We LOVE Thithi's! This place is such a gem and I feel so lucky to have found it. I spotted it on a whim and forced my fiancé to take me last year and now it's our go to place for birthdays and anniversaries. We were blown away by all the dishes, especially the curries. We like to try a new dish every time because everything sounds so good on the menu and ends up tasting even better. We aren't even big drinkers or martini people, but we always get a martini with dinner (me: ginger cucumber, fiancé: Asian pear). The service is usually really good, only one time that it wasn't. And our first time there we didn't realize that a reservation is pretty much necessary for a Saturday but they were kind enough to put a little table together for us. Overall, the most upscale and delicious Thai food I've ever had, just be ready to spend more than your average Thai restaurant (but it's so worth it)!! read more

I stopped by the restaurant for the first time to try the food. I looked at the menu and did not see anything that sounded good to me. I was getting ready to walk out the door. The hostess encouraged me to try something on the menu. I thought that I would give it a try as the hostess was very pleasant with me. I received my food and traveled home with it. As I started to eat the Pad Thai I did not like the smell. I thought that maybe it was my senses however the smell did not go away and I started to feel nauseated. I returned the pad thai back to the restaurant and expressed that I could not eat the food and wanted a refund. I spoke with the manager or owner of the establishment and she made me feel like I was crazy because I did not want the food. She did not offer any other dishes and proceeded to tell me that nothing was wrong with my food and that she will have to throw it away. She also gave me uninviting look when I said that I wanted my money back. Additionally I also received a lecture that when I order food from this restaurant that I have to keep it as I would not receive a refund. This restaurant received high honors from "Check Please". I received unacceptable customer service. I give it the lowest score that could be rendered. I will also share this experience on my social media pages. read more

I was excited to try this restaurant since I heard is was Vietnamese and French fusion. The menu was actually made of of various dishes, including Vietnamese and Thai. I ordered the shrimp and vegetable tempura, which was very good. I love Thai iced coffee, and that was good too. I had the lunch special which included garlic chicken stir fry, soup of the day, which was chicken soup and a spring roll. The soup didn't have much chicken at all. There was so much onion, it should've been listed as onion soup. The spring roll was good, but my entree was not. The dish was so loaded with black pepper, I couldn't eat it. I did not even taste garlic because there was just way too much pepper. This ruined the experience for me. The food is also quite pricey and you get small portions. read more

I had the pineapple curry shrimp. It was very good and very flavorful. I wish I had the option of brown rice though as I'm not supposed to eat white rice. My husband had the pork shank and he said it was very good. Also the avocado egg rolls were very good as an appetizer. This was all carry out so I'm sure it's even better fresh in the restaurant. Went here last night for dinner and I loved it! Had the seafood rolls, Panang curry chicken and beef pad Thai. All was so good, but my favorite is the panang chicken. Had two martinis which were impressive as well. Will be back for sure. read more

I was so excited to try this place as I've been desperately looking for a good Thai restaurant on the south side. We made a reservation for 6:15 last night (Saturday) and it was a good thing bc almost every table was sat when we got there. We were able to get the reservation when we called at 4:00, so we felt lucky about that. The decor in the restaurant is beautiful. However, here it comes, the reason for the two stars: SOOOO SLOW!! There were only two waitresses for the entire restaurant. They probably had at least 10 tables each. That's way too high of a ratio to get good service. Drinks took 20 minutes, appetizers another 30 minutes, and then 45 more minutes for our entrees which were only pad Thai and beef pho - these are staple dishes that should only take minutes to have ready to serve. We had the wings and spring rolls for appetizers. The wings had nice flavor, but lacked a substantial amount of meat, and the spring rolls were nothing special. The chicken pad thai was awesome! Some of the best I've ever had. I can't comment about the beef pho bc I've never had it before, but found it bland. Also, since we have never had pho before, and it would have been appreciated if the waitress informed us that the side dish of sauces was for the pho and not the pad thai. I know this is my fault, but it would have been a nice touch if they didn't just assume you eat this stuff all the time. Waitress was nice, but not overly friendly or at all apologetic for the excruciatingly long wait for our meal. Probably won't be going back, except for takeout maybe. read more

What a fantastic and totally unexpected addition to the neighborhood. The interior is really well done. The drink list is as good as anything on the north side. And the food is exceptional. Recently, I returned with some friends and there are a few things the restaurant needs to work on: service is slow slow slow (waited 30 min to be seated and I had reservations). The food is delicious but a bit overpriced and the Pho would have been nicer if they offered the fresh ingredients on a separate plate to add to it. Finally read your bill carefully, this is my second visit and both times they charged me for an extra drink! read more

I loved this place when I went a couple of months ago. I was fortunate not to get caught up in a crowd. There was just two tables being waited on. Just as I was leaving the energy was picking up.. The bar was full. People began to stream in after work and on dates. They filled the bar with conversation and laughter. Just what the neighborhood needs, a place to wine and dine your significant other or turn up a few with friends and go home a few blocks away.. I am hoping they rectify their issues . Being a small business owner myself , I realize the importance of frequenting places in the neighborhood. If you don't do it , you'll look around and have to go miles away from home to do everything. The ambiance is nice, the food was nice...the drinks are on point. Please, give these people a chance to address your concerns.. Voice your opinions directly to them. I had the mahi-mahi and my wife had the scallops & both were great. Our friends love coming here & try something different each time and we're always happy with the food and service. It's a non-pressure dining, great staff, & only hold back is lack of available parking. Might recommend Uber or Lyft next time & that will be upcoming as it's one of our favorites now! read more

Second visit and while the quality is still good, we were overcharged for 2 dinners. What irritates me is that they didn't want to acknowledge their mistake. Their prices are already a little high, but to overcharge and not correct it means that in a matter of 2 weeks, customer service doesn't matter. read more

