My husband and I were really excited to try this place. They have gluten free French toast! I was convinced the minute I saw that on the menu. However, though the staff were friendly and we were seated quickly, my potatoes and omelette were only lukewarm, the coffee was pretty awful tasting even with cream and sugar, and the gluten free French toast was also barely warm. And we were sitting under an air vent, so our food got cold quickly! It all tasted good except the coffee, it was just cold. So bummed. read more

This is the absolute best breakfast place I've ever been to! The restaurant is somewhat smaller and family owned, but even during a busy breakfast rush we were seated quickly. Our server was extremely helpful and friendly. The menu was so full of incredible food we could barely choose and wanted to come back to try more! The wait is long, even with ahead waitlisting. Service was great! The reason I'm giving it a 3 stars is because I find it annoying that ALL their sauces are meat based. The gravy for biscuits and gravy has meat, the green chili has meat and so does the red enchilada sauce. French toast is Huge, the Toast Omelette was good also. Just recently, I finally got around to eating here after driving by it for quite some time. I should have gone sooner! The breakfast food is great. I had a smothered chorizo omelet, my gf had the bourbon french toast. Both fantastic! Be warned..... very big portions. Service was very good. My only negative is the seating. Way too many tables crammed into way too small of a space. If you want a private conversation, don't go here. read more

You can really see the care and attention to detail in the food here. Presentation is lovely without coming off as pretentious. I don't think I've had anything here that I didn't like. Fresh squeezed juices, and super friendly staff. I will say that it is a hair on the overpriced side and I really wish they served champagne. Other than that, solid spot. read more

Based on the reviews I had higher hopes. The breakfast potatoes were under cooked, the biscuits were under cooked, the honey fried chicken was too sweet for my tastes, and the sausage in the country gravy didn't seem seasoned so the gravy was lacking a meaty sausage flavor. The hot chocolate might have been from packets,I'm not sure. The chicken fried steak was over done. The crab cake benedict was very fishy and really needed the hollandaise to help mask that taste. The sourdough toast was amazingly thick and good. The bourbon pecan french toast was very tasty though I would have preferred if the pecans had been crunchy and the whipped cream hadn't been from a can. For the prices they charge I was hoping for a little more love and care in the food preparation. read more

Listen up restaurant owners and managers! This is how you turn a guest's terrible experience into a great one! We've come here often, but before I started Yelping. Thus, the reason for never reviewing Toast before. It's always been excellent with my favorite being the Eggs Blackstone! The best Benny in town, and what I usually order. Today, my hubby and I both ordered something different. He got the corned beef hash (which was awesome) and I got the Monte Cristo. I knew as soon as it came that I would be sending it back (which is something I've literally only done once). It was a hot, soggy mess. I could see it was piled high with meat, but I could barely pick it up because it was so wet. I sent it back, and the manager came shortly after. He apologized and told me took it off the bill. He also truly wanted to make sure I didn't leave hungry. I had ordered a cup of soup with my sandwich, so I asked for another. He brought me another cup of Tomato Basil and also a cup of homemade Posole'. Having grown up in Albuquerque, I appreciated the delicious green Chile in it. The Tomato Basil was fabulous. Will I order the Monte Cristo again? No, but I will definitely be back to Toast again. read more

When the chefs are on, this place is great. But I'm starting to believe Toast is a "hit or miss" restaurant. Seems like consistency could be an issue. The chicken fried steak was awesome last time, but today most of the cut was fat. Inedible chewy fat. However the Rueben was outstanding...one of the best in the area. The corn beef hash was...meh. But the pancakes were really moist and top notch. I want to support local business, but for the price this place is a gamble. read more

Unbelievable! Amazing! Delicious! The blueberry lemon pancakes are outstanding! Our server recommended doing the graham cracker crunch instead of the ginger snap and he nailed it. The French toast was also amazing. We both had over medium eggs that were cooked to perfection!! (And in the dark due to a power outage). Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We stopped here for a Sunday morning brunch and the place was certainly packed. We checked into the waitlist on here which at least helped our wait time. The parking lot is not really large enough, so be prepared to park down the street and walk. They do not have a liquor license, so do not go here for your boozy brunch needs. The coffee bar was good though! I had the daily creation which was a rose latte and if was tasty. They only have one restroom stall which is a little weird, because the one bathroom is huge and could easily fit 2 toilets... I had to wait for quite awhile to get in to use the restroom. Overall the food was just ok. I had a Mexican entree which I'd have expected to be spicy or at the very least full of flavor, but it was actually rather bland. I've been here several times now and each time, am very impressed with the dishes. My only beef is that the plates should be very warm to keep the food warm. And if you want your syrup warmed up, ask for it to be hot, or else it may come to you only lukewarm. But the quality of food is just SO good. The French toast is great: thick slabs of toast. Pancakes are wonderful! And the cinnamon roll? Let me put it this way: You know how the best part of a cinnamon roll is the center? Well, the ENTIRE cinnamon roll at Toast IS the center! This cannot be eaten without a chilled glass of milk! The filet mignon eggs Benedict was just delicious. Servers are friendly and attentive. The long wait (they don't take reservations) will be worth it. You can wait outside and someone will come out and call your party's name. Our first visit to Toast. It's been on our Yelp list for places to visit. My husband and I chose it for our Saturday breakfast date place. We used the Yelp waitlist and were pleasantly surprised that we did not have to wait at all for a table. Our server attended to us quickly and was friendly. The menu is nicely laid out. My husband had already looked up the menu online and knew what he wanted . I went back and forth between sweet or savory. He had the steak and eggs and I chose the Corned Beef Hash. I substituted my toast with Pancakes. The order turnaround was great. The table we were at , in front of the kitchen doors, was too small to accommodate my husband's steak and eggs, my corned beef hash and the Ginormous (but delish) 2 pancake plate. It was cramped. Food was just the right temp, good portion size and tasty. I would of given Toast 5 stars if not for the table feeling so cramped and the pesky fly the was flying around ,landing on my husband, myself and the table. read more

