Everything about it is great! You can also get their salads as a wrap. Amazing beer cheese Great service, amazing vibe.

Great beers. They have a Belgian ale x ipa that tastes like Delirium Tremens but lower abv. Pizzas are mainly personal pans.

We were staying on 28th Street and decided to check this place out. Chase was our bartender, and he did an excellent job. He let us taste a pilsner beer I was considering, but then we saw the specialty cocktail menu and went with the Petal Punch. The presentation was nice, with a flower on top. The mixture of the vodka-rose-hibiscus and lavender syrup, with lemon juice and soda water was outstanding! Chase was tinkering with using gin instead of vodka for another specialty cocktail and we told him to make our second one with gin and we would provide the taste test. It was also quite tasty. I preferred the vodka, while my friend preferred the gin, so both were a hit. We ordered the Elote Dip as an appetizer. It was a flavorful combination of street corn and sauce that was exceptional. It also came with a handful of chips, but for a price of $13, this seemed a little high for a dip and chips. The bar is spacious and has a nice eclectic atmosphere feel. There are many beer and liquor selections available at this brewery, with many specials and "leaderboard" recommendations, front and center at the bar. This place is a nice stop for drinks, and it gets a pretty good crowd for dinner. We heard the couple at the table behind us tell the waitress that her husband wanted to come back again because the burger was so good the night before! That is saying something!

First impression of Thornapple is that it's a fun place to have a beer/cocktail/wine. I went there for food and beer. I tried the nitro stout (4/5 against a Guinness), and their Mosaic Trelis Hazy IPA. I really enjoyed both beer, nice head on the nitro . 3 tings 1) 10 beers or so, cocktails are mixed with their spirits and all have won some awards check that out next time. 2) Place is uge and will accommodate large parties, and big groups. Bring in your party their a fun gang and there plenty of space. 3) Had 12' pizza which was well topped (I built my own) and it had plenty of toppings. I will say that the crust is premade so that my only gripe but it's a beer place not a pizza place.

Don't get over this way nearly as often as we used to but the wife and I had a meeting on this side of town and stopped in for lunch. Our server was great, he practically had the whole room and bar by himself though someone came out later and assisted but service was still great and timely. He brought me out some special hot sauces on request and gave us some feedback on dishes. The food was great we got the spinach dip appetizer and then my wife got a chicken sandwich and I got a burger with fries. Main dishes were great the dip was solid too but a little bit smaller for an appetizer. I was sad too that it looked like the cheese curds were taken off the menu, maybe it'll come back again. Always a great spot and lots of good drink selections too (I got the mango habanero cider and my wife got the classic ginger peach cider- yum!) we'll be back and probably try a pizza again because that's one of their staples and the ones coming out looked delicious (we just had it recently though).

    Fabulous pizza. It's a can't miss.

Tek experience the best service, but sure did have a fabulous pizza. Had some really good craft beer, here, and a decent selection of cocktails. Pretty good menu and outdoor seating.

The food was top notch. I would have like the pizza cooked just a minute or two longer, as I had 3 toppings and the middle of the crust was a little soggy. Other than that, I have no complaints at all! Staff was efficient and friendly and the beer and gin were fantastic as well.

In town for business so always like to hit a local brewery. Found this one on Yelp. What a great find. Wasn't too crowded on a Mon night but sounds like it gets packed with live music on other nights. I sat at the bar. So enough pleasantries, what about the beer and food, Andy? Well OK. *Beer- I had the Mosaic Trellis NE IPA and it was really tasty. Riding the hazy IPA wave *Food- had the bacon burger and man, was it good! Greasy and delicious on a good bun. *Atmosphere- they were playing classic rock -Rush, Boston, Pink Floyd instead of normal hipster bs which was really cool and at a low volume. (Yes I'm over 50...) *Service- super cool and attentive staff Cool place and will definitely try a few more beers next time I'm rolling through here. Cheers!