I had high hopes for this place. The food is good but not worthy of the offensively high prices. The wine list isn't very sophisticated for which I expect when entrees are $25 and up. Service was slow. I had to call several times to make a reservation and when I finally got someone to answer me, I was hung up on immediately. I ordered the saffron scallops which were not very 'saffrony' and my mother had the chicken stir fry which was too chewy and reminded me of the stir fry you get at bakers square. Low quality chicken. The scallops were very small though the sauce was excellent. I think this place would be better if their pricing was more realistic. It's kind of dumpy (on the outside) and hidden. Amazing martinis, seriously. I like wine, really never had a good martini, until now. My girlfriends that like martinis say these are the best they have ever had as well. We had and loved the hot and dirty, ginger cucumber, regular cucumber, grapefruit basil fizz, and the red sangria the most. Overall what a great time. Chi, who made our martinis, was super helpful, nice, knowledgable, and friendly. Pho, calamari tempura, spicy crunchy seafood rolls, and chicken panang delicious. Reallllllly hope this place makes it, soooo good, pretty restaurant, nice family run local spot, nice people, amazing drinks and food. Definitely give it a try! read more

Came here last Sunday 1/10/16 with my mom. We ended up here because ChiTung was booked so we I suggested we come here. Well I'm glad ChiTung was booked because we would have never come. This a small spot that can easily be passed if you're driving to fast. The service was good, kid friendly, and the food was good. For appetizers we ordered the the seafood rolls and lemon grass beef, both were good, the beef was a little on the dry side (wish we had a choice on how we wanted the meat cooked). I had the Thai fried rice with shrimp (delicious and nice portion....I had lunch the next day). My mom had the Drunken Noodles (with a padtahi noodle substitute) I'm not a fan of Padthai but her dish was really good!!! read more

I have dined here several times. Every time has been amazing. Years ago I was introduced to elevated Thai cuisine at Arun's and the experience spoiled me for all other Thai restaurants. That is until I dined at ThiThi. The Seafood Panang curry is the equal to or better than the curry dishes at Arun's. So good that it has been difficult for me not to order this superb dish every time. The appetizers that are my favorite are the Asparagus Wraps and the Avocado Wraps. The Eggplant and Tomato was also spectacular. I finall ventured out and tried several fish dishes. The Scallops and Shrimp with Asparagus was terrific and the Grouper with potatoes and beurre blanc sauce was one of the best seafood dishes I've ever eaten in an Asian restaurant. I doubted/feared when they opened that they would not survive on the southwest side because almost nothing of any quality ever does in this neck of the woods. Amazingly they are a huge success. Service is by staff people who have been with ThiThi for years. They are part of her family in a fashion. They are efficient, friendly and terrific even when the house is full and plates are flying like Frisbees T^o dine there once is to start a new addiction. Start it today! . read more

My husband and I went here for lunch today and what a beautiful place! So glad to have it on the south side. I had the Vietnamese pork chop lunch special and a pear martini & my husband had a catfish curry dish with Sangria. DELISH! I would have given five stars but it's too pricey for the location. Oh and service was great too. All in all, I would recommend and would probably go again. read more

I was completely excited when thithi's finally opened. It was worth the wait!! This place is so different from anything else in EP. It's a great addition to the neighborhood. I went with my sister on a Wednesday evening. We had appetizers and martinis. They have THREE pages of martinis. We had the Vietnamese Spring Rolls, Seafood Crunchy Rolls, the snails and shrimp in curry sauce, and the Sesame Encrusted Ahi Tuna. We also sampled a friend's meat platter...beef, chicken, shrimp and scallops in different sauces. The remodel was done very well...it's beautiful inside. We will definitely be going back soon, and I will be trying an entree for sure. read more

Lunch at ThiThi's was just the answer for a cold, wet fall day in Chicago. The remarkable beef stew provided the aroma as from a welcoming home kitchen and the spices and heartiness provided fuel for the chill outside. I always appreciate the kitchen's openness to providing more or less spice and heat as requested by each diner. And, we always rely on the knowledgeable server's advice. We returned after taking out of town guests to dinner there recently and found ourselves laughing that the guests had bordered on being unavailable for conversation because of their enthusiasm for their dinner. Absolutely amazing! I had banana duck and it blew me away. Sat at the counter. You may want to make reservations on the weekends or call ahead it's that good. Great service and clean bathrooms too. I googled pho resteraunt in the area and this one came up. The resteraunt is clean and the servers were very nice, but I was overall really disappointed by the pho and by how long it took to get my check. The pho tasted very cinnamon-y and wasn't a clean tasting beef broth. It was very cloudy and just not a great flavor. There was extremely small portions of meat in there as well. I had to ask for sriracha and when it came, they had put a small amount of it and the barbecue sauce in a small dish and I hate the barbecue sauce. I was also mildly surprised that it was served with a fork and a spoon, which made eating the pho more difficult, but that's just a personal preference so nothing against them for that. Lastly, it took ten minutes to get the check. Just a while before someone asked which sucked because I was on a lunch break. It was honestly the worst pho I've had and I wouldn't come for it again. That being said, the servers had great personality and he resteraunt is multi cultured theme resteraunt, so I could've just had the worst dish on it and they have great food otherwise. read more

We had dinnerhere Saturday night and it was just okay. the restaurant is very nicely decorated, cloth tablecloths, nice ambience. We felt the food was overpriced and not that great. The spring rolls were kind of tastless, and chewy, the sauce was good. I had Pad Se ew, which was pretty good, but on the bland side and the chicken was dry and possibly precooked.Our waiter was nice but had too many tables ,so it took a long time to get drinks and food.