We just tried Toast again for the first time in several years. It's better than I remember, and in my opinion it's the best breakfast place in Denver! The bananas foster pancakes are the best ever anywhere! ;) If you get them, ask for a small side of foster sauce, and use that instead of syrup. Trust me on this. :) Go Toast! read more

If deciding to go here for their breakfast / brunch choices, be sure to arrive earlier than the rush of people getting their morning coffee and french toast fix on. They have really good omelets. I tried their yummy chai flavored french toast but its made to be soggy. I'll have to remember to try their other flavors of french toast. We have been to Toast 4 times. We had to be sure it was the real deal, as we are both lovers of breakfast. Toast delivers the goods. The breakfast menu appeals to both the savory and sweet palate. The portions are enormous. The cheesecake pancakes I got were delicious and served me well later for dessert, as I could not possibly finish them in one sitting without going to Confession. The sausage and gravy pancakes are also a total nom-nom-nom. Also, the staff focuses on fast service and are always nice. We have not tried the lunch menu yet but plan to do so. The gluten free dish with the pork, eggs, corn chips and red Chile was very good. I was happy they had a separate GF menu. My friend had a flight of pancakes that barely fit on the plate. It looked like it was the same pancake with different toppings. Pancakes were very thick. The menu had many delicious sounding items to choose from. The decor seemed to be updated from last I was here. There was a screaming baby at the next table which was unfortunate and Certainly not the restaurants fault. A pacifier may have helped! Way over priced for breakfast. I've given this place 4 tries and I can say nor more. The staff doesn't understand that they are working in a Cafe since they are snotty. Being a foodie in Littleton is not a very enviable position with the dearth of good restaurants nearby, so I thought I'd give this place another try after some recent good press. My first experience soon after Toast opened was not a bad one, but it wasn't anything special. Eggs Benedict is how I gauge any breakfast place and Toast's twist on the classic is to use prosciutto instead of ham. It may have worked had they just simply thrown a warmed slice on there, but mine instead had been cooked to make it rough, dry, and overly salty. Perhaps that problem could be solved by a nice creamy hollandaise to coat over the saltiness, but as I remember it was watery and the dish overall was just not that great. But try, try again I did thinking perhaps you have to order something of the place's namesake to get something special. So the Sante Fe French Toast it was. Chorizo and eggs top two slices of Toast along with a slew of sauces that make it appear as if a clown had thrown up on your plate. That is if your clown has the talent of spewing tasty food! Queso anejo, avocado sauce, and some smoked chili sour cream twirl in with the other flavors to make for a unique breakfast dish. $10.99 seems a bit much for a breakfast plate but the portion is big and I was barely able to get through just one of the two heaping slices. The other may serve as tomorrow's fare but I'd rather pay half the price for half the portion. The chai latte I ordered was also quite good and the barista even came to ask me how I thought it was with genuine interest and was quite pleased with himself when I reported my pleasure. Always nice to see to see a staff who really cares about their food and it shows here. Also on the menu are a variety of pancakes and even a flight of pancakes for the undecided. An idea that seems to be a blatant rip-off of Snooze, but let's face it Snooze could use a few copycats with their always packed house. Perhaps I'll start one in Cherry Creek and call it P'ake to shorten pancake and keep Toast's and Snooze's one syllable name styles going. Either that or Billy Bob's House of Fun and Wonder. I don't think the posh patrons of the Creek would like that much though. Of course that's all the more reason to do it and make them come for the food anyway, but who wants to take that kind of risk in these hard economic times where I choose my places to eat out by the ones that I like but will also close down next... I have to get there one last time before they do... kinda like breakfast at Zengo that no longer exists. Now they knew how to make a good twist on Eggs Benedict. By the way, on that note you may want to swing by Tastes, the wine bar on 17th for breakfast sometime soon. They are sure to cancel that not long from now. Went there last Saturday and we were the only people in the place the entire time. They'll do fine sticking to their dinner crowd for now though, and Toast will do fine serving the suburbanites of Littleton as well. read more

Had really good food. Larger portions than my husband and I realized. Loved that we could use the waitlist for check in and skipping the long wait. Server we had was not as attentive. The syrup bottle he gave us didn't open because the syrup all over it had hardened and I broke it trying to press down. He grabbed it and slid back where its supposed to open with his fingers and gave it back to us instead of getting us a clean one. He also forgot we had been waiting to pay so after 10 minutes we just went to the hostess to pay. read more