We were only drinking on this trip, but I was the drinks were pretty worth the trip. I had the Sriracha Sayonara cider, and it was the perfect flavor of sweet and spicy. Although it had a spicy taste, it didn't really have a spicy burn (it didn't taste hot). My fiancé had the jalapeño margarita, and it tasted yummy, but if you would've told me there was no booze in it, I probably would've believed it It tasted very much like lime sour and not much like jalapeños or like tequila. We also had their version of an Oktoberfest, and I thought it was the best Oktoberfest I've ever had, but my fiancé felt it wasn't as heavy as it should be. Overall, service was great, drinks were like a 3/5. I've heard their known for their pizza, so I'll definitely have to come back to try that.

Stopped in for a bite to eat and a beer on the way to the airport. Food was fresh and the beer was good!

One of my friends and I ordered the Gentle Tussle cocktail, which came with rose petals. While it looked beautiful, we found it very difficult to drink and didn't enjoy the flavor. I understand that cocktails can be a matter of personal taste though so others may feel differently. For my meal, I ordered the brick chicken which is a grilled chicken thigh with potatoes and green beans. The chicken was a little underseasoned and undercooked, the potatoes were unfortunately not fully cooked either, and the green beans had a flavor that seemed off. Overall, I had a very poor experience with the food this time around. The highlight of the evening was our server, who was friendly, attentive, and did a great job throughout our visit. He recommended the cocktail, and while it wasn't for me, I appreciated his service and hospitality. I'm hoping this was just an off night because the server did tell me that the day I went was the first day with their new menu. I'd be willing to give it another try in the future, but I left feeling pretty disappointed this time around.

I could see after having a few beers these might have seemed good, but sober they were not it. Double cheese burger was smaller then I anticipated. Beef was well seasoned and had a good taste. Bun was generic. My real issue was the veggie on it. My lettuce had brown/black tips. My tomato was soggy. The pickles had no crunch to it, they were tough to bite through. Fries that came with the burger were also not my favorite. Thickness between wedge fried and steak fries, rough chopped every piece was different size so how could you cook them all consistently. No crisp to the fries, fairly greasy too. I wont be back.

Inside you will find an array of high tops and low tops as well as some dinette seating but no booths. Visiting recently on a Saturday was a little tough but that was because half of the restaurant was reserved for a scheduled party. The service was a little choppy but the team did apologize for the lengthy wait and the back and forth. I truly believe it was because they were expecting a large crowd and people who were dining in didn't have a place to sit right away. All in all the food was delicious! Note there are times where they run out of BBQ so if you don't want to make the trip you can call ahead. There stated hours of operation are: Mon - Thur: 4:00pm - 10:00pm Fri - Sat: 11:00am - 10:00pm Sunday: Closed We ordered the following: Chips and queso with a side of pico: this was delicious. The queso was creamy and the pico gave it a great tang! I don't know if the chips are made in house but they were great. $9 1/2 LB Smoked wings in buffalo sauce: The wings were served with ranch and they definitely fell off the bone tender. The buffalo sauce was your typical sauce flavor. The wings come with a slice of bread that they put under them - almost missed it. $8 BBQ Meat Sampler: 1/4 Lb. of Each Meat -- Chicken, Pork, Brisket, Pork Ribs Served with BobbyQ Sauce, a slice of bread and some pickle chips. This sampler was perfect for two. It was a great way to try all their bbq options. My favorite was the brisket. Everything was well seasoned and so tender. The BobbyQ Sauce is their bbq sauce and they serve it warm. The sauce has a nice tang to it and goes well with the food. Because the restaurant was pretty busy I did not ask if they offer other sauces. $28 Jalapeno Cornbread with whipped honey butter: the cornbread was good but we didn't really get that jalapeno kick and will most likely skip on this next time. $4 Kids menu MAC & CHEESE made with queso blanco and served with a choice of Chips, Apple Sauce, Potato Salad, or Fusion Slaw We chose the potato salad but it was very bland and the kids did not like how hard the potatoes were. I think my kids would give the fusion slaw or the house chips a try next time. $8 Overall the food was great and we love supporting local so we will definitely be back.

