, attractively decorated. Nice and clean, very pleasant place. I ordered the veitnamese spring roll, very nice, tasted great. The peanut dipping sauce was very very good. Spring rolls very good too. The Pho is good, I had the lunch special, nice portion. Not overwhelming size like some places, but filing. They also have chicken Pho, I think they use the same broth, I do like it better with a strong beef broth. Fresh ingredients used, very tasty. I will be back. read more

Great martinis + expensive food. Martinis are excellent. Kudos to the bartender. They make them real and do not sugar them up. Flavor balance is excellent. Price is $10 for most martinis. This is comparable to Peninsula Hotel where they charge $15 for similar concoction. Food is above average but below what you would consider very good. The duck soup ($15) is served is a smaller than usual quantity. The taste is that of what I found in the cheapest Chinese restaurant when I was visiting China. The most expensive dish ($35) Thithi's bouillabaisse is a complete scam in term of ingredients. It is advertised as 'ultimate seafood' and were hoping to see tons of seafood for the price we paid since ingredients are: sea bass, shrimp, calamari and mussels. Found in my dish: 3 shrimp, about 1 square inch of what I think is seabass, 5 mussels and no calamari. The size of the serving is SMALL. Plus everything is overcooked ie meat is falling apart. For $35 in any latin mariscos restaurant I can get whole fish and bunch of other seafood. Dessert selection is pretty bad for a French inspired restaurant. No finesse at all. Just basic stuff and it did not sound appealing at all. It was nice to try this place once. We satisfied our hunger. Will not be coming back here. read more

So in anticipation of a busy mother's day and reading these great reviews, I called to make reservations the day prior. I was told that they only took reservations after 7pm. We arrived at 615pm and waitress asks, "Do you have reservations?". Alright, come on now, what am I supposed to do? After explaining to her my futile attempt at securing a table, we were directed to the bar area. Fortunately, we didn't have to stand there very long as they were able to find an open table nearby. It was pretty busy and again we knew that coming in. We ordered the tom yum soup, panang seafood curry, garlic pepper pork, panko shrimp, and grouper. The stars of the lineup were the grouper and the curry. However, when you pay $26 for a curry dish you tend to hope for a portion size perhaps bigger than the tom yum soup. It was a solid curry, but not really much to work with portion-wise. Grouper was cooked just right (good choice, mom). Tom yum and panko shrimp were decent, but the pork was tough and really salty. Additionally, we had to frequently ask for more rice, as it came to us in tiny bowls. Overall, okay experience, nice ambiance, polite staff. Though it kinda sucks feeling a little ripped off when you get the bill. Honestly, I feel like we could've eaten a lot more for ~$100 (you could easily get similar quality cuisine at Chi Tung for half the price). You really sacrifice a lot when you opt for an Asian restaurant in the SW burbs as opposed to getting what you expect when venturing further into the city. I look forward to the day the south suburbs will have legitimate Asian cuisine with honest prices. read more

Came here w a friend friday after work because we were hungry and looking for asian cuisine near our job so we ended up at Thithi's. The food here was very decent and very close to our ethnic culture. We ordered the thai egroll i believe and fish maw soup. With the claypot cat fish. Im very skeptical when i go to "asian fine dining" restaurants and try vietnamese food because the flavors are usually off but i must say thithis dishes really did hit the spot and the flavor were on point. Im giving it a 4 star because we did end up waiting for our food a bit, im assuming bc it was a friday evening. And also the restaurant was nice but i wish there was some more lights in there because it was a bit dark and hard to see my food. read more

Liked this restaurant from beginning to end. Small imitate setting. Ample parking. Decor is pleasant and modern. Firstly the smells coming from the kitchen made our mouths water. Martini menu is expansive. We ordered Asian dreams, very good and smooth. Appetizer of escargot and shrimp in basil sauce with garlic bread was an interesting take with a slightly sweet taste, very good. We dipped the bread in the sauce. The Pho is good, however I've had better. The red snapper was Wonderful. Be mindful of the bones. It was a whole snapper with head and tail. Delicious, slightly spicy. Did I mention the fabulous service. So nice to stay in the neighborhood and find this treat. We will return over and over there is much to discover with this gem. read more

It is amazing to me that a restaurant this good is in Evergreen Park (not downtown). I've eaten at Le Colonial, and Thithi's is better. My wife and I get the same 2 dishes every time (Panang Curry with seafood & Pineapple curry shrimp) - they are both fantastic. read more

