Me and my boyfriend are wanting to get more into Indian food and we are now obsessed with this place before we ordered the guy explained EVERYTHING on the menu to us and gave his recommendations which was pretty much the whole menu we ordered the butter chicken and chicken curry with garlic naan! We were asked what level of spice we wanted and he seemed excited for us to try their food! It was brought out super quick and looked amazing! After we each took a bite we looked at each other a knew this was our new spot, plus the outdoor patio is super private and cozy with pretty plants at every table! The service was friendly but the place is operating with 50s technology -- paper everything. The meals we ordered were sub-par when compared with either Indian or Tibetan (Sherpa) restaurants we enjoy. Beef Shap-ta was much tastier than Butter Shrimp, which was rich on sauce but poor on shrimp -- five tiny shrimp for $17. For the first time in years we paid with cash as the place didn't seem equipped to deal with the modernity of credit cards and gave us a check without any itemization. Ordered to go via yelp. Went into the restaurant to pick up and they said they had no takeout order. They seemed unfriendly like they were acting as guards keeping you from entering the restaurant. Anyway, they asked what I ordered thru, and I said Yelp, then they realized that meant GribHib. They then said OK 10 minutes and then agreed that they in fact sis have an order/ it did come up quickly but it was odd that they said 30 minutes to start and hadn't even begun the order til I walked they the door. Fantastic food! My wife had the chicken tikka masala and I had the vegetarian vindaloo. Both were flavorful and fantastic. My kids even ate their chicken lollipops which are not spicy at all, if they were, they would let me hear about it. I literally cried... This restaurant used be amazing and have great customer service. However, I have attempted to come to this establishement twice since the new mangement/owner took over and he literally raised his voice at me and was beyond rude. When I get back he is servicing another individual and is super friendly to her. I walk further into the restaurant to see the changes and wave at Pops threw the class and the guy starts raising his voice and yelling at me... And I am in such shock because... I am like what is happening. I was like it is okay, Pops and I go way back I used to work here before they sold it... And he flipped out continuing to raise his voice and telling me to go sit down and I was even more confused because I got my food to go and I am not a child... And even if I was you do not raise your voice like that. He said "Oh yeah... I remeber you... " and then went on to say I was here on your last day or something he was rambeling on about... And again, I was super confused because I had literally only been there one other time to grab an order for someone eles... I thought he was just rude because he though oh... She is just a delivery person.. Which still didn't make it right... Anyways, the individual that was there signing her slip looked completely uncomfortable and shook her head at the guy. I said "you are being really rude" -(Thought in my head was) I am not sitting anywhere I ordered my food to go... And then he rememebered and said "Oh yeah... Wait here, your food is done I will go get it... While still raising his voice... And I walked out and went to Chipotles accross the street... Now this sucks for 2 reasons... First time here, and I am truly shocked how they got a 4 star rating. Here is what I saw 1. Rice was already totally dry not fresh. 2. Curry and other veggies were watery. 3. Bread was so hard it was difficult to chew. 4. Everything looked unappetizing and low quality. I still could not figure how it is a 4 star rating. I feel deceived by Yelp. Lunch Buffet. The lunch buffet was subpar. Me and my friend were both very disappointed. Two large trays in the buffet were occupied by tomato/cucumber slices and the other with watermelon slices to take up space. Chicken 65 was not very good. 3 dishes had the same sauce with different vegetables. Mixed, potatoes, and chickpeas were in nearly identical watered-down sauces. There were only about 6 items on the buffet with sauce (including chicken 65) so to have half of them be the same is a disappointment. Service was good but I would not go back. read more

We came in for dinner to try Tibet Corner out. This place deserves to succeed, but a few things need to be fixed. I had chicken butter curry and it was very bland; absolutely no spiciness to the flavor. Typically I will order curry dishes as mild, but this was not even close to a mild flavor. My second complaint (and one I have seen other reviews comment on) is the temperature of the food. My meal was served on a cold plate, and the food was only just warm enough. If I had ordered take-out the food would have been cold within 10 minutes. When you are the only people in a restaurant (it was a week day) there is very little excuse for serving food this cold. The above issues can easily be addressed. If they are, then Tibet Corner will get 5 stars from me. read more

This is the best restaurant on Main Street, hands down! Everything we've had here has been delicious, and so flavorful. Their garlic naan is a must, and goes great with everything. Prices are very fair, and the service is great. The menu has such a wide variety, and we can't wait to keep trying more items. Haven't had a chance to get the buffet yet, but it sounds like an amazing deal for $10. Stopped in here for a family meal before seeing a Christmas show over at Stages theater company down the street. We were disappointed the buffet wasn't offered on account of it being Sunday (which is dinner all day I guess). We ordered several plates of Indian food which we ended up passing around and sharing. Pretty standard stuff. Chicken Biryani, Chicken Masala, Some kind of beef meatball potstickers, and Naan. All of the portions were very generous - except the Naan. An order of Naan ended up consisting of two half-circles or bread. At our normal Indian joint in Wayzata an order of Naan is a basket piled high with several full pieces per person! We also enjoyed the jasmine tea, which was mild and relaxing. The staff was very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. This will be our go-to meal spot for seeing shows again! read more
