I've eaten here 2 or 3 times and thought I'd written a review before. Bigger place than it looks, but it does get busy - reserve before coming in if you can. Parking can be a real pain. Generally friendly service, and kids can color and get their work posted on the wall. They've got some good things - but "OK" stands out from my recollection of this and previous visits. Biscuits and gravy - biscuits are "fluffier" and more cake-like than my preference, and even with extra pepper and hotsauce, the gravy was just ok. This might be because the sausage in the gravy and links seemed just ok. Hashbrowns are relatively large cubes mixed with rather large pieces of green pepper and onion - needed extra stuff for me. They let me sub chorizo (ok) for ham steak (which I don't like for breakfast). I seem to remember that the burritos were ok, and we've done the french toast and pancake flights/assortments - some very good, some good, some not to my taste. My daughter had the chicken and biscuits and said it was good, chicken was a little spicy. I'd say give it a try if you're looking for a new breakfast place and it's close. EVERYTHING on the menu sounded superb. So, we ordered everything. Kidding, kidding. But close enough. Even our waitress gave a chuckle and said "boy you guys got a lot of food". Our pancake choices went as such, - S'mores: perfection. this was my fave by far - Banana Fosters: was ok - Lemon Blueberry: WOWZERS with fresh and tart - Carrot Cake: meh For my bfast, bc the giant pancake flight to share was not enough, I ordered their popular Santa Fe French Toast. A huge savory mound of REAL BREAD (thick cut and gorgeous) and topped with chorizo, green chilies, a spicy cream sauce and stuffed with a fried egg. First, runny eggs freak me the F out! Don't like them at all. So I knew that the toast was stuffed with an egg but I figured it would be cooked through. Not the case BUT I DID EAT THE RUNNY EGG JIZZ that seeped out of the bread onto my plate. Verdict: with this dish it was doable as there were so many flavors going on the egg jizz just kind of blended in. BUT I did notice it and kind of worked my way around it a little but honestly I'm still a scrambled or eggs fried hard girl. I snagged a few potatoes off of Max M's plate as he would not stop saying how good they were. They were. SO GOOD! Probably the best breakfast potatoes I have ever had (excluding hash browns). They were crisped perfectly and had the most addicting seasoning. Coffee was served in a big ol mug and was just what we needed to get the day going. Service of course was great. Every single bite was savory and delicious! I highly, highly recommend trying this unique and wholesome chicken sandwich. You will not be disappointed. Toast is a humble, tightly packed eatery. The early bird gets the worm, so I suggest arriving close to opening time (6:30 AM) to avoid the crowds. I can't forget about the amazing people who work at Toast. Lisa, my waitress, was incredibly engaging. She somehow managed to have a full conversation with me and other patrons while maintaining a stellar level of service. I've been eating at this restaurant since it opened and it has been consistently awesome. The service is always friendly, fast and efficient, but the real attraction for me is the excellent food and gigantic portions. I especially recommend the Turkey Pedro and the Santa Fe French Toast but I have yet to try anything here that wasn't slap-your-momma good and with portion sizes large enough to require their own zip code. This is hands-down my favorite place to eat when I go out. It does get very busy on the weekends so it's best to get there early. The main parking lot is small so I usually just park around back. The only real downside of this restaurant is that it's a half hour drive from my home. A drive I find myself making often. read more

Great news, Toast has moved to a new location, not closed. As usual they are always busy but we'll worth the wait. They have a French Toast Flight that is sweet, but oh so delicious! Another favorite is the Lumberjack breakfast. The plates are huge so my husband & I usually share. They gave a Bloody Mary with the dill pickle mix that I live, but be sure you like pickles because it's a strong taste. I don't drink Mimosas but my daughter always gets those. read more

