This local spot that just opened in Ladera ranch blew my mind. I am gluten free I was convinced there would be very few things I could eat from here. We called on the phone and learned that they're able to make many of their items gluten-free. They will use a gluten-free soy sauce! I've never heard of any restaurant willing to remake classic dishes like orange chicken with gluten free soy sauce! This is a very big deal. AND it's delicious !!! So excited to find a good Chinese food place close to home!!! We got the orange chicken and Beef soup and it was delicious. The staff was so sweet and attentive to making sure we were taken care of. First time yesterday and we had orange chicken, mongolian beef, chicken fried rice, and shrimp tempura. As an Asian, I approve the taste of these dishes. Its not oily or salty. Just right flavor. I also asked to have no spice to any dish so my 2 sons can eat it, and they love it. Good amount per order so one entree can be for 2-3 people. We were also pleasantly surprised with the shrimp tempura, it is really really good! Prices are really great too and for all of the dishes we ordered, its only $60+. I ordered from this place last year when they first opened and thought it was ok. The quality of the food has gone downhill . Sorry but I'm Asian and I love good Asian food. I really think this restaurant caters to the white people in the neighborhood . The chicken broccoli was soggy and chicken was rubbery . I also ordered the beef low mein and my 7 year old son couldn't eat it . It was tough as leather. He even said Panda Express is better which doesn't say much. The only decent thing we ordered was the hot sour soup, egg rolls, fried rice and crab Rangoon. I will never come back here again. They also need to hire more staff . The cooks not to sound racist should be Chinese not Hispanic. I think that makes a difference. Wish they had good Chinese food near Ladera . The only decent one is Big Chopsticks in mission Viejo that is Chinese own and run if you want fast casual or China Moon in Laguna Niguel Chinese own and operated. Or DIHO SIAM in Ladera but only for Thai ..Only good Chinese places are in Irvine my opinion . Spending $50 on food I had to throw away is not cool. Especially in this economy. I had lunch here yesterday and was greeted at the door by Teri, the owner. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and the seaweed salad. Both were delicious and served quickly. I decided to try Tian Tian after reading so many positive reviews. Since I have celiac disease, I called ahead to ask about their gluten-free options. I spoke with Terri, who was incredibly helpful and explained their allergy protocols in detail. My friend and I went the following evening. Terri had mentioned that most of their dishes can be made gluten-free, with the exception of those that include noodles. I ordered the General Tso's chicken -- it was absolutely delicious. My friend had the Red Curry chicken, which was also very good. We shared the Szechuan green beans and both really enjoyed them. Thank you Terri. It's in a tucked away spot along the back lane dotted with little shops and business just outside the Ladera Ranch Corporate center near Antonio Pkwy. When you walk through the door, you are greeted and treated well. The service was great and the food was just as good! We ordered an array of dishes and wonderful eats. Everything and I do mean everything was tasty! The staff is just so kind and lovely. So accommodating. It's hard to find really tasty food for a reasonable cost, and we are so fortunate to have stumbled across this gem! My second experience was nothing short of amazing as well using the online ordering. Although it said food would be ready in 30 minutes, It took half that time and was plenty hot when I got home and served it up to my family. What a splendid addition to the beauty of Ladera Ranch. Some of the best I've ever had. The food was fresh, delicious, and sizable portions. I believe the server's name was Terri. She was warm and friendly, and very attentive.