Lofted above is a great looking outdoors complete with heat lamps and a mini A framed covered area that can be rented for parties. We were greeted warmly by friendly staff and given a kids menu, draft and spirits menu, regular menu and restaurant week menu. Menus galore! We went with the 3 course meal (many items can be ordered on the regular menu) for $25. I ordered the tomato paprika soup and my husband got the split pea soup. Of the two, the split pea soup was the clear winner. Two kinds of pork (cubed and shredded), well balanced seasoning and texture married well to enhance a soup I've loved since childhood. I could've easily eaten a bowl for my meal. The accompanying homemade Dutch Rye Bread, though I'm sure it's authentic, I didn't care for. It was dense, soft and had an off putting flavor. The second course we had was equally delicious. My hubby had the beef and pork sausage overtop a bed of mashed potatoes with kale, onions and bacon. I loved the addition of kale and the sausage was tasty. Everything was well seasoned. My beef slow cooked with apples and beer was delicious. I wish it had been served with more beef. It would have been nice to have some bigger chunks of meat to dive into. The mashed potatoes they came with were good, but the potatoes with kale were the star between the two dishes. The kid's meals were also good. The hamburger had a nice smokey flavor with a tasty side of fries. My daughter didn't care for her Mac 'n cheese, but that's because it was too refined for her palette. The Gouda cheese was complimented by the egg noodles. The third course was dessert. I tried the restaurant Flip custard: Dutch custard, fruit compote, and topped with a dollop of Greek Yogurt. It came with a cute spoon that gave the perfect portions and the flavors all complemented each other well. I would order this again and again. It was a great balance of tangy, fruity and sweet. My husband had the stroopwafle icecream. It was also good, and came with a cute mini stroopwafle. I washed all this down with their Bier Distillery Lager and tried a flavored banket spirit. This restaurant originally was just a beer and specialty liquor spot. I love that they now serve food, because that was the highlight of our evening. I wish this establishment was closer to our home, but perhaps will come back when the weather is nicer to enjoy the outdoor patio. Definitely come and check out this The Bier Distillery for yummy Dutch inspired food and drink! Worth the drive.

I was so excited about this option when I saw it on Instagram but there is so little mention of it in the menu (basically an, "ask us about our mini cocktail flight" at the bottom of a page) and no leaflet showing the flight details or price. I'm very much a person that likes to try a little bit for everything so once I remembered it after we left, I had a moment. I got a Gin Fizz and the bf got a Blueberry Vanilla Mule. The gin Fizz tasted very much like lemonade, even with the addition of cran flavoring. The Blueverry Vanilla Mule was very strongly clove. If you like clove, you'd likely like that one. We decided against getting second cocktails since happy hour had ended, but got a flight to try their stuff. We like the liqueurs but they are hard to sip straight due to all the flavor they pack. Our favorite was the Pink Peppercorn Gin out of everything we tried. The tour is $20 and it comes with a flight, which we were going to try anyway. Or you can just do the tour for $10 if you don't want a flight. It's not much of a "tour" in a physical sense as their production facility is small, in just one room, but we learned a lot about distilling in general, as well as a lot of information about the company and their products. I'd highly recommend it especially if you don't know much about the company. The interior has a 20s speakeasy feel, which I really liked. It's a little fancy but comfortable and welcoming. The drink menu was pretty large and it was tough for me to choose which drink I wanted after the flight. I ended up with the blueberry margarita because it was on happy hour. It was really great! Not too sweet. Nate got the cherry black Manhattan which we both enjoyed too. I loved the flight because we got to try pretty much all of the spirit offerings, including their amaro, Oaxacan green corn bourbon, and pink peppercorn gin, which were all unique and very tasty. Our bartender was knowledgable and very kind - great service. I'll definitely be back!