Honest Review, the Manager is not a Good Business Woman. She needs to bring in a Restaurant Consultant. Recently ordered several appetizers, two were OK and the third one in-which was the calamari and it tasted like old fish with tempura batter on it. It looked like frozen onion rings. We were very hungry and we hate about half of it before complaining. The Owner/Manager said, ' Oh I tasted it and it is OK'. 'Seriously you tasted our order. We disagreed with her and she did not offer to replace the order or discount from bill. Thought it was very unprofessional and not thinking about the affects and outcome of Yelp and 'The Customer is always Right'. Calamari is my go to appetizer. They need to go to other places that serve Calamari to see how it is done correctly. Do not order Calamari from Thithi's. We will not go Back to Thithi's. Amazing! One of the best Thai restaurants around. Had the Vietnamese spring rolls and they were one of the best I've had. I followed that with the Pad Woon Sen which had so much flavor. While there I also ventured into their drink menu which has endless options. I tried the Pomegranate which was ok, but my favorite was the Mango Corzo-Rita which is made with real mangos...you can totally taste it too. Nice spot for a date night, but you can also choose to come with the kids. Our waitress Vicky was amazing and we will keep coming back to see her. read more

I've been here at LEAST a dozen times and the menu caters to many tastes! The appetizer sampler is great. The soups are to die for. Drinks are generous and reasonable for Chicagoland. The one (and only) disappointment ever was the Seafood Crispy Roll appetizer which had no discernible seafood in it. We were told "you can't see the seafood because it's chopped too finely." Okay. Food was very good. Panang Curry was top notch, best I've had in this area hands down. Lemon grass beef appetizer, tender and delicious. Pad Thai very well done. Flavors in each dish, bright and fresh. Presentation of the dishes was very nice. Service pretty good considering number of servers on a fairly busy Thursday night. Bottom line, for Thai food, much much better than the alternative a few blocks south. read more

I was disappointed with the Tempura and the Pho, the tempuras crust was hard just the opposite of what it's suppose to be, the pho didn't have a depth of favor, that broth is suppose to be the highlight of the dish however Thithi's pho missed the mark with me. The drunken noodles were pretty good, great favors that reminded me of my time overseas. I'll give Thithi's another chance because the drinks are terrific. read more

While the Service & Food were Good, the menu was too pricey for Thai food. They're double the cost of other well established & centrally located Thai Restaurants. Example: $15 for Red or Green Curry w/chicken, while for the same portion size you can get for $6.95 at any other Thai spot. Ridiculous!! And I didn't like the fact that all their veggies aren't FRESH!! They need to re-think their prices if they want to be around long term. read more

I ordered Pineapple Shrimp curry. It was spicy but so delicious. Came with a bowl of rice. I had to ask for a plate to mix the rice with the curry. Plenty of food. My wife ordered the lamb shank that was also delicious. Excellent food. read more

I give it one star because the first time I ate there it was great, I would have given it a five! The service, the food were both really good; the scallops were huge & plentiful, the shrimp were the same. I liked it so much I returned and ordered the same meal for take out. The problem was that I was the first customer of the day, at 11am, ordering a dinner entre, appetizer and dessert (Godiva chocolate cake.) The food was not good! I took it home and when I opened it, the shrimp roll was fried a second time, the scallops and shrimp in the entre were just pieces, not whole and cake was stale (days old!) I called the restaurant, spoke with Tom, the owner's husband, he was very kind and apologetic, promised to pass on the information to his wife and would refund the meal to my card. I hadn't asked for or expected that, after all the total bill including a tip I really didn't need to leave was over $60. Soon his wife called from her home phone and disputed that anything was from the day before and that she could not refund the cost. She raised her voice and said I should have brought it back so she could see it, this after I had told her husband I live in the South Loop, Chicago and had made a special trip to the restaurant to get the meal. She was argumentative and as much as said I was not telling the truth, that they do not serve food a day old. I was so disappointed in how she handled the situation, she offered a credit for part of the bill but only if I dined in the restaurant again. After her attitude you can bet I will never dine there again, plus I had a party of ten when I did dine there a few months ago so she can bet that none of them nor my social group will go there again. I feel sick about how I was treated, I think the food is good, just don't ever buy a dinner entre as soon as they open!!!! read more
