Friendly and honest staff. I came in for an alignment and I left with an alignment. (As a female that's most of the time impossible to say) I had other issues present, that I made them aware about when I brought my car in, and they confirmed what I needed to have done, but didn't try to corner me into getting it done this day and helped confirm specifically what I needed, so I could get it done, either with them, or somewhere else. Blowout happened to me on I95 early one morning. I was about 20 minutes from the house on my way to work. I was able to drive my car back to the house at a speed of 20 mph. I was trying to remember where I brought my tires and to see if the warranty was good. We were told we had a warranty but actually was had some sort of protection plan. We saved $75 on the tire that decentgraded like sand. Good service and we're apathetic to me not getting Tire Kingdom at the appointed. Time. Requested a flat tire checked. Told 20 mins to check it. An hour later all 4 tires are off. I didn't ask for a full inspection nor was told one would take place . Than tried to be sold on other items . I was told there was a " hole " in my tire. No other explanation. No showing me what was in my tire . Whatever, just replace it but out of disgust for the business will not be back and dealing with the other issue they claimed will go elsewhere. Watched mechanics stand around, working slow. I went in last Saturday 6/25/17 for an oil change and they destroyed my car. I now have a check engine light, a master warning light, and a check hybrid system. What they hell did they do to my car. It also bucks as you drive it. I wouldn't allow this company to bag my groceries safely!!! Update 10/1/18...I just had to replace the oil pan that was previously replaced in 2017 at this Tire Kingdom. The oil pan that Tire Kingdom replaced it with did not fit my car so the drilled extra screws to keep it in place. Needless to say this cost me over $850 in repairs and I didn't have my car for 2 days. They nearly destroyed my car. read more

When I say never, I mean NEVER BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS LOCATION. I brought my forester in and the slick talking manager assured me that they could fix my truck's rattle at highway speeds, after leaving it with them for the day ,not only did he charge me for and fix unnecessary parts, the problem remained. When I watched the manager yelling at a customer, I should've left then. They only upsale you and poorly guess at your repairs, they are unskilled, arrogant and try to talk to you like a child when you have concerns. The manager lies to get you to spend more money than you need and won't even offer a refund, a discount or anything towards the work you never asked for. Crooks in the worst sense. read more

Through the past 15 years I have bought several sets of tires for my three vehicles. One morning I found a small nail in the tire of my car. To save time I removed the tire and took it in for repair. Upon arrival, I found it odd that it wasn't very busy. Maybe my encounter is a clue as to why. As I entered the office, I was greeted first with silence, then with a, "What do you want?". I said that I had a tire that needed a puncture repaired and that I had purchased the tire there, and I had the receipt. As he looked at the tire he immediately told me in a condescending way that the nail was too close to the sidewall and that that the tire was too old for repair. Of course he'd sell me a new tire, but not repair this one. He actually went into a rant about his integrity and experience and that he doesn't work on tires that are too old for anyone. OK, I get it! The lawyers are now getting into tire repairs, but this car is usually driven on a limited basis and not on highways. There was plenty of tread and the sidewalls were not dry-rotted, but now we're worried about liability. Being a retired auto tech, I've gained experience over my 50 year career and I knew that the nail wasn't too close to the sidewall. Once I questioned his opinion, then came the deal where it's too old. Come to find out, the nail didn't puncture the tire at all once I removed it. The nail was more like a very short tack, but I didn't want to remove it so that the puncture's location would stay intact for the service tech. The tire didn't have a puncture. After being a customer and account holder of Tire Kingdom on San Jose for many years, this employee in just a few intimidating words ended my relationship with these people. I personally don't see how they stay in business with the attitude that they have toward customers and the lack luster performance from the shop that I had observed through the years. Hell, they're not even open on Wednesdays! I found out the hard way as I thought that this was a week-day where these kinds of businesses are open. The only reason that I chose Tire Kingdom in the first place was convenience. I was willing to take the so-so service, but not a smart mouth from some jerk. read more

Team was great - informative, respectful, and focused on what was best for me, the customer (didn't try to upsell me services I didn't need). My tire pressure warning light has been on for a while and I knew the cause is my very old spare tire that could not hold the necessary tire pressure. I scheduled my appointment online and chose the tire (just one) that I wanted to replace my spare. Arrived a little early to make sure the tire I selected was in the store (guys at the shop rely on a good manager to plan for all the necessary supplies) - and the tire was there. The gentleman who checked me in for my appointment asked about the tire pressure lights and possible sensor issue. I explained briefly the saga around that issue and why I was 100% confident it is not the sensor. He actually listened to me and did not try to mansplain cars, tires, and pressure sensors to me. My car was in the bay exactly at the start time of my appointment- I decided to wait for the service to be completed. In roughly 30 minutes I was checked out, had new spare tire, warning light off, and I was on my way. Thank you for a great customer experience! read more

