My daughter and i had such a nice date night here. The place is absolutely gorgeous but what stood out even more was the service. Dani our waitress was great and very attentive. Michael Angelo treated us like royalty and will probably be the main reason we return. After our dinner he took us to the lounge upstairs which is a great spot to have a drink and get to know somebody. Dimly lit and welcomely decorated. Bartenders up here were also very nice and ready to serve. They also have a dj but we left early so didn't get to enjoy the scene too long. As for the food, we had the arincini appetizer which was good. The pasta however was phenomenal. It wasn't short rib but I can't remember the name but it was similar to a short rib pasta. For dessert we had the creme brulee which my daughter said was the best she's ever had. The drinks didn't stand out to me and I would like to see a little more creativity and options in this area. We had the carrot Margarita but it just tasted like a standard every day Margarita. Not bad but not impressive either. Then a mule that was on the menu which was good. The ladies bathroom was also a problem, only two stalls ... and whoever designed the door messed up when you are waiting in line the door hits whoever is waiting. What a great new addition to the Fort Lauderdale dining scene. Came here for a business dinner the other night and it was amazing. The drinks, the food, the service and ambiance were all outstanding. Started off with an old fashioned that is smoked tableside. For appetizers we had the oxtail empanadas and the tuna tartare. The empanadas were super tasty. For entrees I got the lamb shank and my colleague got the fish. The lamb shank paired with the grits was delicious. For desert we had the deconstructed blueberry cobbler (I think it's called the galaxy) And the strawberry shortcake beignets. The blueberry cobbler was probably the highlight of the meal for me. Meh. Listen the place is very cool inside with two theming rooms. We sat in the back that was really pretty however the tables had sort of a food court vibe to them, not condusive to the decor or surrounding atmostphere. We ordered the buratta which was yea ok but came out looking sad with 3 pieces of toast. Listen all restaurants!!! never ever provide odd numbers in that situation and always make sure the toast is overage to the buratta not the opposite. We had the fish which only took up half the plate and the other half was a sorta sauce in like a smile shape. The fish breading was VERY salty. I had dinner recently at the newly opened Timbr in Fort Lauderdale. The space is absolutely beautiful. It's no wonder they took so long to build this place out- they were clearly striving for a unique space for the area and they definitely achieved it. On that basis alone I really hope this place makes it because they definitely sunk millions into this place. The menu was interesting but clearly lacking seafood and vegan options, though it's my understanding the menu is a work in progress and more items will be added in the coming weeks. For appetizers, we shared the Burrata ($18) and the Oxtail empanadas (3 for $18), both very good. For my entree, I went with the Braised Lamb Shank. As you can see from the attached picture, the portion was huge and it was very tender and flavorful ($46). My friend got the 8 oz filet which he said was amazing, which it better be for $62. Personally, I'm not spending $62 for an 8 oz steak anywhere, anytime. I also enjoyed one cocktail, the Mango Lava Rita, which had a nice smoky flavor to it. The service was also very good. Just 2 minor complaints. First, the 2 entrees didn't come out together. The filet came out first, and then I had to wait nearly 5 minutes for my lamb shank to come out. I just thought that was a bit odd. Entrées should be delivered at the same time. Second, buyer beware - they add an automatic 20% gratuity to your bill. For a larger group, I can understand this, but I'm not aware of too many restaurants that automatically do this for a party of two. Maybe this is a trend that's becoming the new norm. Who knows. Personally, I always tip 20% anyway unless there is something egregiously wrong with the service. But some may take issue with this. The total including the 20% gratuity was $278, which included 3 cocktails. Without the drinks, the bill would've been around $230. After dinner, we went upstairs to check out the second floor lounge. It was fairly empty up there and we didn't stay for a drink, but the space is absolutely stunning. Seems like it would be a happening spot for a happy hour or late night cocktails on the weekend. Timbr has been anticipated in the area for nearly 6 years now and it did not disappoint in some areas while it left room to grow in others. Pros - the seated