Stepping out of my truck, it smelled delicious! Walked in, clean, well lit, was promptly seated. My lil chickadees birthday and WOW does she have great taste! Everything was amazing! From the dumplings to the new special ... great flavor, well balanced heat! So Good!

Oh wow, this stand alone Korean restaurant was amazing. Set a little bit from asia town, well worth the trip. We had a big party. And this place was able to accommodate us! I could not wait to get the dol sot mushroom bibimbap, and it came out on a hot plate with handles! The rice was so crunchy and everything very flavorful. My friend ordered a seafood pancake for the table and that with the dipping sauce paired so well with my bibimbap. I usually can't finish my dish but this was sooo good, I ate the WHOLE thing. Seriously, it was THAAT good. I could not put my spoon down.

My friend suggested we try this place. I was totally unaware of its existence, and I had yet to try a Korean restaurant in Katy, so I was excited to try it! Upon entering I marveled at how busy they were during the lunch hour. The patrons were mostly Korean, which is always a good sign. An older lady approached as waitstaff and asked if I wanted some barley tea, which I declined. Not a huge fan of it, but it's nice to know they offer it. My dining partner and I shared a seafood pancake for an appetizer! I loved that they brought two separate dipping sauces so we didn't have to share! As for the seafood pancake, texture wise it was incredible! Nice crispy outside with a chewy inside. My only issue with it was it barely contained any seafood at all, which is a shame. The three banchan that we received were all tasty, with the cabbage kimchi being my favorite! I enjoy that it was fresh and not very fermented. We definitely requested a refill. As for my main meal, I ordered the gamja tang which is my go to. It is comprised of pork neck bones and potatoes plus a mess of spring onions, soaking in a nice simmering hot broth. I love the succulent little bits of tendon and meat still clinging to the bone, and honestly I took most of this home so I could gnaw on the tendons attached to the hefty bones like a dirty savage. It was very flavorful. I tried my friend's oxtail soup which was very light with thin slices of oxtail. Overall really nice place that I would consider visiting again.

Korean restaurant right off the frontage road of I10 in Katy- we ordered some typical foods like: Bulgogi- 4/5 Kimchi stew- 3/5- the kimchi was sufficiently sour but it was still lacking some umami flavor I couldn't pin point. For me it was a little too sweet as a base layer after the sour Banchan-1/5- come on guys- the diversity, choices and taste were not there. They did have hot barley tea which was nice.

Absolutely authentic Korean food. The best tteokbokki I've ever had -- my friend and I were battling over the last bits and pieces. The staff is sweet and friendly. I've been been craving cold buckwheat noodles and their Mul Naengmyeon hit the spot. So refreshing. My friend ordered Dakdori-Jeongol (Chicken and Potato Stew). It was served is a sizzling dolsot (stone bowl). If you're looking for delicious food, that will fill your heart and your stomach, I recommend this delicious spot. Easy in and out - plenty of parking, on the Katy Fwy, just west of S. Mason Rd.

To Soc Chon is my favorite Korean restaurant in Katy! The service is excellent, and the staff is always kind, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all customers. I dine here at least once a month. Bibim Naengmyeon: This is the best bibim naengmyeon in Houston, TX. The chewy buckwheat noodles, made in-house, serve as the perfect companion for the sweet, tangy, and savory gochujang sauce. It's a refreshing dish that helps beat the Texas summer heat. Whenever I'm craving bibim naengmyeon, this is the first place that comes to mind. You can adjust the taste to your liking with the vinegar and mustard provided. Seolleongtang: Their seolleongtang is like a comforting hug in a bowl. It's served piping hot with glass noodles, tender brisket, and a generous sprinkle of green onions on top. It also comes with a bowl of fluffy white rice, which is perfect for soaking up the rich, milky broth. The flavor is deep but not overly salty, and you can adjust it to your taste with the salt and pepper provided. Kongguksu: I tried this for the first time recently after being curious about it for months. The noodles were nice and chewy, and the ice-cold broth tasted like a mix of soy milk and tofu. It had a sweet, savory, and nutty flavor profile. I recommend adding a pinch of salt if you think it's too bland. Kimchi Jjigae: You can't go wrong with a classic kimchi jjigae. The soup had a pleasant tangy kick, and the meat was tender and easy to chew. The kimchi was soft and flavorful, and the slightly firm tofu soaked up all the soup beautifully. This dish is a rice thief. It's so tasty you'll keep reaching for more rice! You'll definitely leave the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. I can't end this review without mentioning their banchan (side dishes). To Soc Chon has the best banchan trio: kimchi, radish kimchi, and pickled cucumbers. They're addictive and pair well with any meal. I love snacking on them while I wait for my food. I highly recommend To Soc Chon if you're looking for a restaurant to satisfy your Korean comfort food cravings!

This is hands down my all time favorite korean restaurant. All of the workers are super nice and friendly. The food leaves me speechless every time I go and eat. This time I got the Budae Jjigae, kimchi pancake, and galbi. Their kimchi pancake and galbi is the best I've ever had! The batter is super crispy and the flavor is amazing. The sauce for the galbi is perfect, I mix the extra sauce in my rice and it's to die for and the meat is so tender. The budae jjigae has so much meat and noodles added and the portion size is enough to easily feed two people. Also even though there is only 3 banchan every single one is so good especially the kimchi radish is my favorite. Sometimes I ask to buy a Togo container of the kimchi radish home because it's that good!