I've not yet picked up my Malibu that my mother and I brought in but the work is getting done as we speak. We had brought the car in wanting to look into the brakes as it had been a long time since they had been serviced. Jennifer ended up getting back to us and she was fantastic. Great at answering our questions, giving us options and letting us know the rundown of the situation. They could have attempted to take advantage of us but they were honest with the situation and didn't try to sell us anything or tell us that something was unfixable and that we needed to buy some expensive new part like new rotors, calipers etc. THAT IS A BIG DEAL. Most people literally have to trust their mechanics implicitly. That's why a lot of shops have a bad stigma to them, they know they can hugely take advantage of their customers and that they typically won't get a second opinion and will pay whatever their mechanics tell them to. Anyway, we appreciate the honesty. We are definitely going to come back if the work was done well when we pick up the car in just a little. These guys take care of my vehicle and my fleet vehicle and I always get outstanding customer service. My wife had always used another shop but she just became a fan too. Last week she picked up a steel bar in her tire and came in for a repair. They removed the steel bar, told her the hole could not be patched and she would need a new tire. Then the manager told her she might check at Goodyear (where we bought the tires) to see if there was a road hazard warranty. Yes, there was! They then put her spare tire on so she could drive down the road to Goodyear. The pro-rate for the new tire was $22. This shop could have easily sold my wife a new tire but instead they did the "right thing", saved us $130 and won over another customer. Needed a quick lube/oil/filter and a rotate and balance before a 5 hour trip the next morning. Late in the afternoon, I called Tony and he said to drop it off; they were pretty busy but they would get it knocked out that afternoon before closing. Dropped off the car without a hitch. I'm always leery of mechanics after some bad experiences I've had, so I got the exact charges for all the services I'd requested. Got a call from Tony a little later to tell me the car was ready. No pushy upsells, and no unwanted or unneeded services or parts. In fact, I noticed the total was lower than I expected. Seems there was a minor goof and they missed doing the wheel balancing. Tony apologized and went way above and beyond to make it right, without even a complaint from me. Great experience from a very courteous and professional staff. The guys are great. I was visiting JAX from Miami and I needed to remove my wheels spacers from my VW. I had a terrible vibration and did not want to ride home 360 miles like that. I went to 2 - Tires Plus locations and Firestone and they refused to help me. It was not easy since the spacers fused to the hub but they got them off and allowed me to get back home with the vibration. Dropped quite a bit of money here gettin tune up as well as 4 new tires. They had my wife go buy the parts for a tune up. About 2 weeks later, car running horrible. Take it back and they start spitting out "potential" problems saying its gonna be $600+ to fix. He says or he can do it on side for $400. I said no and took it to other side of town to a friends shop. He said that he replaced a coil(supposed to have been done during tune up) and that the check engine light had been rigged to come on. The store manager Charles Palanza did a great job and kept me very informed throughout the whole process.When a problem arose with finding the proper part for my vehicle he did everything in his power to make sure it was taken care of that day. Save yourself and go to Tires Plus. One star is too many for this shoddy operation. I booked an appointment online Sunday morning for mid-afternoon to buy a full set of tires, including spare for my son's car. He was driving on a spare, which developed a bulge in the tread. I considered this an emergency. So, I showed up at the appointed time and walked into the office, to be greeted by an employee. He looked at me and asked what I needed. I replied that I had booked an appointment online to buy tires. He looked at me and curtly said, "We can't do it". I asked why and he said their balancer was broken. I looked at the garage, full of cars, and asked how they were replacing tires, to which he replied something about taking them down the street somewhere, implying I was not worth that effort, then saying, "that's what you get for booking online". Well, I am sorry for using your service model, Tire Kingdom guy. I provided my phone number and email address, but I guess it is easier to make me come in to find out you are not honoring your commitment and do not value me. Tires Plus on Bartram Park was happy to have me and fit me in one hour before closing and sold me five new tires plus an alignment. Those guys rock! Go over there and buy some tires from Colby. No, I have no affiliation with Tires Plus...the above story is 100% true. Tire Kingdom will NEVER get a penny from me. All they had to do is call or email and treat me with respect, but I expect too much and it is my fault they suck. read more

We are in Jacksonville to visit our daughter who recently moved here. We came out to leave the house this morning and our tire was nearly flat. We saw that there was a galvanized nail in the tire so we went looking for a place to have the tire plugged. We dropped our car off at Tire Kingdom and came back to pick it up a few hours later. The female employee at the counter was very sweet and engaging. She was a great example of customer service. When we walked in to pick up the car, the lady behind the counter just handed us the keys. When I asked how much I owed, she smiled and said that they weren't charging us. What an awesome blessing! It is tough to have unexpected expenses when you are traveling. I am new to living in this area. I usually just change my own oil. I went here because basically it was cheaper than doing it myself. Expecting to have high pressure upsellign like some of these places do. I let them know I was just here to get my oils changed. They rotated my tires, as well as fixed a slow leak I had.
