New to the area and had two nails in my tires. So i did my research for a tire shop. Reviews everywhere was pretty bad so i just took a risk on Tire Choice with them being the closest to me, so in my head if they take too long i can atleast walk home. Well that wasnt needed l, came in told them my issue. They told me i was next car up. Staff pulled me out lobby to speak on the nails in my tire situation...great update , moving fwd , was done with my truck within a hour. But the mechanic notice my tire sensors wasnt working, i told him my dealership messed them up everytime one by one till none was working but offered me $160 ewch for new tire sensors so i declineand just been riding worried for weeks with nails...he then asked would i like to check them & i agreed. Came back telling he got 3 back to working and one was completely gone which i knew already so there we built trust & told me the cost was $79 for a brand new sensor . Lets do it! First, I'd like to start with the one (and only) positive thing I have to say about this location - Elvan (sp?) was great and the only person in this shop that actually seems to care. Now, on to the rest of the experience. I brought my car in 10.10.17 just to have some new tires put on. They were special orders due to being run-flats, and I gave the staff there a heads up that the rims were painted. They acknowledged this and assured me that this was a non-issue. Fast forward two days to when I get the call that the vehicle was ready. I call an uber and go to pick up my car when I noticed that EVERY rim was chewed up around the edge and stripped of paint. I notified the staff and their response was that this kind of thing "just happens" with run-flats and is to be expected. I brought up the fact that I had notified them in advance and called out the person I spoke with that assured me everything was going to be fine. It was at this point they advised me to "just pay" and we'd "work it out" over the phone with their GM, Carl the next day. With the grand total being $1416.58, I felt a little uneasy "just paying for it", refused to pay and left the vehicle there. The next day I received a call from "Carl" that they would take care of the rims and would be in touch. The following day (Sunday 10.15), I received a call that the damage had been fixed and I could pick it up. Another uber trip later (we're on the 4th trip for those keeping track) I get to The Tire Choice and not only is the car not outside ready, it's back up on the lift. When I ask what was happening, I was shown that while they did indeed fix the rear tires, the front ones were still damaged and it would be another day - at this point I'm at least starting to know the uber drivers in the area as I AGAIN had to get another ride home. It was at this point that Elvan noted my experience thus far in addition to the multiple uber trips and stated that he would put this in front of "Carl" (who evidently is the only individual there that can adjust prices) for some kind of restitution. On to Monday (10.16) - another day, another uber ride to The Tire Choice. The car is waiting, is ready and I am presented with my bill - a bill that has been adjusted by $46.00, I again refuse payment since this amount doesn't even cover the amount of all the ubers I've had to take when I was told the car was all set and ready to go (multiple times). I am assured again that "Carl" will call me the next day and make this right as I get into my uber for the evening. Tuesday 10.17 - Carl calls to assure that he's "doing the best he can", and "understands my frustration". He will work on the issue during the day and will meet me at 5:30PM for delivery and we will make this right. When my uber of the day arrives @5:27, I am told that "Carl" left for the day and that everything should be taken care of. I receive my bill, see that nothing was changed and am asked to pay the full amount. At this point I have been without the vehicle for 7 days - a full week. For new tires. I am beyond upset and am told that "it is what it is", and that basically they were done dealing with me and that if I wanted my car back - I was to pay the full price. I ask to speak with Carl, if they could phone him or offer any option to get this resolved tonight (after I was promised he would be there at 5:30 waiting for me to "make this right") and am told that I could call tomorrow morning, or swing in and talk to him in person as he's usually only there until 5pm. When I explained that was when I worked until I was told that "maybe I should leave work early if I really wanted to take care of this". It was at this point that I reminded them that I was the customer here - and besides, I had ubers to pay for. Being that my vehicle is now being held hostage, I reluctantly paid as I didn't want to go another week without my car. Which brings me to this letter/review/cautionary tale. I can assure you that The Tire Choice on Big Bend will NEVER see my business again and I would share this story with my friends, neighbors, strangers, yelp, and whomever will listen. Previously I had a good experience with the folks here when they fixed a punctured tire 30 minutes before closing however this time they have lost my service. I had punctured the sidewall of my tire with a nail and brought the whole wheel in for a tire replacement. Lucky for me they had a tire in stock that was similar to what was mounted on the other wheels. I dropped it off and expected them to give me a call the next day and have me come pick it up. However it took 6 days for them to call me and tell me my wheel was ready, in fact when 3 days went by I called to ask on the status and they told me they would give me a call later that day. They never returned my call. Once I came to the shop they mounted my wheel on for me replacing the spare which was appreciated however it didn't take long for me to realize whoever mounted the tire to my wheel needs a new profession. Once I noticed the damage I brought it up to the manager politely and he told me that there's nothing they could've done and the paint was peeling. Tough luck. I don't have an exact before and after but I will post a pic of the wheel they scratched vs another wheel on my car. Don't go here for new tires if you like your rims. read more

