Replaced the starter in a day and charged much less than general online estimates quoted for that make and model. Installed a replacement interior door handle and let me buy the part to save $$. It wasn't quite right, and they reinstalled it, after a long delay due to personal health issues, and didn't bill me again even though some time had gone by. It works like a charm. Don't be put off by the crowded parking lot and general appearance of the shop. They're crowded because people know they're the best! Well, I just had one new tire put on and had my tires aligned. The team there saved me hundreds of dollars. I cannot say enough great things about the service I received from the team. An 8AM appointment to change the oil, top off the fluids, and rotate the tires on my 2012 Subaru…read moreturned into a two-day ordeal. The mechanic first came back with more than $3,000 of proposed repairs. As none of these was critical, my son, who was waiting for the car, asked for an itemization and to please proceed with the oil change/fluid top off and tire rotation. I am a My Car Club member, which means I paid for the oil change only. Cost was about $65. As my son was leaving he was called back because they forgot to rotate the tires. Back inside for that. Then when my son started the car he noticed the low oil level warning light was on. Back into the store a third time, where he was told not to worry, the light would turn off on its own. Had I been there, I would have said "At the last oil change, Virginia Tire charged $165 to "reset" the low oil light - what gives?" But I was not there. And so my kid drove around for the rest of the day--about 40 miles--with a low oil warning light that did not go out. When I arrived home that evening, I had to move the car and noticed the warning light. I shut off the car, let it sit for a bit, and pulled the dipstick. The dipstick was dry, except for oil at the very bottom. I looked under the car for a puddle of oil. I did not see a puddle, or even a spot, but what I did notice was a broken wire dangling near the oil filter. I also noticed the fluids had not been topped off. Referring to my Subaru owner's manual, I learned the low oil warning light comes on when the oil is down 2 quarts. This, then, was concerning. The next morning I called Virginia Tire. I was told I had to get the car to Springfield. If I didn't want to drive it, I could get a tow. As a My Car Club member, Virginia Tire would reimburse up to $100 for the tow. The tow cost $130. Now, I had talked to at least two people at the store before sending the car down on the truck, so they were aware of the low oil concern. And when I got there, the clerk confirmed I was the guy with the Subaru oil change issue. I was therefore shocked when the mechanic hopped into the car, fired up the engine, and drove it into the repair bay, low oil warning light and all. I exclaimed, "Hey, that car has no oil!", but the clerk said nothing. I watched the mechanic pull the dipstick and the bunch of employees who crowded around the car. Then I was escorted to the repair bay. The mechanic said there was no problem, the car had oil. I looked at the dipstick. It was still dry, with a little oil at the bottom. I said, "No, it's not ok, this car is way low on oil." Then it got weird. The manager reiterated there was no problem. Someone else insisted there was oil on the dipstick. I ran my thumb across the dipstick where there should have been oil and showed them there was no oil on my thumb. What about the low oil light? Then the mechanic raised the car and removed the drain plug, and oil came out. The clerk said "See, it has oil!" I agreed it had some oil, but not enough oil. The mechanic then explained how he knows how much oil to use. The manager even brought out a book that showed how much oil my car takes. I already knew from my owners manual, the four cylinder model takes 5 quarts, but the six cylinder--which is my car--takes 6.9 quarts. The book showed two numbers, 5 quarts and 1.9 quarts. The mechanic pointed to the book and said "I put 5 quarts of oil in the car." The manager responded "You have to add the 5 and the 1.9." Then there was an awkward silence. After that, the mechanic refilled with the correct amount of oil and pulled the dipstick three times to show me that it had oil. I was glad it had oil, but more so that it now had the correct amount of oil. The mechanic then went over the proposed repairs. I asked about the broken wire, which did not appear on the itemization. He said the wire was broken when the car came into the shop and he didn't know what it went to. Before I left, the mechanic took responsibility for misreading the oil capacity, which I appreciated. During check out, the manager and clerk said nothing about the mistake. I asked, "What if my car has problems because it was driven on low oil?" The manager gave me his card and said to bring it back. I thought he could say that because Virginia Tire would never take responsibility for repairing or replacing the engine of a 14-year old car with 110,000 miles. Not including the my time, the $65 oil change ended up costing me just over $100, including the overage for the tow, plus the cost of a new oil pressure sensor wire harness to replace the broken one. I will replace that myself.

