I scheduled an oil change for today, August 9, 2024 at 8 AM. Upon arriving at the business at 7:55 AM I noticed that the lights were out and the door was locked. The hours of operation indicated 7:30 AM to 7 PM seven days a week. I then proceeded to call their call center and after a brief hold, she was not able to get in touch with the service manager so I took my business elsewhere. Was told by Mavis I would need $2,100 in repairs to pass NYS inspection. A friend recommended Tire Choice and I was able to pass with $230. Andre and Mike also took the time to explain what needed to be done and why and what should be done in the future. The workmanship was great and timely. This Tire Choice location has my family's business. My wife and I have been back a few times and the experience, savings and speed have been the same each time. I just would not do business here again for several reasons. First reason is the sign in front of the business advertises $14.99 oil changes. I was charged $66.00. But when I presented a $10.00 off online coupon I was charged $53.00. I posted a photo as proof of false advertising. The customer service and professionalism here was lacking. There was no verbal detailed explanation of the service I was receiving. They just took my keys and said it would be a 45 minute wait. The waiting area was dirty and disgusting. Made an appt online for installation of 4 new tires. Called hour early and they sail I was all set. I showed up on time for appt and sat in waiting room while my vehicle stayed in parking lot for over an hour! Service manager said it was first come first serve. I asked what is point of making appointment? Regardless i left with no new tires due to other business obligations They dont realize value of appt is to let busy people schedule these things around other daily tasks including work. I have gone to Mr. Tire for many years, before it was Mr. Tire and Joe was the manager. Today was my last time. My last two experiences were less than acceptable! Last week I had scheduled an appointment for an inspection and asked for a time that I would be not waiting long. When I arrived I was told it would be at least an hour and a half to 2 hrs. Needless to say I left. The gentlemen behind the desk need customer service training. I was very disappointed and upset at my last appointment and this one pushed me over the edge. read more

If I could make negative stars I would've. Use to go to the one in Farmington and service was great, now live 5 minutes away from Greece location so i figured I would go to them now.... BIG MISTAKE. Failed both of my cars for inspection saying my windshield wipers where bad on both cars. I asked for the ones that they replaced back so i could look at them because I didnt notice anything wrong before. When I got them back the driver side one was torn almost half way, it's been raining and ive been using them it would have been obvious if it was even remotely that bad. I was in need of tires, an alignment, a battery, and an inspection so I went down the Ridge Rd. isle looking for quotes. I stopped at 4 different places including Firestone, Mavis, and Pep Boys (Advanced Auto for a battery quote and Wal-Mart the previous night). If you don't want to read the entire review, don't, just don't waste your time going anywhere but Mr Tire. I received the highest quality tires with the highest warranty (for my personal range), the lowest price/highest warranty on both my battery and alignment compared to all of the other stops I made - and this was without even telling Damon that I already made 4-5 stops so it wasn't even an undercut attempt. It was just simply the offer made. Damon helped me through the process - he is a bright spot in an industry plagued by poor customer service and deception. He was extremely knowledgeable, understanding, fair, and honest. He didn't push me to spend a single dollar more than I wanted and offered me options with an honest explanation. Your biggest fear of getting a call saying 'it looks like you need ____ also' never came for me, which is refreshing. I walked in looking for a quote at 12:30pm for a job that would take up about 3-4 hours with no interruptions. I informed Damon that I was off work at 5:00pm and will swing over after if they were able to finish it up. Even though they were busy both times that I was on site, my car was completed and waiting for me when I pulled in at 5:15pm. Damon actually called me at 5:02pm to inform me that everything was all set, and said that since I mentioned I was working until 5:00pm, he didn't want to bother me while I was working, and waited until after. Nice touch. I can't stress enough how exceptional Damon was throughout. His ability to manage his time and turnover all while offering a superior level of customer service was truly impressive. All things equal, Damon has earned my business moving forward. It's hard to find a franchise with the expertise needed, while not having to deal with the stereotypical games they play to increase revenue at the customer's expense (or by targeting the customer's lack of knowledge). For example, I was under the impression that I could get my state inspection done prior to registering my car (from IL to NY plates) so I asked the guy at one of the other places to add it to my quote. He said "sure no problem, that will be $21". Damon on the other hand said, "sure, we can do that, but it was be a disservice to you since the minute you register your car in NY, you will have to re-inspect the vehicle". Maybe a lack of knowledge from the 'other guy', but either way, Damon got it right. Example two. I went to one of the other guys, my quote for tires came out extremely high. I asked about some of the cheaper tires I saw online, and the representative said that they only post those tires to get people to walk into the store (so they can tell them not to buy them and upsell them) and that he wouldn't suggest those type of tires to his worst enemies. Good for him on the customer service side, not so much for the business side as far as deception. None of that with Damon. He gave me a quote and explanation for each of the tires in my range. I actually decided to upgrade last minute because I felt comfortable doing so. That's how you increase revenue. Very good, Damon. People, understandably, are more apt to voice their complaints. Even though most of the reviews are positive, still keep that in mind if you're using these reviews to make your decision. 5 of 5 all around. Cheers. read more