I initially had an issue with my power steering and AC I go in to get it serviced. I just paid for the AC and a week later my engine starts making a noise and the bottom of my car is leaking more than it did before. I tell him this when I bring the car after having the noise in my engine he takes a look at it and calls me hours later. He tells me it's just the power steering and to get stop leak from a store. I come and pick up my car and a few days later my check engine light comes on. When you get a diagnostic from these guys the excuse they will give you if any other issue comes up besides what they look at is" we go off what you tell us" what's the point of a DIAGNOSTIC im not the mechanic the point is to thoroughly check and find any other issues. The manager at the front was condescending acting as if I'm a rude customer because they didn't do a good job checking for issues. My husband just got back from trying to get a flat fixed. The gentleman at the counter asked for my husbands phone number and when he went to enter it in the system could not find it. He then insisted my husband provide a different phone number which my husband did not have. He then went on to say that we were not in the system and my husband asked him, so what do you want me to do. I don't have another number. He responded in an aggressive, threatening tone "are we going to have an attitude?" My husband responded with a puzzled look. He then proceeded to stare my husband down which made it seem like physical confrontation would ensue. My husband, said "hey this isn't an FBI investigation"! I just wanna get my flat tire fixed. He looked at him and said we're not gonna go there are we? At which point my husband said thank you and walked out! The gentleman was extremely aggressive and my husband removed himself from the situation as to avoid any further issues. We are now FORMER customers and will no longer be using their services EVER and would not recommend anyone using their services as it seems it is a matter of safety. This is completely unacceptable! They have you sign paperwork just to "look" at your tire to see what they can do with your third party warranty. That's a little unsettling they don't even tell you what you are signing for... but basically signing that any damage done to your car isn't their problem. Not to mention they were rude because of my gender and because I was in a wheelchair. It was going to take a couple hours to even look at my car even though my appointment was for a set time. ZERO STARS FROM ME The Tire Choice 7015 US Highway 301 S, Riverview, FL I had shocks and struts put on and then it my van made terrible noises after. I brought it back three times to no avail. I was laughed at when I started getting frustrated. Long story short. Monroe owns them. I spoke to customer support. I sent them pics of the damage of the improper installation of rear shocks. Monroe wouldn't do anything to help, even though the mechanic was fired a few days after I got ripped off. I ended up paying another mechanic and having to buy one new shock (a hole mechanic bent it and bracket) so it costs me double. Way to go on the Customer Service, Josh the manager was very helpful in finding me replacement rims that they had to get from Tampa because they were factory and used...and being honest with a reasonable quote in getting new tires. The rest of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They had a deal going on buy 3 tires get one free, so that is great ! The reason I gave them 5 stars though is because my husband works nights and my van was not done until around 7 pm and I was not going to be able to pick it up until the next day.....well they dropped off my van at my front door, based on my circumstances and the fact that I only live 5 miles away. Now that is customer service and going out of their way ! I would for sure go here again, they are very honest and care about their customers. Way to go guys ! read more

I still have not forgotten about this incident and still planning on moving forward somehow. I went to the tire choice on 3/15/21 - Originally I went in because my car was shaking and needed to figure out the issue that was causing it. They asked me questions about what the car was doing and automatically said that I needed an alignment. I left the car up there to get the alignment. 8 hours later- they call me back and tell me that the two back tires is what's causing the shaking- so to stop the shaking I need to get two new back tires replaced that totaled $256.08 . When I got my car back at CLOSING time- I started riding home and noticed the car was shaking extremely bad still. I go back up there and they did a test drive with my car- they then said "oh, that's not your tires. That's your motor mounts". The mechanic then had me stand in front of my car to show me that the engine was moving. He told me to hold the hood up while he puts the car in drive and press on the gas while the car had the emergency brake on. The car did NOT have the emergency brake on- in fact, he ended up HITTING me with my own car. Resulting in my legs hurting. By the way, I have two witnesses who saw it happen. I couldn't get my old tires back because they were technically closed at this time. I call the next morning to get my old tires back since that wasn't the issue that was causing the shaking. The store manager Carl said he needed to speak with his supervisor to see if that was possible. 3-4 weeks later, still no call from Carl. I called back up there trying to get ahold of them. The Jamaican guy Erin or Ervin (something with an E) was saying "Jesus Christ" because I kept calling everyday to speak with the manager. I finally get ahold to Carl and he says that can't do anything because my tires were bad so that's what probably caused the shaking. Mind you, my car was shaking the same exact way with the new tires they allegedly put on. The manager told me that he can't refund per the district managers instructions- he then proceeded to say, they have pictures of my old tires- when in fact, he told me that the tires were thrown out the next morning so how does he have pictures of them??? I also then told him that his mechanic hit me with my own car, he proceeds to talk over with me, getting loud/ yelling at me. The mechanic even apologized for hitting me with the car!!! This place is unbelievable. Also, the motor mounts they said that was causing the shaking, yeah that wasn't the issue. I took it to another mechanic and it was something totally different. A waste of money at this place. Very poor management and customer service. I will never return. I would like my return for the improper diagnostic from the mechanic that caused me to spend $256 with your company and it did not resolve my issue with my car that I originally went in for. read more

