I had been contemplating on writing this review because I wanted to give it time before I knew for sure it was the right thing to do. I actually enjoy the food at this place. Me and my partner visit pretty often. At least 4 times a month. However my only issue is the younger guy with the glasses is never friendly. Sometimes he's on the phone taking orders and he won't look for a second to acknowledge that we arrived to the counter. He never smiles. He has no eye contact. I almost feel like we're bothering him when we come in. There is however a lady who also wears glasses in the mornings, and she's very attentive and always greets us with a smile. So yummy! I was definitely sleeping on this place and now since I've gone, I keep thinking about it. Im a sucker for a patty melt and this was like the best patty melt I've had. So good the flavors were on point. My sister got a huge ham omelette that she said was good. My boyfriend liked the chile relleno burrito but I thought it was a little bland. The only sad thing was the buffalo wings which were actually cut up tenders. Oh and if you follow them on tik tok you get a free drink. The burgers from this establishment were pretty good. Lots of families tend to go here so it can get packed after lunch time hours with not much places to sit. The parking wasn't bad at all at this location as there's plenty of space to park. My only inconvenience is the wait time for food being prepared. My wait time was 20+ minutes for my burger and I understand that when an establishment is busy, that is typically what happens but the occasion I visited this spot, the cafe wasn't as full as it would be during lunch early afternoon hours. So I was surprised that the wait would be as long as it was. If you don't mind waiting for your food, I'd recommend this establishment but it may be best to eat there vs getting it to go. read more

Does anybody know why this place is a 5 star establishment? Well, I do. I used to constantly drive by this place and see their banner out front promoting their happy hour, but usually brushed it off due to the location. Then one day, hubbers and I were trying to decide what to eat for lunch because I was too lazy to cook, and he didn't want to clean up the mess anyway. Suddenly I remembered rolling past this place, so I figured I'd look it up. (Because that's what we do now, right?) .....and then.... 5 STARS!?!? What in awesome delights have I been missing out on? I'm in! I'm SO in! I haven't even looked at the menu, but I'm in! "Slow your roll" says hubs. After a speed of light gander at the menu, I excitedly say "hot bird!" At the exact same time my beloved killjoy says the same thing. So, using my almighty manipulation skills, I work my magic and steer him toward the cable car. We can go halvsies. So, I gear up to go pick up some rad looking noms (game is on...he's not moving) and this fool suddenly thinks he might want a cold sandwich...the deluxe. After standing there for what seems like 20 minutes to a hangry woman (it was probably 2 minutes), I grab the keys, tell him I'll choose, and book it. Walking in, I was pleasantly surprised at the space and cleanliness. I was honestly expecting a counter and a bench. Then, lo and behold...there's beer??? Oh, my insides became more excited...to wait...and drink a beer. So, I ordered the cable car, hot bird, deluxe, and club....2 as combos with (fantastic) fries. To top it off for the wait, a tall, cold frosty. The look of shock on hubby's face when I arrived with a feast was hilarious, but the satisfaction we both felt after becoming butterballs was epic. I was at TJ's this afternoon and ordered their classic breakfast burrito for the third time since I first discovered this hidden gem about three weeks ago. The owners & staff are all super hospitable, outgoing, and helpful with menu suggestions depending on what you might be craving or in the mood for. The prices are fair in today's restaurant market, and the portions are hefty leaving you satisfied and full. I often take half of my burrito home to polish off later. Everything on the menu sounds and looks fantastic. These guys do not skimp on loading up their breakfast burritos with four to five eggs depending on the size you order. The onions & bell peppers are the perfect kick of flavors mixed in with your choice of meat, cheese, potatoes, beans, etc. The chorizo is a must try! The ambience and vibe inside is simple, clean, and comfortable. It's a small dining area but I have never had any trouble finding seating. Spotting this place from the street is easy to miss so be on the lookout for their sign to avoid driving right past the mundane industrial style buildings and parking lot. I am stoked that I came across this cafe with a menu full of breakfast & brunch go-to classics. TJ's is well worth your time for a hungry visit. I work and own a business nearby. I was really excited to try this restaurant. I have given them a number of chances and even recommended my employees eat there during lunch. Every time there is an issue. Overall the staff is not welcoming and extremely rude. One of my first experiences the cook started an argument because I asked that he correct my order with the correct ingredients that were listed and requested. They refunded my money and took my food back, didn't offer to correct their mistake. Another occasion I walked in for lunch and was told at 2:00 pm "they were closed bro." No explanation or apology as their staff watched tv. They are also extremely overpriced for the type and quality of food they offer. I would recommend going to John's Place up the street. I've been here twice, the first time for a Philly cheesesteak. The second time I got a burger (which I've heard great things about) and my bf got a carne asada quesadilla. Right off the bat I noticed the quesadilla had the same meat from the Philly cheesesteak. The burger was soggy and tasted weird. I took a bite and couldn't finish it. I did end up eating a good portion of the quesadilla. If I come back, I'll just stick to the cheesesteak or maybe try an omelette. Staff are very nice here. read more
