High expectations but the reality is you're better off at iHop or Denny's. Food was not fresh (hash browns tasted like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp an hour...how hard is it to serve fresh hash browns?), and the poached eggs on my Eggs Benedict were basically hard boiled....I had to send them back, and I NEVER send things back because everything else gets cold while you wait for your stuff to be re-done. French Toast, while good flavor, was cold when it was served (maybe there wasn't room left under the heat lamp?). Coffee mediocre at best, and for a breakfast place it wasn't up to par. My guess is they've over-reached with their huge menu so they compromise on quality/freshness and try to wow you with tons of quirky menu choices. Wife ate less than half of her hash browns, and her bananas foster pancakes by were cold, mushy, and average-tasting. How do you mess up breakfast, for goodness sakes? read more

4/16/19 - Update: Came back for breakfast to see if they improved. Sadly, it was worse for me. I ordered the crab cake Benedict which should have been called the hard boiled Benedict! The eggs were soft boiled - no yolk running( what a shame) and the crab was fishy. Seemed to have been frozen and not thawed properly when cooked. Very mushy texture and an unpleasant taste. See pics... One thing they got right - the potatoes. My husband and I came here for breakfast since the reviews all seemed to be pretty high. It's Wednesday morning so we didn't have a wait. The staff greeted us with smiand everyone was super friendly. Staff gets 5 stars!! Food: My husband ordered corned beef hash and I ordered the chicken n biscuits. The corned beef was excellent but was sadly demoted due to the potatoes in the mix being under cooked. The eggs were a perfect over-medium and the sour dough toast was thick and crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle!!! Exactly what you want in toast! My sausage gravy was PERFECTION!! Sadly the chicken under it had a very odd texture when chewing it. Although the taste was great. The biscuits were soggy and the potatoes were under seasoned and not crispy. At the end of our meal the manager asked us about our experience with a genuine concern for his patrons to have experienced the best. We gave a true reflection and he offered us to come back and gave us a dining credit. I will say YES we will be back because this, to me, is how you stay on top. They care and it shows! This place is amazing! It was busy, but I was seated immediately. Love the menu choices and every kind of combo ever. I ordered the Corn Beef Benedict and it was delicious. Toast was highly recommended and I'm glad I came. I was greeted and service was great. She promptly asked me what I wanted to drink. Tried and loved the Raspberry Truffle coffee. Amazing breakfast!! With tons to choose from I had the Chorizo omelet with poblano peppers, cheddar-jack cheese and pork green chili. Skipped the potatoes and toast and added bacon. YUM!!! I ordered the corned beef hash, one of my pet peeves is when potatoes are under cooked, as it was here. Oh man!!! I am actually speechless! Seriously my dreams have come true! Toast has a "flight of pancakes" and a "flight of French toast" on their menu. Of course I had to try it! Oh my gosh, the food is sooo good. That is, of course, if you can make a decision on what to get. I've been to Toast 3 or 4 times and each time someone in my group has had an issue with the food. Temperature (warm, not hot), something left off the plate, and even taste- the entree itself was a little off. The atmosphere is great/lively. It gets busy. We had a late arrival when returning from vacation and had nothing in the fridge the next morning for breakfast so my husband and I popped into Toast, as it was close by. I am not a fan of eggs and they don't like me either, but the menu has so many choices for folks like me. My husband and actually split the Turkey Pedro as the portions are just right - when shared. It was excellent and we both left full vowing to return. Noel, our waitstaff, was equally as wonderful and has an excellent sense of humor to go with her professional skills. I would highly recommend Toast for those who like great selection, good size portions and high quality service; weekends can prove daunting, unless you don't mind waiting. Delicious food and huge portions! We came for brunch on Saturday at 11 and only ended up waiting at the restaurant for about five minutes due to the awesome 'waitlist' feature on Yelp! I came in a group of five and everyone loved their dishes. I ordered the corned beef hash and a side of pancakes, which is more than enough food for two meals... The hash itself was pretty small, but you do get a huge mound of potatoes on the side, two eggs, and toast (which I upgraded to the pancakes). So first off the menu is fairly large and not lacking variety. I went for a savory french toast, the Santa Fe, and I should have asked if anyone else wanted to split it. This plate was huge, definitely meant for sharing or leftovers. It had good spice/heat to it, some diced avocado would've gone nicely. My friend ordered the smoked salmon omelette with spinach added. Also ordered the kids pancakes. They're giant and meant for more than 1. Don't laugh at the $5 specialty lattes, again portion for price is crazy. Yes parking is tight, but it's in Downtown Littleton. There was no wait, hello weekday breakfast. All staff was friendly. The restaurant and restrooms was very clean. Finally made it here and I'm sorry it wasn't sooner. It probably saved us money because we want to try EVERYTHING on the menu. We got the last parking spot, yet there was no wait and our food came out perfectly in less than 15 min after ordering. We ordered our food and watched plate after big gorgeous plate of food being served to those before us. We ordered Carnitas Chilaquilas and the Santa Fe french toast. Both were amazing and both had enough leftovers to be a full 2nd meal. Breakfast tomorrow! The coffee was great, it was cozy and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a family friendly atmosphere and we were thanked for coming in by ALL the staff we interacted with. A great place to bring out of town guests, they have done Colorado proud. Phew, the service was a little off today. I've become something of a regular at Toast over the last year (see my previous review - it all still applies), and I have seen the gamut of food and service here. Most of the time everything is spot on, but sometimes it's lacking. Today was one of those lacking days. Why, then, am I still rating Toast five out of five stars? Because when you bring an issue to the service's attention, they fix it IMMEDIATELY. That, and the food is always so damn tasty! Today, I ordered a cafe latte and the corned beef hash bennie with a garden salad instead of the side of potatoes. The latte came out runny, with no foam, and quickly developed a "skin" of stale cream on the top. I sent it back for a better, much frothier replacement which showed up in under four minutes. Then my entree appeared with potatoes instead of the garden salad. I sent it for a quick substitution and it came back, corrected, in about two minutes. BOOM. Instant satisfaction. Once fixed, the espresso was impeccable and the food was exactly right. SO delicious! For those people who have come to Toast when the service has an off day, I encourage you to come back and give them the opportunity to thrill you. More often than not, they will rise to the occasion. read more