Terrible. Just terrible. Took my car for a routine oil change less than a week ago. Then, my 'check engine' light comes on randomly. I take it in to find out the issue, but also try to understand why it occurred AFTER I left with no explanation given. They keep my car for over an hour to tell me that two small clasps that keep the muffler together need to be replaced at a staggering $739.00 with tax!! With more than half the cost attributed to labor! Honestly, you could go anywhere else and not get estimates at a third the cost of not more and you may even get an honest answer! They actually took the time to show me everything that they were explaining, illustrated the evidence of why I needed new tires so soon. If I could give them zero stars I would. Oil changes are unreasonably priced. They charge you $40 to check the engine then don't notice that a piece of plastic is wedged in next to the serpentine belt. Customer service is terrible and rude. They tell you that you need to buy all these things and none of them are needed. I understand upwelling but if you try to sell me something that isn't going to fix the actual problem at hand, you are covering your own ass instead of helping the customer! WARNING! DO NOT ever go to The choice and total car care in riverview on big bend road . Last week as I was driving my engine light came on and vehicle was starting to overheat, so I pulled into the nearest car shop I could find. Unfortunately I ended up at a place that wanted to rip me off big time . After waiting in the office for an hour with a cranky and hungry 4 year old the man working the front desk and his workers finally came into the waiting room . He asked me if I want the good news or bad news first ... which He didn't have any good news . He told me my vehicle needed 6700 dollars in work done to it. I asked him how this is possible ??? I just had my vehicle fully inspected months prior before moving here from Canada . He just said there was a leak and all my coolant had leaked out , which pretty much caused all these other issues . I just felt sick to my stomach ... my vehicle had been running completely fine until this day , and I brought it in as soon as the engine light came on . I had him print off a list of the issues with my vehicle and told him I would be calling around other dealerships . He said other places will not do as a good a job as they will ... HA yah . I immediately called around and left messages with several car shops . I had so many ppl call me back saying this quote to fix my vehicle was insane !! Even if all the things he said were wrong it should not cost that much to fix . SO I had my vehicle towed to a tow he car ship a few miles down the road . I could not believe it when he called me and told me all I needed was a new radiator and would be 500 in total for that and the labour . I am attaching pictures to this post of both shops ... what The Tire choice said needed to be fixed and the other shops final bill..... The fact that someone would try and take advantage of a woman with her young child makes me sick .. I was almost in tears . PLEASE share this !! Let ppl beware how much of a scanner this guy is ... If you're a woman or not a car person don't go here. Their price gouging is ridiculous. For two tires only be mounted and balanced they wanted to charge me over 275 bucks, not including the price for tires. When I told the guy that price was insane he tried to back peddle and said he could "talk to his manager" to see what he could do. He then asked what I would be comfortable paying. I told the guy I may be a woman but I grew up in a garage and wouldn't pay more than 35 bucks for basic installation. He got red in the face and again tried to see what he could do. I told him not to waste his time and walked out. I'm now at Kauffman Tires less than a half mile away they only charge 17 bucks for installation. I will never set foot in that place again. read more

In August of 2018, we took one of the cars there for an oil change which included an an overview of the car. The car was shaking in the front when you put on the brakes which was happening before I bought it there. They told us there were no problems but I notice that the shaking was the same. We took it back 2 weeks later and that's when they told us we needed brakes and rotors all around. When asked about this, the manager said they put the brake specifications on the invoice and they cannot tell what will happen in the future. However when I called the corporate office to complain they didn't even see that on the invoice. Brakes are a safety issue please beware when going to that shop for service. read more

