I dropped my car off for a flat tire they were supposed to patch, I was called the next morning and told they couldnt fix the tire, and that my tires were "legally bare" and I could not leave without buying new tires. It is not legal to keep my vehicle and all they are trying to do is fear monger and con college students into buying extra things from their shop. I showed up to retrieve my car and found that it was sitting on the flat tire in the parking lot which is just begging to bend the rim if driven on. I asked to keep my tires and was told theyd be placed in my trunk with a tire bag. When I received my car they tires were tossed in the trunk, no bag or anything. Rude and disrespectful. This place was the only place open on a Sunday evening and it still wasnt worth it. read more

okay let me start by saying dont go here they will steal your money. my car was making a weird noise so i took it in. mind you my car was working perfectly fine before this. but the noise was getting annoying so i decided to take it in. when i come back they tell me it's my alternator. so i wanted to see if there was a cheaper option around and took my car. my car broke down within minutes. leaving me no choice but to take it in for a new "alternator" $400. i leave and the noise is still there. so i come back and they say oh it's your radio. wtf why couldnt you tell me before u ruined my car made it not drivable and made me pay $400. these people are thieves! beware! I came in for a tire replacement for my car. Got it done, they've identified other problems which they fixed accordingly. They claimed it was a super slow day, yet everything took almost until closing time, several hours. I've changed my battery months prior and they said i needed a battery change. Immediately after my check engine light comes on, I return days later because my car wouldn't start. I wait another 3 hours for them to test, not even work on, test my car. They said I needed a PCM replacement which costs $800 or more and couldn't even find a replacement or anything for me. I owe them $700 in repairs now over something they could have told me when they checked my car. The brain of the car is very important, and was not checked. Therefore, how could they have known my battery was in need of change. I could of not spent a dime if they had checked it in the first place. Now I borrow a family vehicle, cause I sold my car to Carmax. They did reach out to me but offered nothing, a meaningless conversation. They compared it to appointments for a doctor, trying to insult my intelligence. Will not be returning, used to be a regular, not anymore. Beware if you are a college student. read more

Great customer service. My daughter goes to UCF and we live about 40 minutes away. She got a flat that just could not be repaired. The only place I would even considered going to was Tire plus. She happened to get it on the busiest weekend possible, (parent weekend @ UCF) but even with all the parents bring in their children's cars for everything from tune ups to oil changes or new tires like myself, they kept their cool and got everyone in out as soon as possible. We called first and they were very straightforward about the situation with wait times and about pricing. I like that they give us the price on the phone and that was the price when we arrive. No up selling was involved. The price was the price. The parking location seemed a little small but than again it was packed. And a Sunday afternoon. The store was well kept and clean. I would never hesitate to return to this location for anything from now on. read more

This was my first time ever going to Tires Plus and believe me, I will not be going back. I brought my car in for an oil change. The location was across from my job so it was very convenient. When I brought my car in, I was under the impression that they do a full maintenance check during the oil change. My error light was on when I dropped my car of because 1) my windshield wiper fluid was low, 2) my coolant level was low and 3) my tire pressure on all 4 tires was low. When I picked the car up and drove it down the road, I discovered that my error lights were still on and there had been no top offs of anything despite it being checked off that is was completed on the paper they gave me. When I called to inquire about the maintenance check, I was told that I could "just put water" in the windshield reservoir and "maybe I had a leak." My car is a fairly new car...there are no leaks. I was then told that I could bring it back in and they would top it off. How about doing that when the car was there in the first place? Since I was a little distance away, I decided to stop by the store and buy washer fluid and coolant as well as stop by a gas station to add air to my tires. I'm now wondering what did I really get with my $60 oil change. Did they even give me the synthetic oil I asked for. I now know that their 24 point check or whatever the check is, is a lie. They did not check any of my fluids and they certainly didn't top off anything. If they looked at my dashboard when they drove the car in the bay, they would have noticed right away what the car needed. I would much rather be inconvenienced and go to a place known for superior customer service then this place. After all, I'm spending my money, I should get what I pay for and what they SAY they offer. NEVER again. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. EVERY TIME I GET MY CAR BACK FROM THESE PEOPLE IT IS WORSE SHAPE THAN WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. I have spent over $1000 at this Tires Plus just this week, and now my car is making a new weird noise. Last Sunday I took my car here to check the alignment and suspension. After saying there was "nothing abnormal" with my car they recommended that I get new struts and charged me $800 (for just the front tires). The new struts were completely unnecessary but I was eager to solve my tire wear issues. The next day my front left wheel made a loud "klunk" noise whenever I turned the car, reversed, or drove over a bump. So I took the car back to Tires Plus and now they told me that I needed to replace the control arm. So yesterday I dropped another $250 on the control arm but was just happy to finally be done dealing with these jokers. But oh no, now my front right tire is making loud rattling sounds! After complaining about all of this at my work, two coworkers told me they stopped going to this Tires Plus because they always overcharge them and there are always four new things wrong with their cars when they get them back. UCF students should look elsewhere for their car care needs. read more

