The staff allowed me to choose and select what I wanted, in my price range, and then gave me a much better price by far, then the other dealers. I saved thousands. Just another POS dealership. I ordered a truck with Thompson GMC and they lied to me for 4 months (I have all the texts to provide my allegations) . I had been in contact with several dealers trying to order a truck. And out of the blue, the sales representative with Thompson GMC, texted me they got an allocation and my build was excepted. A few weeks later I was contacted by other dealers in the area and I told them I passed because I had a truck coming or so I thought. Then 4 months later I speak with the sales manager and he informed me, I didn't have a truck on order and they have not received a AT4 in months (probably because of their shady dealings). There are several good GMC deals in the Sacramento area, just skip these scumbags. Update - The business manage tries to justify this by saying GMC has constraints, but I check in with the salesman at least once a month and would lie every time I called. This had NOTHING to do with GMC constraints and everything to do with BS sales tactics (that I am willing to bet came from their leadership. read more

RUN FAR AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!! I unfortunately got extremely blind sided by this dealership. I came in to lease a 2022 GMC Terrain AT4. This trim is a little hard to find. Dustin Hill helped me with my inquiry. I was waiting for my tax return to come in, and I was going to put down $5,000 (we all know we can't rely on a timely IRS return). They were aware of this situation ahead of time before I came to the dealership to check out the car. He never told me to bring a check in to have as a hold. The finance manager, Steve Conner, said they had to have it (of course after I signed the contract) and they were fine with holding the check a few days until I got my down. I live in Sacramento part time, and Gardnerville NV part time. I had to drive an hour plus out of my way to come bring Dustin a check in Kybryz so they had some backup to hold onto. I get that, but that would have been great to know ahead of time. Gas is not free these days. I had signed for this car, all is well and good. I said my down should be in by the 8th of April and that I could not make any guarantees. Well, they ended up selling the car from underneath me. Okay, I get that, they couldn't patiently wait a couple extra days for my down to arrive. HERE IS THE ICING ON THE CAKE, they charged me $18,000 for the leased portion of the car, even though they sold the car to someone else. THEY GOT PAID TWICE. A car that was not in my possession is now on my credit and I'm getting a bill due for May 1st. HOW DOES THIS EVEN HAPPEN?! Oh I know, they released the contract to GM Financial regardless. I thankfully was in Sacramento when I noticed this charge and I drove up to Placerville. I talked to Dustin in store and he said there was nothing to worry about, and that would fall off my credit, and the contract was cancelled. Well it it was not cancelled. Come to find out, I actually was supposed to have signed a cancellation contract. That was never mentioned to me, so I trusted Dustin. Big mistake. I am now in talks with a new dealership, to get the same type of car, and they tell me that I already have an open loan with GM Financial, and are unable to sell me a car due to that reason. Mind you, my credit score has dropped even more because of good 'ol Thompson's mistake. I am told I need proof of cancellation. That would have been something I should have signed when I came up to see Dustin in store. I speak with Steve once again, he said it's GM Financials fault, and would not take any responsibility for the situation. Shocker. I finally got into contact with Thompson's finance director, Shannon Burke, after hours of calls, and he said it was indeed their fault, not GM's. Also, Steve told GM Financial that it was a lease back out, when it fact they sold the car to someone else. I didn't back out of anything. This has been an absolute NIGHTMARE due to the negligence of Thompson's GMC. Now here I am waiting for this loan to fall off my credit, so I can take my business elsewhere. As for now, I am stuck without a car, a loan on my credit report, and an absolute bad taste in my mouth from this dealership. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. read more

Everything about this place is horrible. They marked up the truck 7995, they offer 8.99 percent financing, Matt was horrible trying to get in contact with. They lowballed me at 63k for my truck. They add paint protection to the new truck for 800 , gps for 1000. Said they would knock off the paint because it had not been done. They would only go down to 595 for gps, I said I don't want it. They said if that's a deal breaker then so be it. Ended up with silveira gmc. Same truck as Thompson. No bs gps, no paint protection bs, only 2900 markup, got 5.74%, and received 65k for my truck.
