I could eat the bread by itself and be completely satisfied with my meal. My wife ate the Gyro and loved it. My son got chicken strips and fries and they were some of the best chicken strips I've ever had. Yes I stole some of them. I believe the guy who took our order seemed to be an owner or something, but he was extremely nice and very helpful. If I wanted to be nitpicky, my only complaint is the seating area to be honest, wasn't the cleanest. The tables weren't really clean. The highchair was sticky and the place just needed cleaned. So it would be nice to see them possibly try to do a little deep cleaning that being said, I would highly recommend this deli. You won't be disappointed. There was a steady flow of carryout while we were there which I feel speaks highly of the restaurant and the food they serve. The price is a great value for the amount of food you get. If you're hungry when you come here, you won't leave hungry. They give you plenty of food. I was stuffed and couldn't eat anything the rest of the day. I would give this restaurant a five star if they would clean it up a little bit.

I recently stopped by after an appointment in STL. It was right at lunch time and it was also, opening day for the Cardinals. So when I entered, the line to order was already long. To my surprise, the one lady taking orders, moved that line quickly. So I give her major kudos. When it was turn to order, I was ready. I went with a Double and swapped out the American Cheese for Pepper Jack. For my side, I tried their Salt&Pepper Onion Rings. After ordering, I took my number stick and took a seat at the bar. Once seated, the bartender welcomed me and I ordered a draft beer. I barely had completed my Wordle and my burger basket was being slid in front of me. Before taking my first bite, I admired the crisp edges and actually ran my finger around them. My first bite was heaven. It proved to me that all a good smash burger needs is; ketchup, mustard, onion and pickles. The Onion Rings were made in house and the simple seasoning of Salt & Pepper made them a winner. While dining at the bar, I learned a new trick. If you're going to be sitting at the bar to enjoy your smash burger, you can order it from the bartender. That's right, no standing in line to order, you can go straight to the bar. Great staff. They all hustle and provide friendly and professional service.

Food: The burger? Excellent. One of my favorite smash burgers in the city. The fries? Just ok…read more Maybe it was an off day, but they didn't taste much different to me than a regular fry. Price: All together, with a dollar tip, I paid $27 and change, which to me is incredibly pricey for counter service. $2 for a dipping sauce is steep, and for a small container. Next time? I'd skip the dipping sauce and homemade lemonade to save $7. I'll be back but not running to pay this much again. The storefront: the direct out front, small parking lot was packed and people were going into the gated lot to find parking. Only one person working the counter when you first walk in which lead to a long line at the dinner rush that seemed to be moving pretty slow. We got in before the rush and got our food quickly after. Staff were kind and very helpful! Fairly clean with the food runners circling tables often to remove trash.

From the second we walked in, the guy at the front was extremely friendly and greeted us immediately, which set the tone right away. The food was beyond exceptional. The bread was phenomenal, the ingredients were incredibly fresh, and you could tell the meat was sliced thin and prepared with care. Everything tasted high quality and made fresh to order. The service was amazing from start to finish. Definitely one of the best sandwich spots I've had in a long time. Highly recommend!

This location is on the edge of Soulard near the brewery. It's a bar with another room with tables and a kitchen that serves Ninth St Deli. Ceci came to our table and brought menu's and chatted with us about the location. She was great, so enthusiastic about everything. She explained sandwiches and offerings and took our order. I got the pick two with half a hot sandwich and chili. The food came, and it was decent. I thought the sandwich could have used more chicken. The chili was ok, too. Ceci was so great she made the experience great.