As soon as I walked in, the man at the desk asked what I needed done. I told him I need an oil change and I think I may need my transmission fluid flushed. He proceeded to tell the woman next to him what I needed and I made sure to restate that I need an oil change and my transmission fluid changed. An hour and a half and $200 later (I drive a hybrid so the price wasn't a surprise) they tell me everything is done. When I got into my car the first thing I noticed was that my oil life on my dash had gone from 15% to 100%, which is the norm when i get my oil changed. I was curious how much each service amounted to and noticed that the oil change was not on the receipt. I thought, how nice they didn't charge me for it, but had a feeling I had better check that it was actually done. I got back and asked and the same lady I told I needed an oil change and my transmission flushed, told me they in fact DID NOT do an oil change. THEY RESET THE COMPUTER WITHOUT ACTUALLY CHANGING MY OIL. So had I not checked I would have caused major damage to my engine seeing as I only get oil changes once every 8-12,000 miles in my car. When I asked why my computer was reset, but no oil change was done, the girl at the desk couldn't even look me and said "I was never told an oil change needed to be done," but still couldn't answer as to why the gauge had been reset to 100%, but got snappy whenever I asked the question the second time. She proceeded to tell me that I could wait an additional hour and a half to have my oil change done, which i quickly denied. I was not about to give them another hour and a half of my time when they should have actually done my oil when I was waiting the first time, not just reset my computer to make it look like they had changed my oil. UPDATE: After posting my review, corporate reached out to me eager to get what had happened taken care of and make sure what had happened to me did not happen to any one else that went to tires plus. Today I spoke to the manager, Matt, and he apologized immensely for what had happened and handled the situation better than I had expected. He explained to me that they usually reset the computers to cars as a courtesy because it is something that must be done manually and not something that happens automatically when the oil is changed. He assured me that from now on prior to doing it as a courtesy, it will only be reset 1. If it is actually done or 2. If they ask me and I give consent. No business is perfect, but rest assured that if you find yourself unsatisfied, like I was, with any aspect of your visit, corporate and Matt will take very good care of you. read more

Do not go to this location. I went in for an oil change and free brake inspection and ended up paying for things I didn't ask for thanks to the manager conveniently leaving out the total price and only saying individual prices. I was over-charged, it took a long time and the best part is I ended up having more problems than I went in with. My rear struts magically don't work anymore and now my battery went dead. Coincidence? Probably not. When money is involved and you can't actually see what they are doing to your car, you can never trust people like this. Very unprofessional and sneaky. read more

While in their shop having a transmission cable replaced my ignition switch decided to stop working. Tires Plus quoted me a price to replace the switch and did not realize the switch would have to be set up to accept my old keys. They had to call in a locksmith and pay him $169 to rekey the new switch. Because their original estimate did not include the $169 expense they did not add it to my bill. That is exceptional customer service and I have never been treated this well at any other auto repair facility in recent memory. They have earned my business for all future auto repairs. read more