I needed an inspection and a coworker raved about the service she received at her local mr tire in Penfield. I decided to make an appointment at immune in Greece online. I did, received confirmation. I showed up to my 8:30 am appointment and walked into mr tire. The guy sitting behind the computer didn't even bother to look away from what he was doing until I got close and said I'm here for my appointment. He said I didn't have one...and I said I made the appointment online and showed him my confirmation..he said it was down and I told him I made the appointment yesterday morning with no issue. He then proceeds to tell me he had 20 appointments and no time for me. Didn't even look at me, didn't offer an apology, didn't offer me another time. Just wanted me out of there. So I called mavis and went there without an appointment. Needless to say, mr tire will not be getting any business from me. Way to rock your business, Matt. read more

Brought our car in for 4 new tires and an oil change after receiving a quote over the phone. Dropped vehicle off at noon and was told it would be a couple of hours. Called after 3 hours for an update and was told it would be another hour. Ok, not the end of the world. Go to pick it up and the price they wanted to charge us was almost $100 more than the quote we received. Oh and they never did the oil change despite the fact that we mentioned it 3 times to them. Once when making the appointment, again when we dropped it off and lastly when I called to check on the car. Won't be returning to Mr. Tire. read more

I took my car in for an oil change. When I pulled out of the parking lot I noticed that the low oil light was on. I thought it must have been a malfunction since I just paid for new oil to be put in. When I got home I decided to check the stick to make sure and it was completely dry! THEY DRAINED THE OLD OIL BUT DID NOT PUT ANY NEW OIL IN! I put a quart in so I could get to and from work the next day. I called the shop and was told to bring it back in after work. When I brought it back I was then lied to by the tech who told me that there was confusion as to how many quarts to put in, claiming that three quarts were put in instead of five. This is false because after I put a quart in myself after seeing how dry the stick was my low oil light was no longer on in the dash. If three quarts had been put in the light would have never showed to begin with. Again, the oil stick and engine were completely dry, zero quarts were put in, and I was charged for five. I'm lucky nothing blew out in my engine because driving home I heard grinding noises under the hood. I was reimbursed by getting the oil I originally paid for (thanks) a half-hearted apology, and a "free next oil change" scribbled on the back of a business card (barely readable) DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! read more

Probably one of the worst places I've ever been to. Lie to you about damage car claiming it was previously there when they're only covering for carelessness and inexperience. Simply 45 min job turned into a 2 day job, and the job wasn't even done correctly! If you call to voice these concerns, you're rudely cut off by a condescending "manager" telling you you're wrong. Choose one of the other 6 car shops on ridge and let this terrible place die out. read more