Banchan 5/5 Seafood pancake 5/5 Spicy Cold noodle 5/5 Oxtail soup 5/5 I have been dreaming of finding a diverse selection of Korean food ever since visiting the Koreatown in LA, and I'm glad to have finally being able to taste some of the dishes I have not been able to find in Houston. First, the banchan is absolutely delicious and just spicy enough to give you a good kick. We were able to buy a small tub of their banchan for $10, which while is more expensive than the grocery store options, is totally worth it for a top notch banchan. My highlight was definitely the oxtail soup, a mild soup that I have been searching for months in Houston ever since I first had it in LA and it felt like a warm hug and perfect for a cold day. The spicy cold noodle is also absolutely delicious and totally manageable for someone who doesn't eat a whole lot of spicy food. Overall despite its location in Katy, I am so glad I found this restaurant and can't wait to come back more as the weather is starting to get colder.

Came on a Sunday morning and was immediately greeted and given a table. The atmosphere is very casual and comforting as the servers are extremely sweet and attentive. We ordered the Gamja- Jeongol (the spicy pork neck bone and potato stew) to share and it was plenty of food for 4 people. The stew itself was very hearty with plenty of potatoes and meat, however the broth itself was a bit bland and was not spicy in my opinion. (5/10) The ban chan, however, such as the kimchi, the radish, and the marinated cucumber and zuchini were all very fresh and flavorful (7/10). The service was top tier as the waiters were quick to give us refills of the ban chan and the water when they noticed that we were running out and constantly checked in with my table. I would definitely come back to try other menu items for the stellar service and the homey vibes of the restaurant!

This homey Korean restaurant situated on the opposite side of I-10 from Katy Asian Town is a new favorite, particularly after a long afternoon soaking at the Korean spa. As you'll see from the menu, the specialties are soups, stews, and bibimbap - of what I've tried so far, the intensely rich and meaty gamja-tang is my top pick, each spoonful an addictive volcanic gamble that threatens to singe off your taste buds lest you practice sufficient patience to let the broth cool ever so slightly. If you're dining in, the hot stone bibimbap is worth the upcharge from its regular counterpart - few things in the Katy area are more satisfying than breaking the egg yolk all over gochujang-drizzled crispy rice. The housemade banchan are crisp and perfectly funky - in particular, the cucumber/apple/jalapeno dish was new to me but its sweet and tangy notes were a welcome relief from the fire of other dishes. And don't forget to ask for refills - the attentive and personable ajummas who run the place are more than happy to see you enjoy all the kimchi and pickled radish you can stomach. I'll catch y'all out here next time I decide to take a dip at Spa World!

Good place to get Korean food. I got the Korean army stew and it was on the sour end, perhaps it was more kimchi based. I'm use to eating more of a saltier based army stew. So far I'd rather go to Bon Galbi or Cho Dang Gol. The bonchon here was average. Not sure if I'd come back.

Comforting spot for a comforting meal. The kimchi smacks hard, both the cabbage and radish. The pickled veggies are yummy too, crunchy and sweet. The seolleongtang has to be my absolute favorite dish. I like to add salt and pepper in there plus some kimchi juice. Idk how else to describe this wonderful dish, but it literally revives me. Love the glass noodles at the bottom and the hearty broth. The employees are so sweet and quick to attend to the needs of their customers. Plenty of seating, and it doesn't get overwhelmingly loud!

Don't let the dates exterior deter you from coming in and enjoying some delicious Korean flavors. Great spice and well developed jigae. This location stands all on its own - south of I-10 which is the other side of Katy Asian Town (north of I-10). Service was friendly. Good came out hot and fresh. Large parking lot - you can park in the rear of the restaurant. I recommend and will come back!

Tasty Ko is located further South of I-10 in an assuming plaza. As soon I stepped into the restaurant, I was hit with delicious aromas of KBBQ and seafood sizzling at the tables. I was in the mood for noodles and so was my friend - we ordered the jjamppong and the jiajiangmein. The broth for the jjamppong was super flavorful and deep with seafood notes. There were plenty of veggies (cabbage) and squid. The shrimp were small and kind of mushy - probably from a frozen bag or just not fresh. I didn't mind though. The serving size of noodles were perfect, and maybe a little bit more than I wanted since I couldn't finish the whole bowl. The jiajiangmein looked equally as delicious - my friend said there was a lot of onion in the sauce. The array of banchan consisted of kimchi, marinated bean sprouts, cold kimchi pancake, and marinated spicy cucumber. Yummy banchan as well. Tasty Ko is a great spot if you're not wanting to drive all the way to the Spring Branch area for Korean food, and not wanting to spend an arm and a leg at Katy Asian Town. We ordered the Chef's Table which comes with 4 preselected meats (all beef). My favorites were the unmarinated and marinated kalbi. It's actually quite hard to find Korean BBQ places these days that don't strictly follow the AYCE model with lower quality cuts. These were very good cuts of meat. I could've probably done without the other two cuts. They were good cuts of meat, but the kalbi really stands out. This Chef's Table set comes with 2 sides, but you should know before going that banchan does NOT come along with the meal like many Korean restaurants you might be used to. So don't expect kimchi, salads, or even the lettuce wraps to come along with the meat. You can still order them of course, but will have to be included in your choice of 2 sides. We also ordered: - Seafood Pancake - pancake itself wasn't bad, but not extraordinary. The sauce for this was a bit of a let down. It also didn't arrive until the end of the meal which is unusual. But the service itself while friendly and kind was incomplete. We had to ask for a bunch of things that normally is just considered without mentioning and we didn't see our waiter visit that much after the food was delivered. - Ja Jang Myun - This was quite honestly the blandest set of noodles I've ever eaten at any restaurant. Both my wife and I have never had something taste like nothing. Which was too bad because the noodles themselves were cooked quite nicely. Not overly soft. Very disappointing. So back to the punchline, come here for the meat and skip the other stuff. I will say, they have a lot of different specials throughout the week so maybe those might be worth checking out before coming here because it is a bit pricy for what you get.