While these guys may come off as friendly and trustworthy, I had a bad feeling about them for the year I've been going to them and it was definitely justified. Three days ago I had a serpentine belt come loose. When they put it back on, they told me I needed a $300 harmonic stabilizer. I declined. 3 months later the reused belt came off again, and I asked them to simply install a new one since the old one may be warped. They obliged, but when I went to pay and pick up the car at closing time the belt was still off and preventing power steering. They told me to take it home and bring it back in the morning, explicitly stating it was fine to drive. Not realizing it's the belt that runs the alternator that was off, I listen to their clerk and two miles down the road I'm stranded. When I get it back to them to check it out the next day, they say I have the wrong ac compressor installed and it needs to be replaced. They even offered to give me a "deal" on the repair and only charge $650 for the new AC compressor and freon flush. I replied that I have never changed the ac compressor, and that they obviously were able to install the belt fine the last time to get me back on the road. They state there is NO WAY for them to install the belt without replacing the AC compressor, it simply won't fit. I told them fine, I don't want that done and I want a refund for the job I paid for that was never even performed. To their credit, they gave me the refund without objection. But as my tow truck is coming to bring the vehicle to a different shop, Will and a mechanic come out and explain that the AC compressor is actually just loose, and could very well work just fine if it was refastened. Imagine that! Tried to save the sale and get me to let them work on it, but it was too little too late. Took it to JV on Colonial, they replaced the serpentine belt and secured the AC compressor in about 2 hours, charging me less than what I paid for just the serpentine belt replacement at Tires Plus. Tires Plus was blatantly attempting to scam me into replacing a $500 part that had nothing wrong with it, even after I stated that I couldn't afford that and just needed it back on the road. I won't be returning here for any service, they obviously don't mind stranding poor students. read more

Well well well! Where to start. Took my car here just to get two new tires put on. Simple. Ohhh noooo!!! First the guy says you need three new tires. No thanks, just two. Then he says we can give you an alignment deal: $80 for one year or $100 for three years and it will roll over to a new vehicle. No thanks guy. We get a call, you need two new studs. Well there isnt anything we can do about it now. Had to get the new studs. We get another call, your car is all set and ready to go! Perfect, thanks. We get there the next morning to pick it up, two tires are completely flat, which one tire is the brand new one! We go in, guy doesn't even know it was there over night... We go out to the car, have to tell him again we were there to get two tires put on the previous day. He says oh okay, we will get this taken care of. I then say when we wake up tomorrow morning at 4am to go to work and we have a flat then what. The gentleman looks at me with a shit eating grin and says "it won't!" We go home and leave the car there. They call say we need another tire because there is a nail in the one they suggested we replace the day before. At that point I'm beyond annoyed and frustrated. They say well you can get two new tires. What!? Why!? (There is a deal on Firestone tires inside the store buy3 get 1free... but I guess you only get them if you're special.) Also, we are told that our rim for the brand new tire was bent and we needed a new one and they "know a guy." We said well it was fine before, why all of a sudden is it completely bent and not going to work!?!? The man says oh it will be okay, I put a few coats of rubber sealer on it and as I can see its working fine. Now you would think at this point the car and tires would be glowing. Well guess again! We pick the car up, grab some gas on our way home, drive it home. Here we are 4 am Tuesday morning with a flat tire, stripped lugnuts, and a loose tire that almost caused an accident. I will never be returning here with any vehicle of mine ever again. read more

Terrible experience!!! RIP-OFF!! I got a nail in my tire (in the thread area) and went there to get my tire plugged. The sales rep was very condescending towards me which I'm sure is because I'm a woman and he thinks I don't know what I'm talking about. He immediately kept saying, "if it can be plugged" which I know it can be plugged where it's located. After he looks at the tire we go inside to discuss price and I'm then told it's going to cost almost $30 with tax to plug the tire and talking about this ring I'm going to need which is an additional $7 - he of course doesn't tell me that it's already included in the quoted price so now I'm thinking this is going to cost me $40 to plug my tire which in Fort Lauderdale area I've NEVER paid more than $10 for a plug. Long story short, I finally call the location hours later to only be told that they couldn't plug the tire and that I needed to buy a new tire. So, I said I'm coming to get my car and I will get the tire plugged when I get home. He wanted to leave the tire off the rim and put in my trunk, I made them put it back on so I could travel back down to South Florida - thank GOD I have a full-size spare. The worse part about this experience, they are literally right down the street from UCF and all I can think of is how many college students and their families they are ripping off because they don't know any better. By the way, I took my tire to Dales Tires in Fort Lauderdale, tire was plugged within minutes and only cost me $10.00....and my car drives perfectly! Never underestimate a customer and their knowledge and more importantly, NEVER BE CONDESCENDING!!!!!! read more