Located on the boundaries of quaint downtown Littleton, it's conveniently near our home and we've had nothing but great food and service every time we walk in! The parking lot was packed as expected, so we drove past the establishment and found a spot in front of a local gift shop that sold antique, country-style, cottage items. What helped with the wait time is the fact that Toast set-up a little cart with complimentary coffee, with all the fixings (cups, cream, sugar). Again, did I mention that the coffee is AWESOME?! Oh ya, I did. :) Anyway, the time flew by and we were seated. Our server walked up and welcomed us to Toast. He had such a wonderful, bright smile on his face. His demeanor was absolutely delightful! He also cracked a few jokes, which we truly enjoyed. We ordered the Lumberjack w a side of Biscuits and Gravy & the Chicken Fried Steak w a side of French Toast. Yes, we were hungry (okay, we were flat out gluttons but that was intentional and it was awesome).The Lumberjack came with a huge slice of honey baked ham, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 link sausages, 3 eggs and skillet fried potatoes. This was a meal for a King! Or a lumberjack :) The steak was breaded and fried perfectly, with 2 eggs placed delicately on top and smothered with gravy, assisted with a heaping serving of skillet fried potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious, including our additional sides of Biscuits and Gravy & French Toast. At the end of this feast, we rolled ourselves out, but was generously thanked for visiting by the staff. I love this place. Service is fantastic, food is great, the decor is perfect and the location is convenient. I have been wanting to go to Toast for a long time as I've heard many good things about it. I went for lunch this week and although I enjoyed it, I'm not sure what all the hype is about. I ordered the Santa Fe French toast, which is french toast layered with chorizo, cheese, eggs, and chiles. My friend had a breakfast burrito. The portions were quite large, but the taste was just average. If I were to go back, I would try one of their varieties of pancakes as the customers next to us had pancakes and they looked amazing. Toast offers a nice variety of options from the traditional breakfast and lunch to more creative takes on the meal (Oreo pancakes, Corned Beef Hash Benedict, etc). Although the portions are large, I feel the menu is slightly overpriced. I feel they could feasibly decrease their portions along with their prices as I did not see a single person finish their meal. The staff was friendly, but not overly attentive. We had empty water glasses for over ten minutes, but never saw a server to ask for more. Overall, Toast is a nice place for breakfast or lunch in Littleton, but nothing to write home about. I keep coming back here because it's so wildly popular that I chalk up my "meh" experiences as a bad day, but this is my fourth visit so I think I'm finally gonna have to admit that this place just doesn't live up to the hype. I had a turkey, pear and brie sandwich; my partner had the gravy cakes (a pancake sandwich filled with country gravy and sausage). My sandwich was tasty but unwieldy: overstuffed, messy, and with bread that was so thick and stiff that it was actually hard to bite into it. The Boy complained that his pancakes were really heavy and that the gravy was kind of bland. This place was a really nice surprise. It has a modest sized dining area, pretty typical of a breakfast spot except for the french toast shaped paintings on the walls. We went with the corned hash, benedict and a french toast. What was there to complain about? The corned hash was certainly homemade and one of the best I could remember having. The eggs benedict had prosciutto which was a better option than the typical ham. And the french toast with bananas and walnuts was delightful. Actually, all the french toast options we saw served around us looked amazing. This isn't in my neighborhood but I think it'll be worth taking a spin down here again for breakfast. I had somewhere I had to be in Littleton this morning and used good ol' Yelp to locate a spot where I could stop for breakfast and this was the first place on the list. I scored a VIP parking spot and strolled right in. I was seated immediately and I ordered a mocha and eggs benedict. The mocha was delicious! The eggs benedict was good, however the ham had a beef jerky like texture to it which made it hard to cut and hard to eat. There also wasn't enough holandaise sauce on the plate and it could have used a little more seasoning. Overall, it did taste good and I enjoyed it. I am just critical of eggs benedict as it is one of my favorite dishes. Service was alright. It wasn't bad, but I had to flag the waitress down for my check. Overall, a solid three stars. Went here early on Father's Day and by the time we left the place was hopping. We asked for a table in back as we had our friend's one year old with us and we were led through a hall of colorful pictures - all toast that the small patrons had colored. We were offered a toast picture for the little one but she was more interested in eating the crayons than coloring! We were served drinks quickly and our food order arrive fast too. We had a glitch in the beginning when we mentioned my husband had a nut allergy and we were told we could not order anything off the grill- which is were the pancakes are made along with most of the delicious breakfast foods! There were no other suggestions made and it was a SOL attitude. I politely asked if he minded asking the chef for a solution and the chef said he could accommodate us by using a separate pan to prepare the food - this was accommodating and appreciated. Sometimes it is hard to go out to eat with a severe food allergy so it was peace of mind to know that at least the chef was willing to work with us. A flight of pancakes later and some correctly cooked over medium eggs & tasty honey-cured bacon and we were happy campers! There are so many choices that I am confident everyone can find something to satisfy - the gluten free toast was pretty good too. Parking is definitely a challenge so get there early! read more

We came here on a very busy Saturday Morning, but to our surprise, only had to wait 15 minutes or less for a table. I had a pancake flight with Lemon Blueberry, Peach Berry, Key Lime & Banana's foster. It was very yummy but what was disappointing was that I had ordered them all Multigrain and the all came out White. The waiter offered to take them back but I was starving and didn't want to have to wait again. My hubby had a giant coffee and the Steak Ranchero. It was nice, very large serving. The fresh Pico really was a nice addition to the whole meal. We also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy but haven't had the chance to eat them yet, we were so full we didn't finish our meals (and that's rare for us) so we took them to go. One of our favorite breakfast spots. The wait time is a little ridiculous, we try to go during the week because on weekends in the winter you are freezing since there is no area to wait inside, and you can wait up to an hour. They use to have oreo pancakes which were like heaven on a plate and they stopped serving them and we don't know why, they were the best thing on the menu. Their food is really good but please bring back the oreo pancakes! Also, ask for a table not by the door, again in the winter you have people standing right in front of you while you're trying to eat and it is a touch awkward. If you ever have a hankering for sweet pancakes, Toast is absolutely the place to unhanker your ing. I've been here 3 times now and each time they have hit the spot. It sucks having to wait in the parking lot, but at least they put out free coffee while you wait. Which is usually a 15 minute wait in my experience, the parking is tight too so sometimes you may need to park on the street. Now waiting/parking aside, the pancakes are fantastic. I have not been able to pull myself away from the pancakes to branch out into egg based breakfast here at Toast, but I love those pancakes. The Carrot Cake Pancakes are very tasty and I had them the first 2 times before giving into the Strawberry Bannana Cheesecake Pancakes. Ohhhhh Momma.
