The first time he came to check out my laundry center, I had to chase him to get an appointment, then he was late, then he didn't follow up with the home warranty like he said he would, then I had to follow up for him to do it. Today, was installation day. I had a feeling he'd disappoint so I texted him yesterday to confirm. He confirmed. Today, he's a no show. I waited 4 hours for him, missed being at work for him. Then, I get on a call with home warranty asking to replace him. They call him and all of a sudden he responds to my messages. Tells me he can't find a technician and will get back to me tomorrow. You couldn't tell me 2-4 hrs prior. Also, he never apologized for any of this. I hate leaving negative reviews but this was absolutely warranted. Jesse, I mean this with all respect to business owners everywhere, just because you can doesn't mean you should. It's clear you're not happy about what you do and it's a huge chore for you. Please do everyone a favor and find a different line of work that will be more fulfilling for you! This is the sign you've been looking for. It's ok to quit and do something else! What a terrible person and looking at the reviews I'm not the only one that has this opinion. Thunder Tech was assigned by my insurance to install my new washer. First red flag was the fact that I had to call them to make my appointment because they weren't reaching out. He then claimed he'd call me back but didn't until hours later. Appointment was set for today, waited and they didn't show up. I called and was told they reached out to reschedule. I asked for proof and they sent me a screenshot where someone had responded "wrong number." There was no attempt to try to contact me after that. They then tried to re-schedule for a day that I told them would not work. I have a huge box sitting in my living room that NEEDED to be installed today. I asked they come out today like planned but were instant on the day that would not work for me. I told them I was going to leave a bad review and he called me pissed off. We had an issue with our dishwasher and the warranty company first sent over another company with an absolute clown of a tech. When they finally sent over Thunder Tech the issue was diagnosed within minutes. We just need to schedule a follow up for an install and this 2 month long issue will be resolved with a total time of 2 hours of work from Thunder Tech. I will not consider using this company again. I was referred to them by Old Republic Home Plan. I called there listed number and someone answered "hello." I had to ask if I was actually calling the right number. They offered to come to my home today 4/1/21 between 9-11 am to begin work on my Viking range. I stayed home from work to wait. At 11 am I called and asked if the technician was coming. Again they just answered "hello." I was told they didn't know when the technician would arrive and said they would call the technician. Huge thanks to Jess, at Thunder Tech for doing a 5 star job!! Here's why: Was having a leak from my brand new GE washer, notified Old Republic Home Insurance and they sent the job to Thunder Tech. Jess quickly texted and called me and let me know he was available next day between 9-11am. He showed up exactly at 9am quickly found the source of the leak (gasket tear on hot water inlet hose), provided a brand new inlet hose and replaced. He also took the time to clean the wet areas on tile and educate me on proper care of a front load washing machine. 2 thumbs way up!! read more

Paid Jesse $1100 to install new compressor and get food display fridge at my business working at 41° or below as to properly store food for sale. The fridge never got below 50°. He came back once to try to fix it and was unsuccessful. I told him that this fridge is useless to me unless I could get it to properly keep food cold at the correct temperature. He said he would come been and try to make adjustments to get it colder. After that he ignored all my texts and calls. A solid month passed of trying to get him to finish the job. On the rare chance I even got a hold of him he always had an excuse on why he couldn't make it back out to complete the job. I realized eventually that he would never be able to get it fixed and I asked him for my money back. He refused to give me my money back. I came by Jesse as a referral from an acquaintance. I'm very grateful to that acquaintance now. He didn't actually get to repair my broken refrigerator because he did something rare - tried to prevent me paying him. It was likely a motor and blade down in the freezer section which had failed, he discerned after his inspection. Many would have told me right there and then to have him order and install the parts. Not Jesse. He told me that before I spent any money he'd rather I unplug it for four hours, plug it back in and then let him know after another hour if it was now cooling. If so, great, all I had to pay was the callout fee. If not, he would order the parts and repair if that is what I preferred. He did suggest that it was rather old (17 years) and (although it still looks pristine) will be wearing out now. It turns out that didn't resolve the issue and I'm purchasing a new one but I'm giving Jesse 5 stars for being that rare person - an honest tradesperson. Highly recommended. read more

The contractor claimed that he had a flat tire on his way to our house when we could clearly hear a TV loudly playing in the background. The next day the contractor never showed and when i called his phone he sent me a text message asking me to not call his phone because he felt disrespected by my husband...he then began to bombard my phone with text messages that were disrespectful and unprofessional... Wow..great customer service! I sent an email to the CEO of my home warranty company because if this is the type of customer service that they condone by the contractors that they send out, I don't want anything to do with them either. But I needed to pay for the parts so he could pay the parts store and pick them up tomorrow for installation. Scammed my $400 via Venmo and never picked up my phone or texts ever since! DISHONEST BUSINESS. Jesse provided me a "price estimate" for $80 to repair an igniter on an oven in my rental unit. I provided him the model number of the oven and he said he had the part. He fixed the oven just fine, and I paid over the phone. I open up the receipt via email, and $240 was the charge. He says the $80 was his service call fee (didn't explain that upfront). The part was $90 (didn't tell me that up front, even though he knew what it cost since he already had the part) and the rest of the charge was labor for what my tenant tells me, was about 20 minutes of work. read more

I hired Jesse to repair my Thermador burner that wasn't igniting. He came today to repair one but left me with two broken burners saying that it was my electrical outlet that's old and blew out the other two burners. Jesse I am sorry but your notes to my invoice is not 100% true, as you know that you only advised me to get a CFI outlet or else the next time when there will be an outage it can burn out other appliances in the house and I took a note of that. You did not warn me that your repair will blown out anything. You took apart ALL 4 burners to repair one bad burner. Now you left me with two more bad burners. How does that make sense? It is not my electrical outlet at fault or my fault. You are the professional and that's why you were hired to repair my burner. read more

He came the following Monday, Aug 13, told us what needed to be fixed and that he needs to order parts that would be in within 3 days. I called him Friday morning, four days later, after not hearing from him. He said he will pick up the parts later that day and can come by the following week to complete the repair. I urged him to see if he can complete the repair that same day, as we were without a dryer for over a week. He said he would try but later said it would have to wait to Monday. Fair enough. Come Monday, Aug 20, he calls me and asks to come in early. No problem. Comes over and realizes the initial thought solution didn't fix the problem. Gives me a new quote and that he needs to order more parts. Obviously I'm not happy, but realize these things may happen and authorize him to go ahead. We wait patiently... THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY!!!! I went through my home warranty company to have a microwave replaced in my home and they sent out Thunder Tech. When the microwave was delivered I tried on four separate occasions to get them to come back out to install the microwave. The owner answered the phone the first time and blamed his technician for missing the first appointment. The second time I called and he sent me straight to voicemail. I immediately called back from a different number and he made another appointment to come out to install the microwave, but once again left us waiting all day without showing up. When I called he hung up as soon as I said my name and is refusing to answer. It is now over a month and my microwave is still sitting in the box with no answer from Thunder Tech. This is THE WORST COMPANY I have ever had to wok with. I would never recommend this company even to my worst enemy. We met Jesse Calderon when he was working for another company several years ago, and while on a call for them, he told me he would repair for cheaper than the company he worked for. Since the amount the company he worked for was too much for us, and the price he quoted was substantially less (and he had bad mouthed who he was currently working for) we agreed to go with him. He told me to order the parts needed, then never showed up, after making several appointments which he stood us up on. We finally gave up, returned the parts, and hired another company who fixed it.
