I was feeling under the weather one night, so my boyfriend and I ordered two orders of pho for delivery. It was just broth, noodles, and a few shavings of meat. It's definitely just an OK spot. Compared to other pho places, this one is for sure lacking. However, it's really the only one in Magnolia that I know of without having to hop across the Ballard bridge where pho options are plentiful. When I just don't feel like driving, here I am. The portions are tiny and prices are not that cheap for what you get. The taste is simply ok, nothing to write home about and nothing too bad that I can't stomach it or won't come back to because it's close to home. I'm genuinely surprised by how many people rate this place higher because of the open veggie condiment bar. Green onions, yellow onion, bean sprouts, and basil cost next to nothing purchased by bulk, especially if they buy them from Asian grocers. i am so glad these guys are here. good pho, clean and local... they're keeping me and my girl alive. the wait can be a little longer than other pho joints, and they tend to run out of things late into the evening, but i can't fault them for that... they're little and indie, and i'd rather go to a place that cycles a lot of food through, instead of a place that has a massive 10 day stockpile of unfreshness. time for pho is fresh. oh yeah, the serve yerself bar gets a lot of attention in the rest of the reviews, and i'm all about it myself. it brings a bit of a korean barbecue element to it, and i love that. but i think the pho itself is really good, the chicken is thinly sliced, it's light and simple. i've tried a couple of their beverage concoctions, and they were way too something (strong, sweet, or something else) for me, but i'm sure they make other people happy. oh, and it's nice to be able to watch sportscenter and eat a quick meal. oh, and they are WAY nicer than the than brothers people. it's a magnolia winner. read more

Is this the best Pho I've ever had? Probably not, but it's easily in my top 5 pho spots in Seattle (I've been to over 30) and is WITHOUT question the best within a 5 mile radius of it. The broth is hearty and flavorful. I don't get tense shoulders from to much MSG. Having the condiments out buffet style is genius! (I love extra cilantro). And $6 for a small and $7 for a large is cheaper than average! One of the days perhaps I will try some of the other things on their menu but it's so hard to not get the pho when it is so good! read more

Food used to be OK. But now its just nasty. Beef pho has NO flavor, broth, noodles, even the beef. Even after heavy doctoring, it still tasted nasty. I finished my food because I was hungry and didn't want to waste food. Also ordered the chicken eggrolls, they couldn't be bothered to serve it the right sauce, they gave us some red chill sauce that looked kinda like ketchup. And they cut them in half so they let all the heat out of them. No sizing on plates its kinda a one size fits all. I will not be going back, EVER. I will drive across the city to my old neighborhood and my old pho place before I eat here again. read more

I'm giving this a 2 because I've had decent Pho here (bad ambiance though), but the Bubble Tea was the worst I've ever had. Apparently the only option was the slushy kind made with chalky tasting artificial flavoring, no tea at all, and the most disgusting tapioca ever. Also, the wait was at least 15 minutes. I randomly stopped in here because I was in the mood for Pho and didn't want to leave Magnolia. And I'm sure glad I gave it a try! I was a little worried at first, because it doesn't look super great from the outside, with their plastic banner and location next to a weed shop. However, inside, the decor is modern and very clean. The service was very friendly and with a smile. Prices are fair. I really liked the self serve toppings bar, however, some of the stuff didn't look super fresh (maybe because I was there on a Sunday evening - probably not the most traffic). The options were endless (jalapenos, sprouts, cilantro, onion, green onion, limes, and on and on...plus sauces etc). I will definitely come back here. :) read more