dinner area made me feel like I was in a Miami club located in the middle of a nighttime garden. The trees and stars located around the tables gave us a stargazing experience while sitting on cushioned benches around a table. A cozy yet lively dinner experience. The lounge upstairs is also a missing piece of Fort Lauderdale that may be fun to come back to in the future. Cons - Unfortunately the cons started almost immediately. The sever came and asked us for drink order, then appetizer orders.....then dinner orders? It had been 5 minutes and we hadn't received anything yet and by the time all the orders were in the server came back to tell us they were out of one of the drinks at 8pm on the third night of being open. The drinks finally arrived staggered along with the food which left us waiting around for each other to receive things. The food was good, but it didn't impress anyone at the table. I didn't even end up taking pictures of anything which is rare for me. Do not order the espresso martini. Not only is it on the dinner menu and they won't serve it to you, but upstairs in the lounge it was pretty bad. I thought it might have been an isolated incident, but someone next to me at the bar said the same thing. Hopefully they improve their timing and options, I know opening week can be rough. Half my check was comped due to cancelling my reservation when they pushed back the opening a few weeks so I need to give them credit for that. One of the newest and best experiences in east Fort Lauderdale. Very nice location with a parking garage a cross the street and valet parking in front of the Wharf! Made a reservation to go there on a Saturday early evening and there was a nice buzz, the places looked amazing. We were seated in the patio room with all those beautiful flowers everywhere...such a great concept. Perfect for instagram pictures! The lounge upstairs did not disappoint as well, music on point, full bar and great decor. The food was superb!! It's very hard to choose a favorite course, between the octopus, the burger, the beef Wellington they were all just delicious. the oxtail empanada was good but felt that the crust was a bit hard. The bone marrow had a nice touch with the onion bacon marmelade. The cocktails were delicious and there were quite a few to choose from. The charcuterie board only had one bread stick which was a little disappointing. The drinks downstairs at the bar and in the dining room were good, but the drinks upstairs were significantly worse. I feel like the restaurant is just trying to find its flow and train all the employees still, so giving them the benefit if the doubt with a 4/5. We checked out what all the hype was and it was definitely worth it! They have two main rooms and a lounge upstairs. We sat in the flower room, which was truly incredible! If you don't eat in that room, you should still definitely go see it. It's a great photo opportunity. We had drinks at the bar, while waiting for our table and they have a great drink menu! Our waitress was amazing and helped us course out the meal. For appetizers we got: arancini, octopus and oxtail empanadas. Some of the appetizer portions were small but enough to have a taste. I enjoyed two cocktails here last night. I encourage everyone to visit every bar and lounge as they are all special in their own way. I met a nice bartender while sipping on an espresso martini. I mentioned it was a little sweet and several of them offered to make me a new one. The young bartender while off duty got elder flower from another floor since they did not have it down stairs--it was for an off the menu drink she recommended, it was made with a very spicy tequila and had a kick, with blue glitter down the side. You muuuust love heat to drink this one. Both drinks were delicious and in an amazing atmosphere with really good music. I'd say try this new spot out if you want a Four Seasons caliber service with the vibes and ambiance to match. Beef Carpaccio - Very mayo forward leaving very little other taste to be enjoyed. Fries - just average nothing really to say here. Carrots - under cooked with a bunch of oil on them. Lamb - overcooked, with just not much taste to be had. Filet was just ok could have had the same thing at an outback with a less pretty view and price. Tortellini Mac & Cheese - was just missing that pop of flavor you would expect from such a dish. I can tell everyone there works very hard and does the best they can do but this meal just fell so far flat of the hype. After talking with a few people in the area it seems I am not the only one with this experience. This is going to be the craziest review ever. I'll start with a simple don't waste your time. I will move on to say Andrew was an amazing server with great knowledge of the menu and was very