Tire choice on big bend in riverview. They did damage to my rim when putting a new tire on my new 2018 Cadillac. They wanted my husband to drop and leave the car. I would never leave my car with them or even let them touch my car again. So if you love your car I would take your car some where else. Awful experience and over priced. Will tell you anything to avoid fixing their poor work. Had wheel hub assembly replaced. A month later took back because of clicking noise coming from same area. They said it's not the issue and nothing's wrong. Research shows clicking is a sign of a failing hub. Now hub is completely bad and Now over warranty and they had the nerve to ask to fix it. I was at this place awhile back. I've told everyone I know how bad the service was. They broke a lug nut off of a 1 year old truck, did not even rotate the tires (was on the service record), and the alignment made my truck turn left while the steering wheel was straight. I had a nail in my right rear tire of my new 2021 Nissan Sentra. I went to tire choice on Saturday, they told me they would order a new Michelin tire on Monday and call me to have it put on my car that day. I never heard from the store on Monday, so I called and was told to bring my car to the store after noon. I drove my car to their store on Big Bend in Riverview Florida with the donut on the right rear tire. It only took them 15 minutes to put the new tire on my car. I left a very happy customer. However my tire pressure indicator was still flashing on my dashboard. When I clicked on the tire air pressure indicator, it showed three tires at 35 pounds each and the new tire at 61 pounds. I thought it had to re-calculate so I left the parking lot and drove to Sam's. After I shopped at sam's , i started the car and the tire pressure still showed three tires at 35 pounds and the new tire at 61 pounds. I drove back to the tire store and told the gentleman inside what my dashboard was reading. He told me to pull it into the stall and he would check the pressure on the tires. He did find that three were at 35 pounds and the new one was at 61 pounds. He then relieved the pressure in the new tire till it reached 35 pounds. It's a good thing my dashboard indicated there was still an issue and I also went back to the store.I highly recommend if you have any service performed at tire choice you double check to make sure everything is correct before you leave the parking lot. If I had not gone back to the store and had the tire pressure relieved I can only imagine what kind of problems could've occurred with the poundage at 61 instead of 35. read more

I normally hate/dread going to car places because I always feel like I'm going to get ripped a new one. This time, I only needed to get tires balanced. They quoted 60-75 minutes for a wait time, and it was right around 60. Took another 45 minutes or so to balance my 4 tires. Only reason for 4 stars is they apparently misplaced my paperwork, so customers that came in after got to go ahead. But hey, stuff happens right? They were exremely friendly and their prices are fairly standard. If you live in the area, this place is definitely recommended. read more

I've been going to this Tire Choice for almost 3 years now. Each time I've gone, the experience is nothing but fantastic. The manager is simply fantastic! He remembers me everytime I come in and always asks how my family and I are doing. My husband is military and if I go in when he happens to be gone, they always offer a sympathetic shoulder and some good laughs to cheer me up. Their service is always great and if I don't understand something they will explain it to me until I do. I've gone in for oil changes mostly but my husband car has been in for other things and they are always great with pricing and time management. The mechanics have come out to talk to me a time or two and are incredibly nice (I left my stereo volume up high and forgot to turn it down, I felt horrible). I've recommended this Particular TireChoice to friends and family and I refuse to go anywhere else. Simply put, the people here feel like family and I'll be really sad to leave when the military eventually reassigns us to another area. read more

Wish I could give them no stars. We Over a year ago we were on vacation down there from Michigan and had car issues. We waited over two hours to be told that our whole front brake system needed to be replaced. Of course we said go ahead and fix it and we asked that they not use premium parts or give us any warranty cause we are not from there. Guess what they did? They put those premium parts on and lifetime warranty and charge us a for it. I asked them to take them off and put standard parts on but they refused. All the guys we talked to there were very rude and condescending, not to mention they also messed up some other people's cars when we were there. Eventually I gave up the argument with them so I could try to enjoy my vacation, but it's a year later and I have to get all those "premium" parts replaced. My husband called them to see what they could do and basically told us that we can't be helped because we are in Michigan and didn't go to their shop. Well we constantly told them we are from out state a year ago and didn't need all the bells and whistles. Now they are giving us the run around and won't take the time to help us. I hate auto shops like this that prey on vacationers and visitors and charge them twice as much for everything. read more

Told me I needed a steering service on my car . My car has a complete electric steering no fluids or matinence required they tryed to charge me 90 dollars to do nothing thank god for google phone. I believe they were trying to take advantage of me because I am a young women.
