I purchased prime Ribeye Steak. It was a little more expensive price per pound; but it was absolutely delicious and I made 2 repeat purchases so far. They sell some side items like frozen toasted ravioli, but it was another brand they put in their packing. I was not impressed. The prices of other frozen items were pricey as well. The stuffed burgers from Tischler's are outstanding! I bought two for about $6 (a little more than $5 per pound). Sure, it's a little more than buying boxed frozen patties, but it's also far less than you'd pay for a gourmet burger at any restaurant. The black & bleu burgers are seasoned exceptionally well with the perfect amount of blue cheese. Like Peter Rubi next door, it's a tiny shop, but the variety here is much more interesting. They have some fancier salsas and BBQ sauces, and there is a freezer cooler with all kinds of cuts of meat, and a meat counter with stuffed chicken breasts, stuffed mushrooms, fish filets, and then there's a deli counter too! I purchased a bag of scallops from the freezer for $12. I did get a weird vibe in here. While looking in the freezer, I heard a voice yell from behind the meat counter, "Hi, can I help you?" I didn't hear anyone respond, so I turned around and the guy was looking at me like I was an alien. Well, OK, I guess I should just know that you are talking to the back of my head? There were about 4 other people in the store too. I went to pay for my scallops at the register, and I don't know what kind of goofy system they have here, but they took two customers in front of me to checkout, since they had asked for items behind the meat counter. The customers stepped around me like it was no big deal, and the employees looked past me like I wasn't there. At this moment, I seriously considered putting the scallops back in the freezer and leaving. Instead I decided to look at the meat counter again, and that's when I decided to purchase the two burgers. There's a cool rack of jerky, I saw some labeled alligator and kangaroo. Yes, I'll definitely come back for the burgers. But next time I'll saunter in the front door, head held high, like I own the place and say, "YOU! YES YOU! I WANT TWO BURGERS," because I don't want to be looked at like a f*cking alien again. read more

Inside looked really nice and they had quite the large selection. They're not cheap overall but not everything is pricey. Their mild sausage was $3.29 lb. (you'll like it if you enjoy sausage with lots of fennel) which is cheaper than the larger chain grocery stores. I went there for burgers, which were $4.99 lb. and each patty were about 1/2 pound so look to spend about $2.50 per burger. They also had specialty burgers like with jalapeno, cheddar & bacon seasoned salt, mushrooms, and blue cheese added to the ground meat. Service was very professional. Wonderful meat market. Went in the first time to buy some New York strip steaks for a nice dinner with my husband and have been getting more items each time I stop in. I love having a butcher like this around as another option as opposed to going to Meijer or jewel. They have huge steaks. They have all kinds of cuts of meat. I believe they even have some interesting wild meats of some sort. I love there mistakes their garlic bread there sausages twice baked potatoes and more. I was really hoping to get a pork belly there, but I had to order ahead of time, which I understand, but I don't know where else I would find one for cooking today. Overall I've always had a good experience there, and if you decide to go there I highly recommend the brisket burgers for some summer grilling. The brisket burgers are absolutely amazing. This place is great. Not like a couple of stuffie meat shops I have been to in Naperville. The deli meats are excellent and priced right; compared to Jewel, there is not that much difference. The guys behind the counter are very helpful and willing to serve. My wife and I bought a nice dinner for 2 including crab cakes, shrimp, stuffed chicken breast, and twice baked stuffed potato for under $25. At a time when all are having to stay home and losing jobs due to COVID-19, these folks raised their prices by more than 10% over night. I bought something for 5.99/lb last week and as I do every week, this week, it is 7.99. We have been using you as long as I can recall. Overly Expensive even with descent quality but we buy local to support our town of more than 30 years. Now they will not offer call ahead and bring to car. We r supposed to be social distancing! Now they are getting busy, they are rude, not helpful and act worst than big box stores. So much for a local butcher. Will go elsewhre. We used to get prime and now we can't get that either but I see in other posts, others are getting this. You lost a weekly customer. Advice to anyone looking to find a local butcher, look elsewhere. These folks are not personable and no longer have that home town feel. Everything higher than other local shops who appreciate a customer and the customer needs. Tischler's Market is a great little butcher shop that also has a small selection of other grocery items. I've purchased everything from their hamburgers to large 15lb + pork shoulders and briskets. Every cut I've ever gotten here has been excellent quality and everyone has loved it. The baby back ribs are huge and a single slab can easily serve two. This place reminds