I settled for the traditional California style eggs benedict and it didnt disappoint. the eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was delictable with a great tang and creaminess. generous portions of avocado with a french bread bottom were good complements to the eggs. and the hashbrowns and bacon were cooked perfectly as well. Others had the avocado toast with eggs prepared both hard boiled and poached. very good and filling! the mini orders were more than enough for others in the group. Four pancakes for a mini?!? came with bacon. and the french toast with strawberries is a recommendation with plenty of fruit to balance the toast. Overall, a great stop. I brought my mother here for brunch for her 80th birthday! Toast has fantastic reviews so I was excited to try their food. I live in Oakland so it's always nice to get out of the area and try new restaurants. Staff was super Duper cool and really really nice and accommodating. The food was OK in my taste. Tried this place for the first time but definitely not my last. I came for brunch on a weekday so we were seated right away. They also have us the choice of sitting inside or outside on the patio. First time coming to this restaurant. It is in a shopping center and sits at the edge as the last business. There is huge parking lot and accommodates outdoor seating as well as inside. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We came in for lunch on a Wednesday. I ordered the green chilaquiles and fresh pineapple juice to drink. The plate was flavorful. We came in around 2 pm on a Saturday (they close at 3), and even though we stayed late, we didn't feel rushed. Here's the breakdown: Food (4.5 stars) + My molcajete costillitas was a star. Fall-off-the-bone pork ribs, crisp hash browns at the bottom of the hot stone, a red sauce that was just delicious, and even cactus that tasted like bell peppers! I'm really disappointed with my experience here. I came in with high expectations, but unfortunately, the food and service were terrible. I came with a group of five on Sunday morning, and it took about an hour for our food to arrive. Two of the plates came with sunny-side-up eggs that were severely undercooked, so both plates had to be sent back to the kitchen. When my plate finally came back from the kitchen, I found a piece of foil in the middle of my tray. At that point, I had completely lost my appetite. Finding a foreign object in my food after already having to send it back was extremely concerning and unacceptable. The service was also very disappointing. During the long wait, no one checked on us or offered refills for our drinks. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be coming back. We shared two dishes- a sweet and a savory. Today's special was the Barbacoa Skillet, with chunks of tender and flavorful beef, breakfast potatoes, grilled onions and topped with over-easy eggs. We had to stop ourselves from eating all of it because we had to make room for the Mazapan pancakes! They had cajeta (Mexican caramel) and topped with Mazapan (nutty pastry). I thought it might be on the main strip. Nice that there is a shared parking lot, so no need to find street parking. The menu has so many choices! I started with a bloody Mary that had a super crispy slice of bacon, celery, olives & pepper. Very tasty! I settled for a huge chicken salad that had corn, diced tomatoes, & bacon crumbles with a lemon vinaigrette dressing. What a perfect spot for our monthly boozy breakfast tradition! I love that they open at 7AM -- nothing like being greeted with warmth and champagne before most people are even awake. The chicken was flavorful and well-seasoned, but it was a little overcooked and slightly dry. The biggest disappointment was the service. Our server displayed racist behavior toward me, while treating my friend completely differently. When our server forgot to bring us utensils, my friend asked her for some, and she responded, "Oh, I almost left you two eating like in Mexico." I found this comment extremely inappropriate and offensive. Throughout our meal, her attitude toward me was also noticeably rude and unwelcoming. Family trip win: amazing brunch, happy kids, full bellies, and friendly service. We were visiting from out of the area with the family and this place blew us away. The Steak Benedict was a knockout with some amazingly moist meat, the omelets were spot on and large portioned, and the hash browns were next-level crispy with just the right amount of salt. The kids devoured the Nutella French toast and Cinnamon roll pancakes, while the Frisco Burger and mimosa flight made it a win for the grown-ups too.
