Machine number 35 saying full, error, slow and clothes come out very damp. Machine number 27 never fully seems to work properly. Count your money from the money machine. About 1/3 of the machines were broken or out of order. Of the machines that worked, they all showed some level of grime in the laundry soap dispenser. Makes you wonder how clean the machines really are. Plus the coin dispenser was out of quarters. Thankfully a guy (the owner?) came by just in time to fill it back up while I was there. Plus it was expensive! I had to clean a large comforter and the extra large washer was $7 for a 25 minute wash. Finally, hate to say it, but there were some sketchy people in there. Only reason I'm giving this a 2 star is because it's in a good area by the beach but other than that the prices are ridiculous, the machines are always breaking down and stopping before the cycle ends, on top of that the manager woman is a racist B that only says hi to Asian and white people, if she sees someone of color she has attitude, gives mean looks from her hole in the wall and tries to rush you. worst service. story: I dropped a few quarters in my machine to run it again before i realized it was eating them. nbd it's 75 cents, turns out you have to unlatch it and relatch it first. The attendant was right across from me so i told her about it- i figured she'd just give me a few quarters. NOPE. She kept asking me why i put in more than one quarter (I'm sorry? this machine takes 14 quarters but from. now. in. I'll. do. one. at. a. time. and. check. each. quarter. in. a. machine. i. know. was. working.) Then she proceeds to tell me there's nothing she can do because she's "just a helper" and can't open the machine and that she doesn't have quarters. she tells me to call the owner's number (posted on the wall for "emergencies") if i want to. 1) if there's "nothing you can do" why did you try to make me feel stupid about losing more than one? 2) the business is set up so if i have a problem with $0.75 i need to call the owner's emergency number? 3) she LIED to my face. this is also a fluff and fold, she's using quarters to do multiple loads of laundry in the machines RIGHT NEXT to mine TLDR rude + lying attendant i would've been happier if the attendant hadn't been there at all read more

What is everyone's deal with the poor ratings on a freaking laundromat?! Maybe because I don't frequent them enough to form such a polarizing opinion, but this one is FINE. The man that worked there was nice and greeted me when I came in but otherwise left me alone. They have a HUGE selection of machines (if you want to do one load of 60lbs of stuff, they got you). My washer went kaput and water spilled everywhere, so I had to basically wash every towel I owned that was soaking wet. Went there on a Saturday at noon. There were people but not so many I was fighting for space. It's got a ton of machines, the folding tables are fine and there were a lot of wheelie baskets for people to hoard for themselves. I used 3 40# machines that all worked well and 2 30# dryers that were fine too. 40# machines will cost you $4.50, then the dryer is .25 for 10 minutes. Put that on HIGH and you stuff will be dry in 30-40 minutes. Best part is that it's walking distance to Fatburger and next door to Beach Bowls açaí. We all know acai bowls take like 20 minutes to make (why is that?) so it's perfect to kill time. read more

Great laundry. Very clean and lots of machines to choose from, regular, large and extra large. I use the "fluff & fold" service and it's excellent. My cloths are always washed well, dried and folded nicely. This service saves me money & time, lots of time. I drop off in the am, pick up in the PM. read more

This place looks much better! Last time it looked very run down but it's much cleaner, with more larger washing machine and the dryers updated! They now have top and bottom loads. They're still 25¢ every for 10 minutes, except the bigger ones near the back is 25¢ every 7 minutes. The seatings have improved-no more flimsy plastic chairs making anyone paranoid whether it'll break or hold. The pop machine is updated, the candy machine is still the same but still run well with the reasonable prices as usual. The only downside I can really say is the price have gone up-it was $1.25 for a single load. Now it's $1.50 but I'm not really surprised. Maybe I got what I paid for back then. read more

Just for clarification, this spot may be called "Thrifty Wash and Cleaners" but it's labeled "Coin Laundry" on the outside. It's situated in a little strip mall between a fancy furniture store and a Martial Arts studio just south of the Albertson's supermarket. This coin laundry is consistently clean and in working order. Even the coin machine works every single time without a problem! No matter what time of day I bring my dirty clothes to this place there is always an available washer, dryer and a spot to fold. It's walking distance to the supermarket, loads of window shopping along PCH and about 5 coffee shops so there's just no way to get bored. So, if you're an apartment dweller without a washer/dryer( like me) and in the hood, you won't be sorry you tried this spot. read more

I'm doling out four stars after much comparison shopping...On one hand, this place is kinda dirty which would seem the apotheosis of a laundromat... Nay? It's the very IDEA that bothers me more than the buildup of a day's stray hairs along the lip of the washer- or maybe not- maybe it's the INTIMACY of other people's dirt from their laundry that triggers a dose of my OCD. Suffice to say I have started wiping down the place myself with my cleaned and bleached rags on more than a few occasions... On the other hand, after experiencing quite a range of places with loads of issues in ADDITION to being 37-53% more expensive, I have decided that I simply MUST deal with the lesser of the evils- dirt and a certain callous rudeness from ONE individual there (but not the others) who work there... All in all, this dirty little gem of a beach laundromat has plenty of working machines, plenty of choices from top loading to three sizes of front loaders (2.50, 3.50 and I don't know), is close to Fat Burger, has plenty of characters (though not as many as my new upgraded and overpriced local laundromat - I all say) willing to chit chat, ask you on a date, etc... Honestly, this is the kind of generally well run and solid place that you will notice- you NEVER see the progeny working at... No, they are probably busy attending really good colleges and so when their parents finally sell off the place to move into a back cottage house and babysit the Grand Kids- this place, like my awesome mechanic will be no more - replaced by condos inhabited by people I will never know... read more

Washing is $1.50 for the regular washers. $2.50 for the 3 load washer. Dryers are 25 cents for every 10 minutes and work pretty well. We came on a Wednesday night around 7pm and no one was there. The place was clean. That's the only good thing. Definitely don't leave your stuff unattended here, though, or someone will sneak their stuff in with yours! $1.25 for regular wash $2.00 for double load $2.50 for triple load $3.00 for the largest load Dryers are $0.25 for 10 minutes I came early on a Sunday morning (6:30AM) to wash sheets and bedding/use the large washers. Only one other person was there. By 8AM, a few more people had come, but still not too busy. Pretty good number of washer and dryers. Change machine takes $1 & $5s. Albertsons was open at 6:30AM just a few steps away in case you need to pick something up. read more

It is what it is...a laundromat! Labeled "coin laundry" on the front btw. Everything is always is working order and the prices are good. Less expensive than the machine in my building. I come here when ever I have a LOT of laundry to do and I want it done all at once instead of taking hours out of my day to do one load at a time. :) read more

It's a laundromat, nothing special...it does the job. All the machines were in working order. It's in the neighborhood, easy to get to. Plenty of coffee shops to hit while you wait and Albertson's in the back in case you need more bleach or laundry detergent. read more

I love how this place opens up your dryer because its 10 o'clock and you only have 2 minutes left to actually get your clothes completely dry. The lady wouldn't even wait two minutes after I paid money to dry my clothes. I always used to go here to do my laundry and now I'm done. read more

It's an older laundromat, but almost all the equipment is in good working order. I ended up here to wash a comforter which was too big for the machines I have at home. The prices seemed reasonable. I also ran into the owner and struck up a nice conversation with him. He's a very friendly guy and he's had this location since 1982! If I needed a large machine again I wouldn't hesitate to come back here. read more

This is the closet laundromat to my house. It's not very clean inside and the machines are old. The washing machines get the job done but seems like some of the dryers aren't true to their settings and therefore may take a few extra quarters to get things dry. read more