me on Bavarian butcher shops, just with local specialties. If you are looking for high quality meats this is a place to go. Don't expect Walmart prices since they are selling prime cuts of meat and you have selection like nowhere else. Unfortunately not many of places like this are still existing. Pos:::The owners and staff are 5 star people! Always friendly and helpful! Wonderful are the Deli Turkey Breast meat and roast beef, both made here and labled Tischler's. Make sure to buy some jalepano coleslaw to put on your sandwich. I also like that even though this is a meat market if I need a tomato, onion or some basic fresh ingredient I won't have to go to another store as they carry a few fresh items. This has saved me an out-of-the-way stop on the way home many times. Tischlers was my first real Butcher Shop experience. I had no idea steaks, burgers, and chicken could be so darn good. I visit them once or twice a month for this and that. They always have plenty of meats to choose from. No matter how busy they are the service never suffers. They are more then willing to provide me with cooking tips any time I ask. I bought a meat in here and some of seasoning and spices. The meat has a nice quality and it is also fresh and the price is fair and reasonable. I am actually planning to go back to the store but maybe some time is I had time. The store is really nice to shop for different kinds of meat like beef, pork, chicken and just literally everything you wanted or you desire there is a lot of choices and option in the store. The staff in the store is friendly and helpful with anything and you could ask just basically anything that you concern and the staff would gladly help you. The staff would also let you see the meat if you wanted to buy it or not by looking at it first which is really nice. All of the meats and delis they have are in a good quality and literally fresh. Prices are also fair and reasonable and definitely better than the prices if you buy meat in the grocery store. I hate having to go somewhere else for meats, etc. While I was realizing today that you aren't open on Monday, 2 other customers realized the same thing and walked away disappointed. Terrible service here. Ordered 3lbs long-cut, boneless beef shank. Order came in, and i got to watch him cut meat off the bone to make sure it was the cut i wanted. Great. I asked if it owner if it was $2.99/lb, like the bone-in, cross-cut shanks in the case. He says no....$7.99/lb, cause it's bl. I said ok. But, i went home thinking bl? Why more than double? Labor? It took him 90 seconds to butcher that shank. The weight of the bone? Bones don't weigh anything. Okay. So, i order from him again, willing 2 overlook previous. I order 2lbs bl leg of lamb. Call sat afternoon 2 make sure it's in. Woman puts me on hold for 5 minutes b4 i hang up and call back. Call back, it's in. Go 2 pick it up, she brings out a blood-soaked package and says she's gonna rewrap it 4 me. Gee, thanks. Gives it 2 me....it's 3lbs....$10.99/lb. Ok. Whatever. Get it home....she wrapped right over bloody butcher paper! Whatever....again. Star 2 cut a lb off to freeze 4 future and realize this doesn't look like 3lbs of meat. Throw it on scale....2lb, 1oz! Unbelievable! Went back 2 owner Monday who refunded me, apologized, and said he'd find out how this happened. Oh...and gave me $30 cash back after i showed him receipt for $33+change. I dunno. What if this was 4 a party, or family get-together? It was over a weekend. They're closed on Sunday. We would've been ordering pizza. I wasn't necessarily looking 4 freebies, or anything. But, ordering a cut of meat from a specialty butcher and getting the wrong thing is NOT the same as buying a defective DVD player from best buy. Ya know? When i was leaving, i bought 3lbs of smoked pork chops right in front of him. He never thought to say "hey, ya know what, 1/2 off for you're inconvenience". Not going back here! Amazing customer service..... What man doesn't want a positive meat review... Called for live lobster late Tuesday for Valentine Day, on Friday. I needed four lobsters. He kindly explained he didn't carry live lobster. I could almost hear him thinking out loud for a solution. Took my number and stated he would see what he could do. My call was returned within 15 minutes, with a price I thought was fair because he went out of his way to get the size and number I requested by Friday. I have made purchases from the store before and found the meat was a delicious. I assume whomever his supplier is will be sure to delight us with the lobster. I will up date my review after I get the order and it has been served. I never want to pass up an opportunity to review ones meat. ( Oh come on good clean fun haha) read more

Their meat is pretty good quality but pretty high priced. For example, we really like their stuffed chicken breasts but for $7.99/lb for bacon wrapped with cheese, please, add some seasoning for taste! Their deli meats and products are at least double what you pay at Tony's or Caputo's. Yes, I get you might pay a little more, but seriously, be competitive in this area where you can get it anywhere. The meat is great so I do expect to pay more for that but everything else is too overpriced. I rely upon the buying a whole rib at Caputo's, some bacon and shrink wrapping them ourselves when they are on sale. read more