Do NOT bring your vehicle to NTB in Burke. I took my vehicle to the NTB in Burke for four new…read moretires. After installing, my car was wobbling so badly. I took it back and had the tires rebalanced. It still wobbled, I brought it back a third time (an hour each time). They assured me the balancing was fine and sent me on my way. My car still wobbled significantly. I called NTB on Centreville Rd. and spoke with Brian and explained the situation. He told me I could bring it in and he had my car taken in within minutes of showing up. He was extremely courteous, efficient and highly knowledgeable. He advised me that the prior balancing job(s) were not done properly and explained exactly how, and what needed to be done to correct it. The worst was the rear passenger tire which was at 300, when the max for trucks (which my car isn't even a truck, is .5)!! Absolutely unacceptable and could have destroyed my suspension and other issues! Brian and NTB Centreville Rd. took care of my vehicle at no expense to me despite the issue not being caused by his shop, but the Burke shop. Save yourself the headache, the time and your vehicle's suspension and do NOT bring your vehicle to the NTB in Burke. I HIGHLY recommend NTB on 8930 Centreville Rd in Manassas and Brian!

He continued to look online and found a transmission flush was needed for 90K and would cost $300. I decided to only have the 85K service work completed and told him so. As was leaving the station, I asked if the work would only be the oil change and tire rotation and he said "yes". The next day, I called him and he stated he performed the transmission flush work for $300 without my consent. We discussed it and he stated he would remove it from the bill. In good faith, I paid the extra $300 but will no longer do business with Smokey's Garage again.

I came in with 3 locks on my tires I needed removed because I had recently lost my key. They removed all three but damaged the bolt in the picture. After buying a new set of locks and trying to tighten it on, they accused me of being the one that did the damage -_- AS IF. I never thought I'd need the police present for ANYTHING in my life. After seeing the damage, the manager, grabs her mechanic and asks him to check. They grab my BRAND NEW LOCK and try to tighten it on with their HANDS BRO I can't make this up. And then they tell me, "look! It works you're wrong." Right before telling me the brand new lock is what is damaged. They communicated in SPANISH, WHICH I SPEAK, but I guess she forgot so, and said to each other, "esta sobado" meaning the bolt is damaged. If you zoom in on the pictures you can see the difference between the 3 old ones and the 1 new lug nut. The 3 old ones have SEVERE signs of struggle which they did struggle to remove them because they didn't have the proper key so they had to use their own. And the brand new lock is where the problem lies......... YEAH RIGHT I highly recommend people stay away from here, these people are unprofessional as hell. I ultimately ended up getting a refund of $75 AFTER she tried to charge me $110 to fix the bolt they ruined. All this trouble for a $35 difference that could've been avoided if she had just agreed to fix what they had ruined. ZERO integrity ZERO character.

I had a nail in my tire and I was desperately trying to find a shop near me that was open. I came…read moreacross Doctor Tires on Yelp and I called first to make sure they can accommodate me even if it was late. The owner was very pleasant on the phone and told me to drop by and he'll take a look at it. His shop is located in the same spot as the gas station and the price was reasonable which I was very happy about. I left his shop and the low tire pressure light came back on but it was my fault for not resetting it before I left his shop. I called him and he then told me to drop by again and he was nice to look at it for the second time free of charge. I made sure to reset it the second time around and everything worked in my favor. If you're looking for a reasonably price place to get a nail out, this is the spot!

Seemed high but I stupidly accepted. came to pick up the car two hours later and it is now 900; of which just $200 parts and $640 labor. For two hours of work.