The pho hear is ok, but not spectacular. The buffet style fixings for the pho (bean sprouts, jaepnos, etc.) allows for one to get as much of the fixings as they would like, but also allows for others to dig in with their hands. Not 100% sanitary or fresh for that matter. I saw the woman before me dig her elbows accidentally into the fixings, leaving me to assume that this is a common occurrence. Also, I didn't like how they packaged the food when I asked for the pho to go. They stuff all of the fixings, including the noodles and meat into the box that you use for the fixings, leaving you with very little room. Best pho I've had ... period!!! The broth is especially tasty. The sprouts, onions, etc are served buffet style so the customer gets to choose how much is enough. Ever ask for extra "something" and get the "look"? Well not here..(Great idea!!!) It was refreshing to enjoy great customer service, great food at an affordable price (family of 5). The interior is great as well. Ever been to a pho place (won't name any) and changed your mind to takeout after your walk in? I was staying nearby and was excited to have a pho place somewhat close. However, the pho here is only ok. The broth had no depth or the aromatics that normal pho places have. I might even guess they used a pho mix for their broth? It wasn't clear or tasty, it satisfied my hunger for that meal but that was it. Let me start out by saying that I am half vietnamese, I LOVE pho!!! I recently moved to the area and decided to try it out since it was the closest to me....upon walking in I sat down and waited for a menu, after awhile it was brought to me with an attitude indicating that I was supposed to pick one up myself, there are no signs that say this...then you have to get up frm your table and go to the counter and prepay your food. They brought the pho to me with nothing but meat, noodles and broth and there is a sort of salad bar where you gather your own veggies on a plate and take them back to your seat and add them to your pho. Weird. Then I asked for tea and I was told that I had to pay 1.65 for some tea......NEVER in my life have I ever had to pay for tea at a pho house....it's tea for goodness sake! I wasn't brought any water, and I guess it was self-serve too, the nguoc mam was terrible, the pho was okay. To top it off, there was a tip jar on the counter....I love tipping, but what exactly am I tipping for here? Ridiculous. This place should post signs before you walk in indicating it's a do-it-yourself restaurant, at least I would know what I was getting myself into. I love this restaurant!! They have the best vegetarian Pho in town. I like the topping bar and that I can take as much as I want and don't have to share the basil or bean sprouts with anyone like at most Pho places. I would recommend this place to anyone. This is within walking distance from my house so I used to come frequently since moving to the area, but our latest visit will most likely be the last. The communication/service is lousy on Sunday's. I ordered us 2 veggie pho with tofu and veggie spring rolls at the counter with the man. When our food was brought we got only one pho and shrimps all over our spring rolls. So we had to order another pho and veggie rolls and wait longer. The spring rolls are bland and way too full of noodles and nothing else. Don't waste your money! There was a strange smell in the air that i think was urinal smell even though we weren't very close to the restrooms and a lot of big bugs flying around the dining area. While we were about to finish and getting ready to go the guy asks us if we are going to eat the shrimp spring rolls. I said no. We didn't order shrimp. We don't eat fish. Then he asked if we wanted to take them home with us. It's not my fault he got the order wrong. Making us feel like we are the ones wasting food. I wouldn't be surprised if they served them to someone else even though we did touch them and one had a bite in it. Also, I want to say, My second to last visit here while waiting for food I happened to look at my shoes and saw a meal worm or some sort of white worm crawling around. I was grossed out but tried not to be bothered. After yesterday's lunch I certainly won't be back unless I'm about to die. Me and my 3 roommates live right up the street from this place and we eat here 3 times per week. They do have good pho, but everything on the menu, teriyaki, fried rice, bun and just about everything else is some of the best I've had in Seattle. The owners and chefs are the nicest people ever. We recently gave Time 4 Pho a second try. We tried them close to when they first opened and were not impressed but thought maybe time had helped them to improve. After standing at the counter and ordering our food and drinks, we waited for our drinks to be served and eventually sat down at a table when they did not come. 15 minutes later, I wanted to ask if we could just open the fridge and grab them ourselves. They brought our drinks shortly afterwards. When our food arrived, my son told me there was a hair in his rice. I saw this and waited five minutes until I could tell the lady from the kitchen. She said, "It's your hair!" I replied that I hadn't even had the dish in front of me. She plucked the hair out of the rice and held it up and said, "It's not my hair!" Um, okay. She did replace the rice although nothing was taken off our bill. Besides the hair in our food - food quality was mediocre at best. We will not return. read more

This is my FAVORITE place for pho. The new owners have improved everything! One thing that always used to bug me is the extremely loud scraping of the chairs on the concrete floor. The new owners have put felt pads on the chair legs and now it's a very peaceful dining environment. Also, the food comes out very quickly. Previously I'd have to wait at least 15-20 minutes for my pho. Now I get my steaming bowl of tofu veggie pho within 5 minutes. I love that I can choose my own fresh toppings from the bar. The other plus is free water and free hot tea. The gentleman at the register remembers me and what I like to order. My companion always orders the spicy chicken teriyaki and it's a huge portion - no skimping going on here! We always leave full and happy for less than $20. read more

went there after the driving range. i wasn't that hungry, but i had a slight need for *something*, so i get some spring rolls. the non-deep fried ones. they were pretty good. squeeze some siracha sauce into the peanut sauce for some extra kick and it was great. sometimes when the peanut sauce come warm, and if the rolls are cold, it's a nice combination to bite into! the location is off my normal path when driving, but it's right on the path when riding my bicycle. i will try their pho next time. i right at 9 when they close, and they had no attitude with me. and a couple walked in 5min later, and they will got served too. the staff/owners seemed really nice. read more