pleasant and informative. We also had the chance to meet Peter the manager and he was also very personable and helpful. Unfortunately I don't know why but we also had the displeasure to meet the "chef". So our dinner experience was going well, amazing service, amazing drinks, I will even say some really good appetizers. The hiccup comes in when we receive our main course. I ordered a Medium Rare Ribeye which is supposed to be featured item on their menu. This is a 16oz 30 day wet aged Ribeye to die for. The price point of $75 isn't to crazy but definitely would hold high expectations for this dish. Upon arrival to the table I noticed the side of my steak had already been cut into. What seemed to be a temperature check by the cook. My steak was served swimming in a brown sauce that over powered any aging process that had been previously attained. Once I cut into my steak I noticed it to be overcooked. At this point I asked my great sever if that was their standards for a MR as I know that can vary depending on the establishment. Andrew agreed at the moment that the steak definitely looked overcooked but that the lighting could be the issue. At this moment Peter (the manager) got involved and offer to take the steak back to fix it. To my surprise a few moments later Peter and the chef sporting a cool red "not today satin" cap approached the table. At this moment the chef tells me that the steak was cooked to perfection. I obviously disagreed and voiced my displeasure with the steak and even pointed out the poor cooking technique used as the steak was only cooked on one side. To which he responded "it's no way I can cook that steak to MR if I cook both sides." I was left in shock and for a loss of words at the moment, so I just said thank you chef have a good night. I have no clue why they thought letting this guy do a table visit was a good idea. He was set so high on his ego that he could not see the poor cooking skills. This place would have gotten a 5 star review had it not been for the want to be Gordon Ramsay of Ft Lauderdale. Crazy part all the other food was great! But this dude messed it all up by thinking he had the people skills to come and deal with guest. Big disappointment. We will not be back. read more

There was one other party when we got there (early-ish for dinner at 5:30) that were also celebrating a birthday. From the very start, we were treated like royalty! Ali, our server, made fantastic recommendations, was attentive and funny, and went out of his way to make sure me (and my friends) never wanted for anything. Both Chef Christopher and Chef Tommy came out to introduce themselves, wished me a happy birthday, and even sent a couple surprises out to make sure I celebrated in style! We went here for Valentine's Day, and I was excited to try it out. The pictures looked great. The actual experience, fair. First, $150/person for prix fixe dinner, which I'm fine with. But their portions were soo small. I had the hamachi appetizer, basically 3 slides of fish. I had the steak--smallest steak I've ever seen. And then, the chocolate cake dessert was nothing special but I ate it for sustenance. I'm had to have some turkey breast when I got home because I had not had enough for dinner. The waiter-- pushed us a couple Times for their "extras" including the $90 champagne flight and the caviar. I told him a couple times we didn't want them and he even asked my girlfriend if she wanted them. I don't like that move. We were not seated where requested and no effort was made to accommodate or acknowledge the celebration. Service was painfully slow from start to finish, yet somehow still felt inattentive. The food was mediocre at best and absolutely not worth the inflated prices. Aside from two individuals (one was sound chef and the GM who were lovely) everyone else was so disappointing. My friend found this gem on Instagram and decided to take me for my birthday. Upon entering the restaurant I was transported to a beautiful magical floral forest with trees scattered throughout the dining area. We were escorted to the rear dining area which was even more beautifully whimsical. Our server was Shaunice and she was fabulous. You are paying for ambiance as the food was definitely mid. Maybe we went on an off night but was not impressed for the prices. Tuna tartare was refreshing and sweet with light crispy chips, but was missing avocado mousse. When asking, server stated they must have ran out. Carrots/broccillini were like microwave veggies with no seasoning and garlic butter. Mushroom risotto was good with a nice touch balsamic reduction and little fried mushrooms were interesting. My friends got the Nutella espresso martini, which they said didn't taste like Nutella and nothing special. Salted rim, 5/10. Just order the normal one.
