I will never visit this location again. A few months back I took my mom for breakfast and a roach crawled across the wall and not one employee noticed. So we brought it to their attention and had to move tables. The staff was not embarrassed or even apologetic for the experience. It's not their fault but come on, who wants a roach to accompany their breakfast? Not cool. Just now I called to placed a to go order. Called the first time and no answer, sent to their voicemail which isn't set up. I waited a few minutes and called again. This time someone answers and says please hold and puts the phone down. I wait and wait, no one comes to take my order. I hang up and wait a few before calling again and conveniently am sent straight to voicemail. Guess they block your number if you want to place an order. Not cool. Let me tell you I was a customer of minimum 3 times a week at this location. I also frequent the one on Pat Booker. One day I told my sons to join me there we had their pancake breakfast there. The waitress brought out mine no problems. Then waitress brought out my sons he started to eat it but we were talking during our meeting. He never noticed there was a fly in his eggs. Till he got till the end. But right away I let the waitress know. I wanted the meal removed from my ticket. Because of the fly in his eggs. The waitress told the manager the situation. The manager said my son put it in his because he ate the majority of breakfast already. So she would not remove plate off my bill. I got really upset because I had been praising the service at Tias locations because I also frequent the one on Bandera Road. I used to love this place, but I'm in shock with my last 2 experiences with them and it's clear whoever is preparing the food there really does not give a f. I ordered a plate from them through DoorDash and they put my puffy taco right on top of my cheese enchiladas. Then I ate in restaurant a week later and they left the sticker on my lemon and displayed it on the plate in plain sight. It would have been so easy to remove but they literally just do not care. I got barracho beans and it was all fat and no beans at all and when I told the waiter he was just like "sorry." Didn't even offer to bring me actual beans that I ordered! Ordered for delivery, got the Mexican plate that is so big it takes two to go containers. It came with a chalupa, taco, two enchiladas , with rice and beans. I opted for the mini tacos with Fajita meat for 1.50. I added the charro beans but unfortunately there were about 6 beans in the whole container. But I survived!!! The food is really good here with quick service! There's several different menu items to choose from including breakfast! I got the poblano enchiladas and it was a good portion, especially during lunch. The restaurant is lively and definitely packed during the lunch hour. read more

So we've been coming to this establishment for a couple of months since it opened it's very nice on the inside. The food is OK. Waitresses are not very good there. They take their time coming back to check on you and I ordered some takeout tacos to go for my granddaughter. I ordered a potato and egg. There was a metal shaving in there. She's not even a year old yet, but if she would've eaten that?!!!! I was so upset and I tried to call them. The phone rang and rang. Finally somebody picked up and I was left on eternal hold when I tried to call back. It just kept saying that the voicemail had not been set up, which leads me to believe the phone was still off the hook. It's not a bad place. They just need to get it together over there. The cheese enchilada plate was good! The frozen margarita was not as good as I was hoping it would be & they forgot to rim it with sugar like I asked. It also had a few chunks of ice in it so it was weirdly chunky. Overall I felt like it was a pretty average experience. read more

Making a quick decision?: The food was good! They could handle certain situations better, but give it a shot! Have time to read?: The place looks beautiful on the inside! It was 1 waitress servicing the whole restaurant during lunch, but they definitely weren't busy. I ordered the carne guisada plate. It came with rice, beans, salad, & 2 tortillas. Rice & beans were like any other Mexican restaurant, and very delicious! The tortilla was very good too! The carne guisada had A LOT of fat. In fact, every good piece size piece of meat had a thick layer of fat. Now, don't come for me... I know meat has fat. But this was so much. We informed the waitress, just so they knew & didn't serve the next person the same. She asked if I wanted them to take it back, but I had already eaten a good chunk (I just kept assuming the next piece would be better.) I told her I would just eat my rice & beans. She leaves and comes back and asks for my plate and again, I'm hesitant but says the kitchen wants to give me a new plate anyway. So I give her my plate. She comes came a minute later, and tells me that the kitchen said there was nothing wrong with my plate....... I had already agreed to pay my plate, of course. This is where I get a little upset... I had already stated I would just eat my sides, and then they tell me I'm wrong & they're not going to do what the said they would after all??? I never asked for another plate.. they were the ones who insisted but then decided otherwise, so why keep touching my plate anymore than they need to??? (They keep telling me I still have to pay for my plate, which I already said I was going to do!!) So we ask for a manager.. and there is no manager in the restaurant at that time....but they don't tell us initially, they send another waitress from the back who presented themselves as the manager until we asked if she was. We ended up being contacted by the district manager who handled everything way more professional than the store. They offered to comp the other meal that was on the tab, but we weren't looking for free food! My friend ate, and enjoyed their food. I wish I could give this place negative stars, disgusting. Ordered the fajita burrito, right off wouldn't feed this to my dogs. It smelled of dog food none the less i tried it. I'm not too sure what's going on at this place, but it definitely isn't ran like it's supposed to. People waiting in the front to be greeted and sat. My wife and I ordered tacos to go (5 tacos, 3 being bean and cheese) just to wait 35 minutes without being told anything, we got the tacos and you would assume that they were freshly made and tasted good, nope. Stopped by today for the first time. We used to come to this place often when it was Don Benitos because they had great lunch specials and great specials on their margaritas. I called about a week ago to see if they finally decided to have a decent price for their margaritas during happy hour and they do. We ordered their green enchilada lunch special today. They have two different choices every day of the week. It was 8.99 and include the iced tea. The food was good. Afterwards we ordered their frozen margarita. Happy hour price is 6.99 for a large one. Have been here at least four times. The first time was the best and then the last three times it has been steadily declining. Will not return. Walked in and sat ourselves. There is no signage indicating otherwise. No one came to our table. Had to ask to get a waiter. Another group sat themselves nearby. Waiter arrived with menus and one was covered in food. Waiter was not paying attention when we gave our order and we had to repeat twice. This is important for later. Waited about 20-25 minutes for five tacos. The table that sat after us had their food brought (plate specials) and ate and paid all in that same time. We finally had our food brought. Tortillas were supposed to be toasted. They weren't. Another waitress was then waiting on us. She also didn't seem to be paying attention and was kinda passive aggressive. Tacos themselves were decent but the food was not hot just lukewarm. You can tell they had been sitting awhile. This is the last time I will go to this restaurant. They do not care about standards anymore.
