Our new favorite SJC eatery…read more We have frequented SJC quite often recently, mainly focusing on those new restaurants at River Street Marketplace...but have been disappointed because many places are highly priced but the food quality and quantity did not match the price point. Glad we decided to try Redwood Social today, which is near the Mission SJC side. Don't get me wrong...it's not "cheap" either. But the food quality, quantity, service and atmosphere make the price worth it. My kids already asked to return to this restaurant while we were still dining there. Kids loved the steak frites and Jidori fried chicken. Parents got the coconut curry with chicken and NY steak & eggs. Guava margarita packs a nice punch. There are plenty of indoor seating as well, but if the weather is nice, I'd definitely recommend sitting outdoors. Thumbs up.

Also, she had to be the one to give us the happy hour menu, the hostess gave us the regular dinner menu and Ashley save the day by telling us they are still on happy hour. So I ordered the Guava Margarita, really refreshing but a bit to strong for my liking but once I gave it a good stir it came out perfect. When then ordered the ff items: Wagyu dumplings Bang Bang Shrimp Pad Thai Adobo Ris Wagyu dumplings was absolutely amazing along with the the bang bang shrimp although I think it needs a little bit of lemon sprinkle. The adobo ribs was probably the best out of all the dishes. The pad thai was okay. Nothing to special about it. All in all great food, amazing atmosphere and great choice for an early dinner. I think a lot of the servers here are college students back for summer so I would say be a little patient but great food.

This one could've bee more authentic and although it wasn't my favorite I think it's a good shareable item just to try. I also tried their bibingka which they later told me wasn't made fresh by them, and that they have a local bakery bring it in, but it was still so soft and tasted pretty authentic. We also go their matcha drinks and those were excellent. They had ample seating inside and outside, but only had two bathrooms which was odd. We always had to wait in a line for the restroom, but there was plenty of lounge seating for groups waiting to be sat which I'm sure big families would appreciate. It's located on the corner of the popular street in SJC so it was easy to walk around while we waited for our table to be ready. Make sure you stop here for some filipino bites and try a little bit of everything. The staff was super friendly and everyone was nice from the host, baristas and wait staff. Very impressed with the aesthetics here as well. Loved the plants and think it gave the place such warmth.

Easy to eat - it's wrapped in a triangle like a sandwich and easy to pack. We also had the shrimp bowl, salmon bowl and tuna bowl. All delicious. My son wanted to come back and we got the Korean bbq bowl too Lastly bonus for the store taking online orders, responding to texts, and being very kind when I was lost and couldn't find the place and had to come back the next day to get my food. They were so gracious about the whole thing. Plus they are next to Oslo Coffee, which is another great spot so all the more reason to go there.
