What a way to start off your weekend! Discovered a very flat-to-the-rim tire on hubs truck! Waaaaaaahhh! Called Tires Plus to see if they had the proper tires in stock & they did, Yaaaay! & they gave me an estimate. Roadside assistance provided the required flat bed tow truck & towed the vehicle. Tires Plus changed the tire, price was as quoted over the phone so no surprises AND no hard sells either, & was in & out in a jiffy on a Saturday afternoon! Service was polite, friendly & efficient making me a very happy customer.

    Failed patch

SCAMMERS!! Stay away from this shop if you value honesty. Instead of just telling me they tried to patch my tires, they told me they couldnt work on them. I went ahead and took the whees of the car because they gave it back to me leaking more air than i had dropped it off. I found that instead of them not working on the wheel like they said, i fould 3 failed patch jobs which ruined the new set of tires i had. Manager got on the phone and just couldnt understand the situation and asked me to bring it back---- no thanks!

This place has gone down hill over the years. Set an appt, arrived on time, rep told me it will be ready in an hour. I walked around Annandale for an hour. Came back only to see my car wasn't even touched! What's the point of setting an appt and telling the customer 1hr after they hand you the keys if you aren't going to do the work? They asked if I would like to reschedule. Like I would ever come back here again after you wasted an hour of my time. Let alone have not even having the common courtesy of calling the customer to tell them.

They scratched my rims replacing my tires. They need to completely eliminate the scrathes or they need to buy me new rims.

The term "honest auto mechanic" is usually an oxymoron, as it's virtually impossible to find an…read more"honest auto mechanic" these days. So-called, "ASE certified mechanics" at the STEAL-erships are more part replacers rather than, technicians. These "mechanics" just take their fancy tablets/scan tools, and after plugging into your car's ODB port, spout off some diagnostic codes with parts to replace leading to hundreds if not thousands of dollars in "repairs." Thanks to Yelp and always trusted Yelp friend, Hannah H, I was guided to Hillbrook Automotive several years ago and have been coming ever since. The owner, Mr. Choi, is well-known in the Korean community for being an experienced mechanic, and more importantly HONEST when it comes to your auto repair needs. While Hillbrook Automotive' s clientele may be predominately Korean, over the years I've been coming here, I've noticed folks from all races, creeds, and socio-economic classes take their vehicles to be serviced by Mr. Choi and his team of skilled mechanics. A sure sign that of a garage does honest and good work, is (1). How busy it is and (2). the type of cars they work on. At Hillbrooke, I've seen not only the more common Hondas, Toyotas, etc. being worked on, but it's not uncommon to find higher-end vehicles like Mercedes, BMWs, Lexus, Acuras, in the garage bays. If folks with these high dollar vehicles come to Mr. Choi for service, that speaks VOLUMES. I've even witnessed a few times where people who live in MD will have their cars TOWED here, because they know Mr. Choi will do good work and at a fair price. According to a 2023 report from credit agency Experian (https://www.nerdwallet.com/article/loans/auto-loans/average-monthly-car-payment), the average car payment is $729 for a new vehicle and $528 for a used car...ouch! It's no wonder that many Americans are opting to keep their cars for longer and keep driving it, until the figurative "wheels fall off." My front brakes needed replacing, and just out of curiosity since I had one of those STEAL-ership coupons in the mail, I took my car to get a quote. After nearly spitting out the "free" coffee, I said thanks, but no thanks, and wouldn't you know that Mr. Choi was able to install new rotors and brakes pad for $700 cheaper than big-box STEAL-ership?!?! Just a few things to keep in mind if you take your vehicle here for service: * The parking lot is small (since there is also a gas station here). So after pulling in and finding a parking spot, look for or ask for Mr. Choi. Provide him with a brief description of work you need, and he'll take your phone number to call you after diagnosing the issue. Note: It can be very chaotic in the morning during peak drop off time, and also don't be surprised if you have to wait some time to speak with Mr. Choi. He'll be easy to spot since all the staff wear name tags, and he'll be the older Korean gentleman that everyone will be congregating around. * You will likely need someone to drop off / pickup while your car is being serviced. There isn't a "waiting room," per se. There are a few chairs inside where the cashier is located, and a small uncomfortable bench. But you aren't really going to want to wait there for a few hours, if possible. * I HIGHLY recommend getting there before 9am. After a certain time (usually around 12pm noon), depending on the complexity of the repair, you will likely have to leave your car over night, or Mr. Choi will ask you to bring your car back the next day. Not that Hillbrook Automotive needs any more 5 star reviews, but I'm so thankful that Mr. Choi and team have extended the longevity of my car well north of 100K miles. I know at some point, I'll need to get a newer vehicle, but until then, I'll only bring my car here when it needs service.

ALI FIXED IT! A few spacers, fixed the camber and did an alignment. Ali was telling me he went to school at the Hunter alignment manufacturer, pretty much the best laser alignment machine out there. All this and he actually listens to what the problem is and gets it instantly. RARE around here. He had it done on time, perfect communication. I met 2 customers at the shop and both said the same thing about Ali and how he was honest and how they followed him from one shop to another where he worked. Now I think he's part owner. Great Customer service and fair pricing. Thank You!

This Shell station is very…read moreconveniently located super close to my work, but I still hardly ever fill up here because the Shell closer to my house is cheaper, only five minutes down the road, and this station is literally right on Little River Turnpike, and it's small & a bit tight. Still, I love that I can use my Giant Foods Shell gas rewards at any Shell Gas station, and this location is another great option for that. I have both heard and read many great things in my local community about their auto repairs, but I have never used them and cannot attest to the validity of these claims; however, it would be worth checking them out.

Have had minor electrical problems resolved here, and it was middle of road pricing. Main thing was they did solve it. Sometimes I'll buy my own parts here, and do the be work myself. This is probably best for car nuts. There are better places price wise for brake or tire work. As for the store itself quite an impressive selection. I wouldn't say the cheapest, but they are often quite competitive. The item I would recommend here is car batteries. Parking is plentiful. It's right in the heart of Annandale on 236. Also, the whole reason I had to make this appointment was they supposedly put new brakes and rotors on my jeep in late July. I've had problems with the braking system ever since. I came here after driving less than 2,000 miles just taking maybe it needing some driving in time. They are telling me somehow it is now my suspension?!? Like how is my suspension the problem with my jeep when there was nothing wrong with it when I brought it into you in for brakes and rotors?!? I would give this place a -10 if I could. It's an absolute joke. And the service team had the attitude like they just don't give a crap about you or anything else.
