Just OK. i get it that its like the hometown store, and for this reason there is always a very long line. forget about it on the weekends. The workers are pretty friendly but i have a complaint. You give them your order, and then you have to repeat the order again to the cashier. Cant the person who took your order ring u up like a normal bagel store? Taylor egg and cheese came with literally 2 pieces of ham and 1 egg. What exactly did I pay for? Oh, when I ordered...I sat in their seating to wait. 10 minutes later I had to go ask where my sandwich was which they had sitting aside....terrible service, over priced and expired products....I'm assuming there isn't another bagel spot for miles if this place has that many good reviews. I'm always looking for a new bagel joint so I stopped in for a bagel and cup of coffee while I was out on the road. First time there. I was refused the ability to pay for an already toasted bagel and prepared cup of coffee with a debit card because I didn't meet their self-imposed $10 minimum for a card purchase. I didn't have any cash in my pocket and asked if they would make an exception since it was my first visit. A young woman who the cashier called over told me in her best valley girl voice "There's no way I can do that". Don't know if the bagels are any good or how the coffee tastes, but can say that the customer service is non-existent. I know it's a crazy new thing, these debit cards. The next place I stopped into was a bit more forward thinking. In the future, when in Morris Plains, even when flush with cash, I still won't have "Time For A Bagel". read more

Best bagels in the Morristown area hands down. I have been to here a few times since I moved to the area. On Sunday I was here and rang up a a charge of $9.19. This place has a $10 credit card minimum, but i didn't have cash. Because there was a line and I was in a rush, I told them to charge my card the $10 anyway. Well, the owner actually took me outside and gave me back that extra $1 I paid because he felt bad and explained why they had to start having a credit card minimum in the first place. These bagels are moist, chewy, and freshly boiled every morning. Asides from that, it's a regular deli shop and my rating comes from overall experience, rather than quality of food. It really deserves 3 stars for it's accessibility in the early hours. A happy alternative to Dunkin Donuts or McDonald's-this place will make you a sandwich at 5am! This is the best bagel place I have been to in my area. The bagels are amazing. I love getting a taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a bagel from here (or you can try a bagel roll, which is equally fantastic!) If friends are looking for a place to get a good bagel, I always recommend here. I've gone to other bagel places and been immensely dissatisfied. It can get WAY crowded on the weekend mornings, but that's only a testament to its quality. The long lines are worth the wait. Horrible experience and will not be coming back. Got two bagels and coffee. They were in such a rush and mess up my coffee order. Then they demand I buy more since my order was 8.50 because of their 10 minimum. Seriously? 1.50 that isn't up to their 10 minimum rule? Place look clean. Customer service felt unwelcome there. This is our go to place for a quick breakfast when we stay at our friends house in Morristown. The bagels are good and the breakfast sandwiches are pretty delicious. I absolutely love the bagels here! They are worthy of five stars. That being said, the owner and staff are super pushy and rude. Not sure why the owner is so grumpy because people adore the food he makes. I don't understand why he is so snippy and curt with the customers. The person who takes your order makes your food and this leads to inconsistencies. Even though you would think that this would help prevent mistakes, they still happen all the time. I'm a fan of the food at Time For a Bagel, but the service is disappointing. The last time I entered, I was reprimanded by a woman that works there who said that I could not park on the street in front of the place. She then insisted I move my car. In the time she spent yelling at me, I could have bought my bagel and been gone. But I was denied service until I moved my vehicle. So I left. And went elsewhere for a bagel. There are too many bagel/deli options for the staff to treat customers this way. These people need to be trained in customer service. read more
