Best burger in the downtown area of Juneau! The fries it comes with are amazing as well!

Having placed my to go order directly with the male wait staff member, I figured this to be an easy A!! Boy was I wrong!! Somewhere within the 15 feet this gentleman had to walk to give the order to the cooks, a guacamole burger turned into a black and blue burger, which wouldn't be discovered until I arrived back in North Douglas!! When I called to inquire as to how this phenomenon could occur in such a small distance, I was given the "oops" by the very man that didn't know the difference between guacamole and blue cheese! When I arrived back at the restaurant, I asked for a manager, which when I was told there was not one on shift, I pretty much knew I wouldn't be getting a call back!! Long story short......avoid this place until they hire wait staff that have the ability to actually learn what foods are unless you like getting what you did not order!!! read more

We ended up dining on a Saturday night and joining in on their King Crab Buffet (they served off the regular menu as well). It seems they change it around sometimes. During our visit, there was bottomless king crab, Dungeness, corn on the cob, drawn butter, coconut shrimp, pina colada sauce, clam chowder, salad, ciabatta bread, shrimp, cocktail and tartar sauces, lemons, wild rice, and green beans. Considering everywhere else in town charges about $42 for a king crab meal with 2 legs, this was a steal! But only if you bring your appetite. read more

This is our go-to for dinner and we've always been satisfied. The dinner staff do a great job with serving and the food is quite delicious. They serve a mean prime rib with all the trimmings and the crab legs are very good. On the other hand, I'm going to avoid going there for lunch because of several not-so-good experiences. They seem to have different servers each time we go there to eat. The one we had recently took our orders right away but did not stop by to refill my coffee cup. I do recommend the burgers, they're huge and tasty. I would be leery to order the oysters unless they are for certain fresh. It's suppose to come with fries but the waitress did not bring mine. When I went to pay for our tab, this waitress shamed me for returning the oysters. From now on I'm avoiding going there for lunch but will keep going back for dinners. read more

Friendly staff and good menu. The food are pretty good and consistent. Very reasonable portion-price ratio.

In the past I have had absolutely terrible food at brunch: mealy prime rib & disgusting bleu cheese on steak. We were also apparently invisible despite the room being only half full. HOWEVER, the last few times I have had food in either the restaurant or the bar for dinner it was great! Really nice pasta dishes and crab, large portions, good service. Please step up the cleanliness of wiping tables, though. (I hate sitting at a wet, sticky table wiped with a dirty rag.) read more

I'd checked in around 8 so ate at the hotel restaurant as it was getting late. The staff was friendly and fairly attentive. I ordered the King Crab legs dinner. I got way more than I expected, the veggies looked wonderful. Unfortunately they were rubbery and bland which seems par for the course this far north. The crab was overcooked. A couple of melon margaritas put a smile back on my face. Overall I was just glad to get dinner so close to 9pm. read more

Not only was my steak served medium well when I ordered rare; but the staff treated me the worst I have ever been treated by a restaurant in my life. I elected to continue my meal after calling attention to the waitress of my over cooked meal. I didn't want my family having to wait on another meal being cooked. (I only ate 1/2 of the steak). When the bill came I was surprised to find that the waitress did not adjust the price at all for the error. When we asked about it things went from bad to worse. The "manager" basically yelled from four tables away "well, you ate half of it!" After going back and forth a couple times my husband told them we would just pay it. Eventually they comped my meal. As we waited for our uber in the lobby, the "manager" was taking on her phone bad mouthing me that I had eaten half a meal and then wanted it free.....basically saying I was just looking for a free meal. The conversation went on for a bit and I eventually said "you know I am right here." She proceeded to point at me, laugh, and say to whom she was speaking "oh Hahahaha she's right here." She went in back and came out a few minutes later. At that point she did say "oh sorry" but later tried to say she was taking about something else. Then she went on and on questioning why I ate half a meal - over and over. She continued to deny her behavior on the phone and then just walked away saying "thanks for coming in." The following day a phone call to the general manager yielded essentially the same result. At no time in the conversation did she express any retraining she would do, violation of their customer service policy, or anything. She just said "she was embarrassed but didn't tell me all that." At the end of the call, feeling no satisfaction, I asked for her bosses name. Her reply "I am the boss." I finally got her to give me the owners name but she didn't offer up any contact information. It wasn't until the end of a 10 minute call that she said "well, sorry that happened to you. I'll talk to her." "You don't sound too sorry" was my reply as I hung up. Lesson for me: when you uber driver warns you DONT GO. When every restaurant in town has an hour wait except the one you are at DONT GO. When on a busy Friday night there are only 4 tables taken DONT GO. Lesson for this restaurant: Retrain employees on customer service. Fire Tammy. Demote Jessica. read more

This is a pretty good place to eat as far as Juneau restaurants go. It's not over crowded like the Hanger, and the food is better than most other places I've been to around town. Prices are comparable to other restaurants in town. However, the 3 course special for $20 is a good deal. (Not sure if that's a week night only deal.) read more

Stayed at the hotel. The service is not what you'd expect for a nice restaurant. I'd rate it higher normally because the food is ok but they really need to figure out their service problem. We almost left before the gal came to take our drink order and it took 35 minutes to get our food. Needless to say the fish was cold... I'm pretty sure I've had better Salmon in Kansas. Great place for a quick burger for lunch or a steak and a beer after work. Their prices are competitive with other Juneau restaurants, but their portions are bigger and you can almost always get a table because it is just outside of the downtown core. I'd go here instead of the Hanger any day of the week. read more

I've eaten here twice, the potato skins are really good and the halibut tacos. The reason for one star is because the service sucks. We came in to eat last night. The sign said seat your self, so we found a booth that was clean. Then we waited and waited for ten minutes. The servers walked by three times, didn't say hi but made eye contact. I don't know if the servers where prejudice or just lazy, but we ended up leaving, and for dinner we ended up eating at the hanger. read more

Spending part of the summer on our boat in a harbor near downtown beautiful Juneau, we decided to try this place. We absolutely loved our dinner and the service was exceptional. I had bacon wrapped scallops with hollandaise and my husband had prime rib. Our appetizer was beer batter mushrooms. They were excellent and plentiful! On Sat. night they have an all you can eat King Crab Buffet (also includes coconut fried shrimp, Dungeness crab, scallops, salad, clam chowder) for $50 which is a bargain and it was very popular while we were there. read more

Definitely not what it used to be! My boyfriend and I went to brunch this morning and it turned out to be very disappointing. The first plate I picked up was dirty. Not only was most the food cold, but their little warming candles under the buffet trays not disbursing heat evenly... overcooked and dried out the scrambled eggs, and the french toast was hard directly above the flame. Who likes cold sausage or bacon? What happened to the glass buffet case that protects the food and keeps it appropriately warm while people are filling their plates? At least their fruit tray was nice and the deserts tasty! However, not enough to bring me back. My $20 will go someplace else next time. read more
