Shortly after, three other tables were seated and also placed their orders. Since we were the first guests and the restaurant was not busy, we naturally expected our food to arrive in a timely manner. To our surprise, every table that arrived after us was served their meals while we continued to wait. We politely asked about our appetizer and were told the server would check on it. After another 15 minutes passed, there was still no update, apology, or explanation. In total, we waited 45 minutes with no appetizer, no food, and not even a check-back to see if we needed drink refills. We felt completely overlooked. Eventually, we got up and went to the server to close out our tab. Once again, there was no explanation and no attempt to resolve the situation. We were simply charged for our drinks and left, deciding to dine at another restaurant few doors down. We were really hoping this would become a cute go-to spot for a nice meal since the menu looked very appealing. Unfortunately, the lack of basic customer service and communication made for a very frustrating experience. We sat at the bar, where our mixologist, Kalika B, was both personable and professional.
